I have had Dan from pro-tech out to our Sandwich shop on multiple occasions for a number of different repairs on our refrigerators. He has helped with keeping a couple of old refrigerators working for years beyond their "better days". He's advised me on when to cave and purchase new ones and even gave advice on which direction to look when purchasing considering our needs. I have found him to be very prompt (mostly same day as call/text and often within a couple of hours.) This morning I texted him first thing (8:45am) and he called within a hour and was at our shop with the repair completed by 11:15am. I, as a small business owner am very very appreciative of having a pro like Dan who I have complete faith in his work. I just utilized this company through Old Republic Home Warranty. Dan's response time was insane. I literally had just submitted my service fee to Old Republic when he called and was in area. His response time was literally within five minutes of me requesting the service. I had a Nest thermostat that was failing. Dan arrived and swapped it out with a standard Honeywell thermostat. I cannot be happier. I had nothing but issues with Wi-Fi dropping and voltage issues with the Nest 3rd generation. My experience was very positive, and I would use them again if and when needed. read more

Dan was very prompt, professional and beyond thorough. Our heater began spewing a horrible burnt plastic smell and we placed a request for service through our home warranty coverage. He called in the morning and was at our house within an hour and a half. He diagnosed and fixed our issue in about 2 1/2 hours. He replaced our motor, as well as the circuit board and it was all done way faster than I expected. He triple checked everything before he left and we are now enjoying a warm home again. Apologize for the delay in posting this, but I really appreciate Daniel at Pro-Tech Service! He really saved me and came through in a pinch! For me, it was miraculous. My a/c went out two weeks ago during the heat wave of 100 to 114 degrees. My doggies and I were severely miserable, and I was trying to remedy the situation by buying fans and ordering portable air conditioners, which weren't going to be delivered for several days. I contacted my home warranty and they assigned a contractor that wouldn't be able to come out for at least another week! And on top of that my job was pressuring me, with no empathy for my situation, to produce work from home. It was hell!!!! But what a blessing it was when my coworker just casually mentioned, "Hey, if you still need a/c repair, I know a guy." I was like, yes!!!! Next thing I know I was speaking to Daniel and asking if he could come and help me. He was finishing up an appointment with someone else, and I don't know if I sounded really desperate, but I was! And God put it on Daniel's heart to come immediately after finishing his appointment. He really could've worked me over and told me that I needed major repairs, or that he had to come back another day. Instead, he took one look at my a/c unit and diagnosed the problem -- a melted/burnt wire -- and proceeded to fix it. Twenty minutes later my a/c was running again!!! I had no words! I wasn't expecting that. I was like, "Ok, Daniel. Are you sure it's fixed? I think I want to keep you here a little longer just to make sure." But Daniel was patient with me. He was my hero! The repair cost a small fraction of what I was fearing. I thank God for Daniel and his willingness to not only come immediately when my other remedies would've taken forever, but for also being honest and trustworthy, not overcharging me or upselling me, and for being so kind in my moment of desperation. I told him several times, but I'll say it again, Thank you, Daniel!!!! May God bless you for being a blessing to me! Many business owners don't see the value in being honorable and trustworthy, and take every opportunity to take advantage of people. But I pray that God will bless you with the heart to continue being better than those others and as a result, I pray that you'll find yourself with more success than you know what to do with! Dan, the young gentleman of Pro-Tech, who came to our house the other day, is the epitome of that description. Unfortunately I have been trying to call Pro-Tech since 6/22, left various messages. As a matter-of-fact just called again NO ANSWER! The answering machine says they are busy but how do you run a business by not answering a call or returning messages. Probably not the type of business you want to do business with if they are never available. He was chosen by our home warranty company, he called to schedule right away, and arrived when he said he would. He was professional and had every tool that he needed to fix my heater right away. I have an account with first American home warranty service and they contracted Pro tech to come and fix my heating unit. The guy basically accused me of lying when i said i just replaced my filter then wrote on the receipt that the filter was dirty even though he never checked because he didnt want to climb on the ladder. The heater worked for a few days and stopped. Contacted AHW again and they said Pro tech will come out. This was Monday. Today is Wednesday and no word from them. Called AHW back to let them know and they said Pro tech is refusing to come to my home for service due to the condition of my heater. Well they did not mention there was a condition when they came out and also how do you refuse to come out and why did they not even contact AHW to say this. Meanwhile its cold in my house and i have my elderly father here. Poor Poor service. read more

Wasted my time. My home warranty assigned pro tech to me. 3 hours after the work order request I received a call from Dan. He first expressed interest in the call and had me go into details. I believe after potentially knowing what may be the problem, he did not want to take on the job. After the conversation he mentioned he will reassign contractor as he is fully booked for the summer. I have a feeling the job was assessed and filtered to his liking. No point in asking for details when not being able to make the appointment. A courtesy call would suffice. 2 stars for friendliness over the phone. read more

So, this past weekend I was out adulting, shopping, running errands. I come home and notice that the a/c isn't blowing any air into my house. Thank goodness for our home warranty. I have one with Old Republic. Legit! So I called them this past Friday, late afternoon, and let them know what was going on. I was assigned to Pro-Tech Service. Within an hour of making my claim/service request through Old Republic Dan called me to set up a date and time to come check it out. He came out the next day. He diagnosed the issue, and let me know what was wrong with the unit right away. He had to get the part for my a/c unit, luckily it was in stock, and he was able to get it fixed by Monday. My home warranty company gave me Pro-Tech Service to call when my air conditioning went out. I called that day, June 29th. I called everyday for a week. Mind you this is during very hot weather and smoky skies from the fires. I understand that they were probably busy. However, not only did the company never answer the phone, they never returned my phone call over a two week period. A return phone call would have helped. I called Old Republic Home Warranty back after a few days and the woman I spoke to became quite angry when I told her the situation, so she told me that she would call Pro-Tech. I then waited again. I see that the owner did this to others and said he transferred their job. Well he didn't transfer mine as I was checking with Old Republic and I have a hard time believing he transferred the others, or he would have told them directly. At this time I wouldn't trust Pro-Tech if they did make an appointment since they seem to be acting like they are out of business. I have been going through this nonsense for two weeks. read more

Horrible... homeowner warranty contracted them to fix my air conditioner.. they began questioning me about the issue the other company found.. I replied but quickly replied "it s not what they found it about what your going to find".. when I told them that it was noted that I had a possible leak from a Encased system he started telling me that it was a big job and how he was under staff etc; are you kidding me!! read more

Dan was professional, and efficient and provided excellent service! I have a very old Lennox central heating and air unit. It goes out almost annually and I also have a home warranty. In prior years with prior repair companies, my heating unit would be out for weeks in the middle of winter because parts needed always had to be ordered. The slow service, as well as the inability of the prior companies to repair my heater on the first attempt, has caused me to be very skeptical when it comes to the companies referred through my home warranty. However, this time I was pleasantly surprised! Dan was able to fix my heating unit on his first visit. He actually had the parts with him! This is a first! He also had no problem climbing my roof (yes my unit is on my roof). Again, prior companies have come to my home and have refused to get on the roof. I will always request Pro-Tech Service for all my heating and AC needs in the future. I also plan to use Dan for my annual maintenance service. It is difficult to find someone as efficient and responsive as Dan, that also knows his stuff and shows up when he says he is going to! Thank you Dan! read more
