Update: I've been going here for about two years now. I got a fill a few days ago and my nails started chipping that same day. I've never had that happen before and I had accidentally broken a nail as well so I went to get them fixed. I asked for the nail to be fixed and if we could repaint the chipped Nails. I 100% planned on paying for them to be fixed. The owner was visibly upset, he aggressively did my nails then when I got up to pay he told me to just go and walked away. I bought a coupon on Groupon with deluxe pedicure and shellac manicure. The review made me a little bit concern, but now I am glad I come and have a great experience. At first, I was trying to make a reservation on the weekend. But they were too busy to take me, they forward my reservation to the Monday. Today, I walk in, and it is the manager, Franco, takes me do my manicure. The shape and the whole processing are wonderful. They use Gelish gel nail for my color and CND gel nail for my base which both brands are well-known and reliable. Then, a choppy, cutie smile woman does my pedicure. She doesn't speak English fluently, but she cares the details and would like to communicate with you the nail you want. I got wax for both my hands and my foot. This place not only is a dump and filthy. But service was terrible! I had a coupon in the mail for a full set for $25 when the regular price is $40.. the male asked me to pick a color without telling me it was gel. Didn't make conversation with me or ask me if I liked the length or shape. I wanted the coffin shape and coming home I noticed they're super asymmetrical and crooked. When I went to pay I presented the coupon and the man told me I have to pay the full price because I didn't show the coupon prior to sitting down for the service. I was willing to do the normal $25 coupon price for gel and pay an additional fee for the gel polish but he made me pay full price because this was different apparently. I do not like to write 1 star reviews but the tech cut me while trimming my cuticles-- it kept bleeding and bleeding and it didn't stop nor did she. She ran my blood through everything she touched. It was completely unsanitary and I should have stood up and left mid-service but I was in shock at the time. I could not believe it. So I pointed it out to her: you cut me and it hurts. We went in for 3 pedicures. My mom (73 years old) had to use the bathroom before her pedicure and they said the bathroom was out of order. After her pedicure and manicure they said "ok you can use our restroom now." Horrible customer service. How can lie about the restroom being out of order to a senior citizen? She has a very bad bladder and needed to change clothes after our visit. The man doing mine and my daughter's pedicures was not gentle at all. Warning- the place does not sterilize their equipment in-between use. When it came time to pay, the guy who did my pedicure grabbed the tip out of my hand. My pedicure wasn't good- the nail polish was globbed on. It was not worth $25. I feel cheated. We won't be returning. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Really wish I read these reviews before I went there. When I first got there I stood at the counter for about 5mins bc someone came out. The owner (older Chinese man) was so rude from the beginning. I came in he was rushing me to decide wat I wanted.(as if somebody else was in there) So I want him to paint my French tips bc I wanted them oval and not so thick. He tells me the white tips are better so now he can't change the shape so I said whatever. Then he gets to shaping one nail oval. I told him no that's not what I asked for. He threw my hand and start yelling "Did u not tell me Oval did you not tell me oval" I kept trying to explain to him but he kept yelling saying that's what I asked for. STAY AWAY! If I could give them zero stars I would. It's no surprise this company has 2 star reviews. A bridal party of 5 came in (we missed our appointment by an hour) to get mani pedis the day before the wedding. The manager had us wait over 15 minutes before seating us, when no one else was in the salon. One member of the party was separated, waiting for a pedicure for over 15 minutes. The bride had a specific request and they told her they were unable to do it. She chose multiple other designs and they didn't understand what she wanted. Her nail tech got extremely rude and started talking back to her, saying she was unreasonable. The manager took over the bride and I got the nail tech. She decided to try to talk about how "that woman is making her crazy" we got there at 1, I got a gel mani and it took over1.5 HOURS. Didn't even have time for my pedicure. The party stayed there past THREE with 4 techs working on 5 customers. My nails are uneven and shorter than I wanted; I even had to demand that they stop filing because they just kept filing! Completely unorganized and extremely rude. I called today to request a refund after not only having extremely short nails, unmanaged nail beds, 2 nails break and have the polish COMPLETELY peal off. The manager was Very understanding at first and asked that I come in so he can fix it for free. When I told him I'm not from Gainesville and that I'd just like a refund, he ranted about how he doesn't believe me and that he works with the BEST people, so on and so on. Worst experience I've ever had. I have already reported the charge to my bank and will be telling all the bridal party to do the same. read more

