During my pedicure, the nail tech commented on my hairy legs even after I apologized. It's winter in Wisconsin; it happens. Then, when clipping my toenails, I apologized again since I don't get routine pedicures, and she commented about how long they were as well. It made the entire service feel uncomfortable and judgmental. When I moved on to my manicure, the tech (I didn't catch their name) accidentally cut my finger and it started bleeding. I included a photo. By that point, I honestly just wanted the appointment to be over. I hated my experience that was suppose to be relaxing. The total was $135 before tip, which is significantly higher than what I usually pay in Appleton ($90 for the same basic manicure and pedicure). For what I received, it felt overpriced. I wasn't asking for anything complicated--just simple colors, no designs, nothing extra. Overall, I left feeling like an inconvenience rather than a customer. (Don't quote me on the spelling). It was the worst manicure I've ever had. It started to peel at the base of the nail after 3 days. Normally I wouldn't be upset because maybe it was my fault, but it was because she rushed through my manicure and didn't wipe my nails clean after clipping my cuticles and filing my nails. The reason she was rushed is because they were past the point of being overbooked. One of the young girls working started almost crying saying she couldn't "do any more" when they accepted another two walk ins after they already had 4 people in the waiting area....mind you there were 9 people being serviced on top of the 6 in waiting. I won't be going back. I understand you don't want to turn customers away, but when your quality of work starts to go down hill because you are understaffed it isn't the right business decision.
