The nail tech was amazing! I don't remember her name, but she had many tattoos. She was friendly, very skilled, and up to date with nail trends. And then I made a huge mistake. I got eyelashes. I'm not sure what possessed me to get $20 eyelashes at a cheap nail salon, I knew better. The owner did my lashes in a tiny closet like space while an older woman watched. I'm sure there were several hygienic issues involving a popsicle stick and what I think was weave glue but I was committed. She sandwiched two sets of strip lashes on my natural lash. My lashes looked ridiculous and were caked with shiny black glue. A friend asked if I had a stroke because one lid was drooping. I tried to remove my wonky lashes at home and ended up loosing like 50% of my natural lashes. Five stars for the nail artist though. read more

My daughter and I visited today. I wanted a gel manicure polish change & daughter received new acrylic tips. We we both were ok satisfied because they were extremely SLOW......novice nail technicians & it showed (putting designs on and off, etc. it showed) We arrived home. Within 15 minutes, daughter nail is broken down beneath the nail bed - normal wear. So unfortunate. Guess we will have to visit the salon first thing and have it repaired. ....be prepared to pay top dollar for novice service. imma a heavy tipper, not for breakage and repairs though! I visited this place today and although they were busy and I didn't have an appointment they were going to provide me services. I sign in get my temp taken , wash my hands and sit down. While I was waiting for a tech for about 10 minutes 2 Caucasian women come in sit down and was immediately offered something to drink water, soda or mimosas. As I observed the immediate hospitality given to them I was explaining the lack of hospitality given to me to someone I was speaking to on the phone, the lady must've heard me say that she immediately offered them something to drink and I've been sitting here for awhile and never offered me anything. She then says oh I'm sorry would you like something. I politely declined and walked out. I will not spend my money with a business who doesn't treat all customers with the same hospitality. I would give this place no stars if possible, but alas, I had to choose at least one to write this review. First and foremost; I have been going to this salon for a few months and ever since the very first visit, I felt extremely uncomfortable. You can feel the judgmental eyes burning through your body from the time you walk through the door. And the service was kind of pathetic to put it lightly. And the staff had terrible attitudes all the time. It's just a gross place. It should just be shut down. That's the only way to put it. *I had only decided to come here in the first place because it was right next to my work* However, I did end up getting a full set from Julie the first time and it turned out pretty good. So when fill time came, I went back to her. I ended up going back to her 3 times. She's really good. And she's nice. But the service remained utterly terrible. And the building remained just as filthy. Now this is where things get ugly. I had to soak my nails to get the acrylics for an athletic event I did a few days earlier so I decided to go back to Julie to get a set. When I got there she was with another customer so even though I told them I would wait, they told me the owner was available to do them right away. So I was like "what the heck, what's the worst that could happen? Can I get a uv gel full set please?" Oh my, the worst thing(s) that could happen is; Having your nail color chosen for you and being told that they "aren't switching it so just deal with it" So she gets to the nail filing part and I'm slowly realizing that none of my nails look the same! One thumb nail is longer than the other one, a few of them had lumps all over, and another one was just so crooked! So I assumed there was still more work to do and then she pulls out the color I didn't pick and proceeds to open it. But before she is able to put any paint on me I try to point out what's wrong with them and asked if she was going to fix it. *keep in mind this is the owner* She starts raising her voice and telling me it's not crooked and that they're all perfect. And that she's not even done yet. So she starts painting them this ugly grey color and when I told her I didn't like the color for the third time, I was told they weren't going to switch it and to suck it up!!(Their words not mine) So she finishes up and I'm completely mortified at the way my hands look! So I start specifically pointing out what's wrong with them and asking her if she could fix it. She continued to raise her voice at me to tell me how long she's been "doing this so don't play honey" (once again, her words not mine.) she kept insist that they were perfect and how I needed to get out of her chair because she had another customer. But that's not even the worst part. I moved over to the waiting chairs just staring at my fingernails, tears almost welling in my eyes that I have to spend 50 bucks on this shit. Eventually I look back up at the owner and tell her how unhappy I am with them and if I could at least get a discount or something because this was nothing like what I wanted and she refuses. Which gets me a little more upset but I'm still calm for the most part. So then I ask her if she could fix them because I really don't want to