It was like I was watching Avatar in 3D as I was driving. I kept trying to grab at streetlights, rain drops falling, and cars cutting me off. I mean, after having three large and major cracks on my windshield for the last couple of years, I just wasn't used to having unimpeded viewing from the driver's seat. Seriously when you go from a wacked cracked windscreen, to a new one---the world opens to you. If you are living with a cracked windshield, I tell ya----just take it back in to get replaced. You won't regret it. One of the main reasons this was a great investment: Novus. Now I had heard about the business while listening to NPR (they are one of their contributors, so they get some airtime on there)---kudos to a business which contributes to public radio! The service was also top notch, and everyone was super friendly here. When I first came in, it was somewhat after our big snow of the season (I didn't want my windshield to explode and snowmen to start appearing on my dash). I called in for an appointment and they said they would be able to have me in the next day (they can get their glass in overnight). Their office was nice (I liked the TV behind the counter which had a fireplace playing---it made me a little warm). My windshield was installed in about 3-4 hours. When they presented it to me, I thought it was perfect. But they did say there was a scratch on the glass. They tried buffing it out, but they weren't able to remove it. So, without me saying anything, they said they would replace it. (honestly, the scratch was pretty minimal, but I think it's a sign of their integrity to bring it up) Two weeks later I had the windshield replaced, and I was ready to go. If you need a new windshield, this is the only place to go!

And my technician Abderrahmane (hey, don't come at me, that's how it was spelled in the company texts!!!) even repaired my head liner which was falling down!!!! I would highly recommend them!!! But a few tips before you go: 1. MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE. They are very busy and the place runs like a Swiss clock. 2. BE ON TIME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT!!! Again, they run a tight ship. They would like you to show up within 15 minutes of your appointment time. If you don't, you might not be seen. 3. If you want to wait, you can. The place has plenty of seating AND customer wifi available. I put in an earbud and watched a movie during my wait. They also have coffee, water, and cokes available to customers. They were prompt, professional, and courteous to everyone who came through the doors. I'll definitely make sure to use them in the future if necessary.

I just don't want this to happen to any other future innocent customer who entrusts their vehicle with Gerber Collision in Kennewick. I would appreciate a follow up from someone. While my vehicle was in the care of Gerber Collision and Glass in Kennewick, WA it was left unlocked (not by me, by Gerber). The vehicle was then broken into and ransacked. $500 worth of items were stolen, namely two pairs of sunglasses, which were hidden in compartments, and my home garage door opener. They pilfered through my glove box and obtained my home address, then used the garage door opener to open my garage door. Thankfully it appears nothing was stolen from my garage. I have contacted Gerber multiple times. On Jan 17, 2025 I spoke face-to-face with Lou the manager of that location, and was treated like I was wasting his time. He gave me the impression that I was making up the story and told me there is no way my vehicle could have been broken into. Not one time did he tell me he was sorry this happened, or in any empathize with me, but instead told me there is no way that would have happened. He assured me his supervisor Heidi would be contacting me, which she has not done. I have been in close contact with my insurance company (Allstate). This Gerber location is an Allstate "Good Hands" shop. They are well aware of the way I've been treated by Gerber, and this has been escalated. I'm asking for Gerber to take some accountability for this incident. They carelessly left my vehicle unlocked, allowing it to be vandalized, then have continued to act like I'm a bother, not a victimized customer.
