My first time here and for a reason. While I typically prefer factory service, if I don't have the time to take one of my Fords in to the dealership, I look up a quick lube joint. Used to patronize the "Valvoline" on Western as it's close to home but as so many other Yelpers stated, they just can't help themselves from always trying to upsale ur ass. Gets tiring after a while. So I got off my keister , got on my yelp app and found this place, (and all the stellar reviews)... Have to say... peeps know they $hit!!! Uber fast, ultra courteous service at a price that's noticeably less than those "other guys" mentioned earlier... Used to bring our fleet vehicles here but they never came back with the oil looking even remotely clean. I'm guessing they're skimming by not draining 100% of the oil out or not using new filters. That's not the reason for the one star not going to stop coming in for that reason alone. read more

I went here for the first time on my friend's recommendation. I was tired of being ripped off at Valvoline on Western. This place was timely- I was in and out in 15 minutes. The price was great and they even give a coupon for a free hand car wash at S.P. car wash (not my favorite place to get car washed, but free) accross the street, which is good for use within 30 days. Getting an oil change is never 5 stars worth of fun but the staff at Shell Rapid Lube make it as quick and painless as possible. I arrived 15 minutes before closing but everybody from the technician to the cashier was super friendly, fast and efficient, and they weren't trippin' in the slightest about me pulling up at the last minute. They have a Wednesday & Sunday special= Lube,Oil, and Filter $28.95 + environmental fee. You also get a free car wash at San Pedro Car Wash that is good for 30 days from the date of service. 8/22/17 I went to get an oil change at this place and I will never go back. One of the guys there possibly the manger did the work. When I was walking towards my car I noticed that the passenger doors were cleaned mind you my car was dirty when I arrived. I took a closer look to see that oil had splashed all over the doors and seeping down into the windows. This guy didn't have the courtesy/decency to tell me what happened until I brought it to his attention. All he says "when you take it to get washed tell them to run it twice. If they say something tell them to call me" I had to take it to El Dorado car wash in Wilmington and Carlos the manager did a really good job at taking care of the problem done by San Pedro Quick Lube on 7th The manager at the car wash tells me "if the oil is still there when you roll down the windows come back I'll take care of it" I thought that was nice of him but I felt bad that he had to clean up the mess that San Pedro Quick Lube did. I will never go back and I will share my experience with friends and family about this place. read more

I've had a couple of bad experiences at other quick - change lube places so maybe I'm a little overly grateful here , but the staff did what they were supposed to do , charged me what they quoted and didn't try to sell me a bunch of things that I don't need . So I already have my oil n filter and called for a $ on labor for an oil change. A woman kept going back/forth with someone else there and says $120?! I said I think there may be some confusion bc at most, $ ranges up to maybe 60-70 but not 120. I asked if she's sure and she said yes, smh. AMAZING staff and service!!! I was in and out in 20 minutes! Full synthetic oil change for my Camaro was $85 out the door. They topped off all my fluids and checked tire pressure. Great service and honest people. Will go here again if I'm in the area! read more

(I think this is the same as San Pedro X-press lube so I may have posted it twice---but I love this place that much) I have driven my two Honda Pilots over 290,000 miles and Oscar and San Pedro X-press lube is a big reason why... This is where I have taken all my vehicles since either X-press Lube San Pedro Opened or I moved to San Pedro whichever came first. I think Oscar, has been there for at least ten of those years. He is really a great guy and never suggests anything other than exactly what I need. I think the longest I have ever waited is 10 minutes. I never get use to driving my car into Express Lube; I keep thinking I am going to drive it over the guard rail and into the "pit" where the workers do their thing below. I have always wanted to go down and look: I think I will ask Oscar one day venturing into this unexplored realm would be cool. I think that would give me a new perspective on both my Honda Pilot and Life. Just a thought... I just don't know how to ask Oscar without feeling like someone with very severe issues. "Gee, Oscar, it is a lifelong aspiration for me to see the bottom of my Honda Pilot from the Lube Changing Pit." I also have aspirations to climb Mount Everest. The problem is I am afraid of heights and really don't like the cold. I have seen many movies on Everest. I know the different routes, climbers, hazards, and mortality rate. I think it would be cool to say I climb the highest place on Earth. The oldest guy was a Japanese gentleman in his 80's. I think I will settle for Oscar taking me into the "X-press Lube Pit." It costs about 60K to climb Everest now; Oscar will probably throw a tour of the underground work area with an X-Lube, oil change. He already throws in a Car was at the San Pedro Car Wash across the street. There I meet many people each time who are getting the complimentary car cleaning courtesy of Oscar and X-press lube. I have often wanted to inquire if any of them have experienced my challenge of driving into the Lube-bin or, in fact, have thought about descending into the Lube Pit. I have been coming here with my truck for years and today I brought my Ford Focus for discounted Wednesday. They told me I won't get the discount because the Focus has a covering so an extra 4 bucks. If you're near San Pedro and need an oil change, this is the place to go without question. They did a full oil change service for a fair price (~$30) and were done within 15 minutes. The staff is efficient and acceptable in attitude, though nothing to write home about. That being said, when service is this quick and easy, I'm not going to lose sleep over that. I think this is the same place as san pedro express lube Ive been meaning to yelp this for a long time. This Oil Change station has always been great to me, but this past few times that i have gone it seems like one of the men working there have been very rude. I drove up like any day to get my oil change and the tall middle eastern guy was talking on his phone i was asking him if they were open but he turned around and gave me his back until another one of the workers helped me out and was very nice too me. I thought maybe this would be a one time event but 2 weeks later i returned with my wife's car and the same thing he was talking on the phone and ignored me i was asking about a price on a transmission flush and finally he hung up and was very rude telling me they couldn't service my transmission there. Over all i love the service there the staff is great and the price is reasonable the only problem i experienced is his rudeness. I would put 5 stars if it wasn't for him. read more

Went here in hopes of trying a new place for an oil change. When I went In for an estimate I was told my oil change would cost $50. I told the guy I normally only pay $25 but he insisted it was more because I had a special filter. I opted for another place. He tried to charge me more in hopes that I didn't know price ranges. I don't know much about their service but I would be careful because who knows what else they overcharge for. read more