I wish I could give this place another chance but I just can't. I get a full set of acrylic stiletto nails. All of which are misshapen, some are long then the others, and different colors. I got there around 1 and an older gentleman who turns out to be the mangers husband puts on my nail tips. Then I proceed to sit there for almost 2 hours waiting for the manager to get done with another client because apparently no one else can do shaped nails. And who was pulled away almost every 5 seconds it felt like to either answer the phone or help another customer. So she wasn't really focused on what she was doing. And my nails show that. There was a young lady who sat down after me who was given a discount for the time she waited but they didn't bother to give me one even though it was going on 3 Pm. I received a Groupon for a deluxe pedicure and deluxe shellac manicure for my birthday. I had a great experience here from the start. I was received with a friendly welcome, and they got me right back to start with the pedicure. Also since I was getting the shellac manicure they just had me pick out the manicure color and one of the other employees picked out a matching pedicure polish. Professionalism is nonexistent in the salon.I purchased a Groupon for a deluxe pedicure and manicure. Every time I try to make an appointment using the Groupon they told me they were booked. They offered me an appointment five days away; however, when I went to the salon as a walk in on the same day they took me. If they don't want to make appointments for the Groupon price they shouldn't list their business on Groupon. Besides the fact I paid an additional five dollars for a hand treatment, (it's a glove with some type of a treatment inside of it) she didn't remember to put it on my hand until I was ready to leave. I was looking for a nail shop to call home and boy did I ever find that. Franko which is the shops owner takes his time with each and every nail like an artist. He has good conversation and is very polite. The services you receive are too notch however they don't break the bank. I have been going to them since around probably the end of March beginning of April and I have been pleased for the most part. Frankos wife Tracy is usually the one that does the designs for me whether it be my nails or toes and for the past few times she hasn't been on her game. One particular time I chose an anchor and she messed it up. All in all though this is a great place to call home like I did trust me you won't be disappointed. It was mother's day when I had my experience with this salon. I was traveling from outta town and my husband decided to treat me with a Mother's Day gift.. So we Went to Newberry road location and only one person was working at that location. An was booked up for the evening. They suggested that I go to the other salon location on 75th ct. I asked him if we would be able to get right in if I went straight there.. wrong!! it was an hour and a half before I was able to get in a chair for a pedicure with my husband! After we were seated we had to wait for another 40 minuets before anyone started to do our pedicures. My pedicure was done awful and way overpriced! My husband had a chunk of skin removed off the top back part of his right side of his upper heel. when the woman was removing the calluses She wasn't paying attention to what she was doing and was just brushing back and forth talking to other employees and my husband had pulled his foot away from her because it was so painful and she didn't even know that she had done anything wrong until he showed her. Blood was coming out of the area of skin removed. It wasn't even close to the area of the bottom of the heel where she needed to be removing the calluses!! I couldn't believe they charged us still full price for his pedicure afterwards but I can assure you this place will not ever get any more of our money. read more

