I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience…read more I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change with Sam, and immediately afterward my car began leaking a significant amount of oil onto my garage floor. Prior to the service, I had never experienced this type of major oil leak. Because the amount of oil leaking was alarming and made me feel unsafe driving my car, I stopped driving it and took it to another mechanic that was located closer to me for an inspection. Upon arrival, they immediately noticed the excessive oil leak. After inspecting the vehicle, they determined that oil had leaked throughout the engine bay, saturated the drive belt, and was actively leaking onto the floor. They advised me that continuing to drive the vehicle could have resulted in serious engine damage and that I was fortunate the vehicle made it to their shop. According to the second mechanic's inspection and written findings, the excessive oil leak was caused by a broken oil filter O-ring associated with the recent oil change service. As a result, they had to replace the O-ring, perform another oil change, replace the oil-soaked drive belt, and clean the oil that had been sprayed throughout the engine bay. This left me with hundreds of dollars in unexpected repair costs that I would not have otherwise incurred. I documented everything with photos, videos, repair invoices, and written findings from the second mechanic. When I contacted Master BMW and spoke with the owner Sam, instead of accepting responsibility for the findings, I was told that my vehicle may have already had an oil leak. However, the second mechanic's inspection, diagnosis, and written documentation identified the oil filter O-ring from the recent oil change was the source of the leak. Sam offered the option of having my car towed back to his shop (Master BMW) for inspection, but after experiencing a major oil leak immediately following the service, I no longer felt comfortable having additional work performed here. Once I re-did my oil change with the second mechanic (in order to identify the leak), I was then told that because I had not returned the vehicle to Master BMW for them to inspect, they would not provide a refund for the oil change, reimburse me for the resulting repairs, or take any responsibility for the damages. To make matters worse, I had already been without transportation for several days and was informed that the owner, Sam would be out of town until the following week. I could not wait another week without a vehicle, so I had no choice but to pay another shop to repair the damage so I could safely return to work. What disappoints me most is not that a mistake may have occurred - mistakes can happen in any business. What is disappointing is the refusal to take accountability after another mechanic identified and documented the source of the leak, as well as the unwillingness to work toward a reasonable resolution despite the additional expenses, lost time, and inconvenience this situation caused. I've uploaded for reference on how bad my oil was leaking.

I chose this shop because the owner ("Johnny") appeared knowledgeable about engines, like how one could get damaged, and how to best fix it. I had my vehicle towed to his shop, late 2023, from a different shop, after getting a quote of around $9k to replace the engine block. As the replacement and repairs were done, the price kept increasing. I borrowed and spent over $10,757 for the replacement of the engine and various components. I got a Cashier's check for $8,500 and was going to pay the rest by card and cash. He insisted I take the Cashier's check back to the bank and pay him in ALL CASH or he would not release my vehicle! That, to me, was a SHAKEDOWN. If he lies and states it didn't happen, I'll PROVE UP! I took the Cashier's check back to the bank and handed him cash. I got the keys to my car and left. After driving it for a couple of minutes, I realized how peculiar it drove. I pulled over, checked the engine and called Johnny. He asked me to bring it back & they'd run a diagnostic. I did and he told me "no codes" were detected. He lied. His manager told me there were codes. **By doing that, he simply confirmed what I had suspected (once repairs began) I couldn't TRUST that street urchin.*** I replaced the catalytic converter, all of the ignition coils and nothing cured the MISFIRE codes I continued to get. I even took it to Ford and they had it for THREE (3) days, unable to detect the issue on the NEW engine I'd paid Johnny over $10k for. They (Ford) suggested I take my car back to his shop, but I didn't trust him/them to treat me fairly and/or to make a good faith effort in locating the root of the issue. Especially because I felt like whatever the issue was, had been intentionally done by them. I recommend anyone considering this shop, look elsewhere. I wouldn't trust taking a Tonka Toy there, let alone your primary vehicle. After he demanded I pay him in cash, threatened to withhold my vehicle and gave me a car with a misfiring engine, he had the GALL to ask me to write him a review. Here you go, boy.
