We recently completed a first floor renovation with iBuild and are exceptionally pleased with the…read moreresults. Our project included installing hardwood, all new trim and interior doors on the first floor, new windows, lofting our family room ceiling, masonry on the exterior brick and interior fire place, load bearing wall removal (including installing a 16 foot steel header beam), relocating the powder room door and a full kitchen gut - to the studs (which included plumbing, electric, etc.) We went into the project with a rough plan for the kitchen. Tony and Michelle worked with us from the start to modify the kitchen design to maximize efficiency in our space and fit our family's habits and needs. We revised and tweaked the design several times based on changes we made and recommendations from them. With each of their recommendations, they explained the "why" behind it - after designing so many kitchen spaces, they are experts and understand functionality and flow - and now that we're in our finished space, I appreciate every change they recommended. Their experience was what we needed to achieve a well-designed kitchen. Like any project, there were unknown factors until the demolition was finished and you could see what was behind the walls. And like most projects, we had a few challenges. Voytek, on Tony's team, found solutions for every problem to ensure we achieved our goals and the space was what we had envisioned. Tony made sure we did so, within budget. Our daily team included Slavic and Chris. They were respectful, easy to work with and cleaned up where they'd been working each day - we were still living in the home during the renovation so this was especially appreciated. They were able to take a photo I would send to them of a finished element - trim, a new mantle, etc - and recreate it to fit into our space, giving us a truly customized project. Their attention to detail was meticulous. Patti works in the iBuild office and was available to answer our questions, provide suggestions and help keep our project on track. She was instrumental in getting our permit and provided the dose of humor we needed to keep us sane during the renovation. She's Tony's right hand and keeps a very busy team on track. I have shared my experience and iBuild's phone number with those I know who are looking for help with their own renovation. Our house will need additional work in the future and we will be going back to iBuild for those renovations. I highly, highly recommend them.

I would recommend TND Construction for any remodeling project!

Lifetime just completed my basement renovation December 2017. I am very pleased and plan on using…read morethem for more work around my house. Pros: Initial meeting was very professional. Marc provided an estimate the same day he reviewed the job. The team of workers were very professional as well. They typically showed up between 8:30-9:00 a.m. M-F and worked a full day to about 4:30 or 5:00 p.m. They really worked with me and around my schedule. Since I was usually working during the day the workers would call me during the day with any issues or questions and we would face time a lot during the design stage. Cons: Let me start by saying I am very pleased with my bathroom BUT it is not what I requested. For some reason there was some type of confusion as to what I wanted. I contracted for a full bathroom with bath tub, shower, and a linen closet. - The bathroom ended up getting designed with a walk in shower only. No tub. No linen closet. - Again it's lovely but not what I really wanted. I had major plumbing work that had to be completed. (Worst part of the project) The plumber worked maybe 4 or 5 days and left a big mess after each visit. I wasn't as concerned for the mess in the basement work area but they had to cut the walls on my main level to reach some pipes. They cut 3 separate walls on the main floor and left all kinds of mess for me to clean. Mud, dust etc. I would have appreciated if the plumber cleaned up after himself just like the carpenters and electrician did. They fixed the walls that were cut but only repainted the small portion of the wall where the cut out was made so of course the paint color does not really match the color that was there. I will have to end up re-painting the entire walls of each of those 3 rooms. I wasn't planning on doing that. I was told the job would take 7 weeks. It ended up taking 10 weeks. (not super bad) There were a few days (about 5) where I was told they would be there to work and then didn't show up for one reason or another. Also there was a little confusion about the flooring I wanted. I said I wanted either a stained floor to look like wood or some kind of tile that looked liked wood. - I ended up getting ceramic tile that looks like wood. - I ended up being charged extra for the tile I chose. I was never given a budget for the flooring and thought that my quote price would have included the flooring. I ended up being charged extra for my flooring choice which I didn't anticipate. I know things are never perfect when doing construction. The few cons were a bit annoying but not super major for me. Overall I think they did a great job and I plan on using them again.

It got so bad I had to say, We can discuss your financial concerns, but the seller doesn't need to be privy to this level of my business. We leave out and he seems ok again, just wanted to be sure I could get the funding. I'm like no problem can you put the bid in tonight. He says ok. I call him the next morning because the bid hasn't been submitted and he is like Oh I was really busy yesterday. Ill TRY to get to it by the end of the day. Again he did not, After a week goes by. I ask do you want this job... He says to be honest I would have passed if I knew it was all this work that needed to be done. At that point I was done. We no longer need to communicate. They seemed genuinely excited about some of our harebrained ideas (a cat door to the laundry room, for example), and Dan did a great job of transferring our needs into a workable design. We were very happy with the execution, which included lots of different teams coming in and out, all very well organized by Eric. Bill's finishing touches were much appreciated, and included a custom built bookcase instead of a railing and small shelves embedded into our workspace. Incredibly, the whole project was completed almost to the penny we were quoted, except for a few extras we decided to add along the way. Eighty eight was not our lowest quote, but it was by far the most meticulous and thorough. The quotation was very competitive, and they were able to start the project within our timeframe. The carpenters were VERY prompt, needed no supervision, and left the area immaculate. While they were more than happy to follow our ideas, they offered some alternatives that made the final project much more useful and attractive.
