After talking to him I knew this was the place I had to go. He did a partial PPF and full ceramic window tint. He went above and beyond with service and really helped me out! I'm so grateful for Edgar and his crew! I had left my car for almost a week, each night he kept it parked inside his shop, which gave me peace of mind. When I picked up my car he went over the work that had been performed. You couldn't even tell there was PPF on the car, he disguised so well. With my previous car, I took it to a place in Portland, it was highly regarded on a tint shop industry forum. They still screwed it up, so I was a little leery about going to another shop and going through this process again. Its hard too because I recognize I am very detail oriented and picky. Autoshades met and even surpassed my expectations. They are a little more pricey than some other places I called but I have absolutely no regrets, you get what you pay for. The film goes right up to the top of the glass and was cut with nice smooth lines. I don't see any lint or dust trapped under the film either (like my last experience elsewhere). They even cleaned up the interior of my car when they were done. Staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. On a side note, on the tint industry forum I read, some folks are saying the SunTek CXP may cause an ugly green haze. I did not notice this at all, it really looks great. It even doesn't cause that wonky rainbow effect when I wear polarized shades, so yay.

Overall a bad taste! Found a great car that met our needs and everyone was really helpful while we…read morewere buying!! After that you are on your own! Car had some very minor damage to the rear tailgate spoiler. Manager was helpful in arranging the repair and ordered the part for us which we paid for upfront. The part was wrong and the body shop did an ok job dressing up the damage (without asking our permission), we had to pay for unauthorized repair work done by the body shop and we were left with the wrong part and told to sort it out yourself! We took it back to Chevy (McCurley) but they have a $100 restocking fee which we were charged. When I brought it up with the Manager at Alvarez all I got was abuse and the phone slammed down! (Interesting that someone else was having a similar response when we were looking at their cars!) Overall, if you want customer service go to McCurley, if you just want to buy a car from the lot and hope all is OK then Alvarez will work like any other backstreet car dealer. When McCurley heard how Alvarez treated us, they personally refunded us with the $100 out of their own pocket as good will (that's customer service!). I've bought 3 of my last 4 cars from McCurley (Mercedes/Mercedes/Honda) and I know who I will be buying from next time!!