pay 50 dollars on something that makes me upset. So she proceeds to ask me "are you going to pay or not?" While another employee keeps asking me if I want to pay with cash or credit since I got up from the chair. I once again said "I really don't want to pay for something that makes me this upset will you please fix it" So do you know what the owner does? Gets up from her chair and walks over to me and cuts all the tips off my nails and then says I have to pay her $30 to take them off. Wait what? That's not how that works though... So I sit for a few more minutes not even able to register what just happened. After a few minutes I asked if I could give her $15 instead of $30 to take them off and she declines. So here I am about to spend $30 to get these things off my fingers. THEN SHE SAYS, "I'm not letting any of my employees touch you, so if you're not going to buy anything get out or I'm going to call the cops and it's going to be really embarrassing for you" IM SORRY WHAT?! I didn't cause a fuss or anything the whole time. I just left with tears in my eyes. I found out after I left that a friend of mine got an infection in her foot after getting a pedicure at the same place. SO WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID, this place is gross and dirty. The staff is rude. Health hazards are all over the place. It's small and cramped and extremely uncomfortable. It should be shut down with all the safety violations they're covering right now. I am super happy with my experience here today. My nails were in rough shape after 3 months of shelter in place and my regular place (which I wasn't too happy with my last few times) was not answering the phone for appointments and I decided to give Pro Nails a try. First, the woman who answered the phone and made my appointment was just so friendly and personable. When I arrived, I was a little early for my appointment so I had to wait outside for a few minutes (no big deal, I was early and there are still restrictions in place). When she brought me in to sit down I saw everyone in masks and there were partitions between customers and workers for protection (yay!). My technician (I am kicking myself for not asking her name) was very nice, asked a lot of questions to make sure I got exactly what I wanted, and chatted a little (great amount of small talk). She was very thorough and careful to make sure she wasn't hurting me. I saw her clean tools before and after using them. The other staff members were also pleasant (the lady at the counter was really nice). I love my nails and I am SO pleased that I tried out Pro Nails. I will be coming back! read more

I've been to this salon a handful of times, because they do good work! I'm never one to write reviews, however, I do have to say that the Manager at pro nails is awful towards her employees. I was getting a new set, sat there for three hours total listening to the manager yell and make constant snarky comments to the girls. 3 hours of sitting around, frustrated, with half done nails while the manager got up to take care of her dog, clean, eat, sip on her coffee, and yell at the other girls some more. This place has gone down. There color selection is phenomenal and they do offer you a drink as you wait, but, customer service still needs to go a long with in which they lack. I came in with my niece a few weeks ago to get a fill and a pedicure for her. We were doing a walk in which I was truly okay with waiting. They "accept" walk ins or at least that's what they promote. I asked for the girl "Rihanna" who did my nails last and I said that I don't mind waiting for her. I've been going here for 3 yrs now and a woman named Lona started doing my nails (managers sister in law). She left and I was devastated. I was happy for her because she opened her own shop in Philly. Couldn't blame her because the manager (not owner) Mira is a B-I-T-C-H ! She is always talking reckless to her employees and customers and talks about employees to one another and does the same with customers. completely unprofessional in my opinion I witnessed a customer almost punch her in her face! I had a good first experience, they were quick and I didn't have to wait long. My nails were a good length and shape. However I just went back to have a nail repaired and the woman who was fixing my nail was really rough, made the nail more narrow than the others, and left glue all over my finger. Plus there's so much acrylic left from the nail that broke off (that she didn't shave down) that this will probably snap off too. I went to get my nails done this past Thursday and by Saturday two of my nails broke off. I came back on Sunday to get my two nails fixed I didn't mind paying for the fix. I had my son with me initially because I figured getting my two nails fixed would be fixed. I was told kindly by the receptionist that children were not allowed but they would let me stay this time, I expressed understanding. However then the manager kept expressing passive aggressively how annoyed she was by my child so I left and took him to a family memeber because I didn't want to cause a disturbance. When I returned the same manager began "fixing my nails" but purposely left my nails bulking looking and didn't really put much effort in fixing my nails. When I left I still tipped her and the young lady who did my pedicure. First off that's way to much when I could've went to get a 25 dollar one right down the street.