Franco was fast and he did a fabulous job on my nails. 2 separate ladies came in and agreed to wait for him until he was finished with me. That's loyalty! My pedicure was great too! I tried to like this place because it's very conveniently located between my work and home and they take walk ins. First visit: There was no aesthetic, and the overall feeling was that the place was not clean. There is dust on everything and the polish bottles are grimy. They give you a pallet with lots of colors on it, but I had to choose 4 different colors because the place was so cluttered they couldn't find or didn't have the colors I chose. The nail tech started drilling off my old gel polish. I stopped her and she apologized and said she didn't realize it was my real nails. The nail job was pretty but l knew immediately they would not last because she didn't cap the ends of the nails. Sure enough they started to lift off in a week. It was 25$ including removal of my old set of gel. Oh and incidentally I also saw this: The girl sitting next to me was getting acrylics and she got her fingers nicked badly 3 times before she walked out bleeding. Visit number two was even worse. I went in 3 hours before I had to be at a special event. I know that's cutting it close but three hours should be plenty of time. Different tech than last time. I picked my colors which were actually available first choice this time and the lady did my nails and did a fine job and when she was done I noticed a snag and ask her to fix it so she started wiping it and the entire thing just came off. So I checked the other nails and they were all still mushy and just peeled right off. She took all the polish off with regular acetone and said oh maybe my light just isn't working. Long story short she did the exact same thing again the second time but let my finger stay in the light longer. Again the nails wiped right off. Finally when she was about to start for the third time she realized that she had used regular nail polish not gel polish. By this time I was going to be late to my event so I had to get up and leave with the lumpy base coat on my nails. She said come back tomorrow and she would fix it so I went to my special event with my fingernails looking terrible AND I was late. When I went back the next day for her to fix them she scrubbed the basecoat off really hard. My nails were so sore by this time from being cleaned and Irradiated 3 times. The nails were very pretty this time and they lasted for over a month mostly because she left my fingers under the light so long. When I went to pay I saw this is a fabulous service recovery opportunity because people make mistakes. If this were MY business this set of polish would have been free of charge with a discount coupon for a future visit. Not only did she not discount the nails she charged me full price AND had the audacity to say "I won't charge you extra for taking off the basecoat today." Meaning the basecoat that she had left on from the day before! So that's it for me and pro nails. Buyer beware.....you are warned:) read more

I moved to Gainesville and didn't know anyone to recommend an amazing facial and microdermabrasion. I've been going to the same incredible woman in Miami for the last 10 years, but after relocating here I needed to figure out who to go to and with caution. I am so thankful that I found Tracy at Pro Tan Nails. She is incredible with her hands and extremely knowledgeable. It's always a little worrisome to go to a stranger that wasn't recommended, but after diligent research I took my chances with her. She left my skin glowing and removed the dark pigmentation I had acquired. I've gotten so many compliments on my skin, and I'm going back today for my fourth session with her. I almost ran barefoot out of this place. I had a panic attack in the pedicure chair at Pro Nails. I had a bad feeling when I saw the Walmart quality nail polish to choose from, and I should have gone with my gut. I sat down in the chair and there were left over toe nail clippings in the tub from the last patron. I told the manicurist and she didn't understand me because she barely spoke any english. I pointed to them and then she cleaned the tub. I reluctantly put my feet in the water and she went about the pedicure. When clipping my nails and cuticles, I was terrified that I was going to get cut. I had to watch my toes like a hawk. Then she barely filed my cut toenails. I had to tell her twice that I did not want a cheese grater (which also did not look sanitized) to my feet. When I was hyperventilating and decided I had enough, I said that I didn't want any polish and that I forgot that I had somewhere to go (I hate confrontation). She slapped a coat of clear polish on and coated my legs with lotion with the consistency of glue. When I was paying - and I had to fork over $25 plus tip for this heinous experience - the person who I assume was the manager rushed over to inquire why I wasn't getting the manicure that I requested too. When I got home, showered the goo off my legs, and finally got to examine my feet, every one of my toes was crooked and jagged. Avoid this place at all cost! read more

Decided to treat myself to a manicure after a long work week. After calling several salons for a sns manicure finally found Pro Nails who said they offered it. Made an appointment and was quoted $35. When I arrived they did not have the sample colors, they asked what color I wanted. After pulling several colors out I finally asked if I could look in the drawer they were pulling from.
