About 10 boxes 20 minutes apartment to apartment. Of course I complained and the general manager was very rude and told me I was supposed to watch the movers!! I didn't see that anywhere in the contract. I was busy moving my stuff into my car and driving it to my new place they would not take my stuff off of the truck until I paid... Do not use them. Response time to my inquiry and subsequent communication was great-and they actually contacted me the night before reminding me of the time they'd meet me and yep, they were on time. So far I have used them 3 times; house to storage and condo (which had stairs!), then condo to house, and finally storage to house. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how reasonable their rates are. No surprises-they tell you up front what they charge and give you an estimate. There was not a professional mover among the crew, and only the leader had a clue. They broke 5 of the legs on our 6 yr old bedroom set. It now sits directly on floor, making it hard to bend down and open bottom drawers. They also gauged the wood on the side rail of the bed. Our purchased home had a beautiful door which is so chopped up from banging furniture into it along with walls that it has to be sanded and repainted. Pictures were taken by "the kids" and calls made to the office the same day. After 2 1/2 months, of phone calls & emails, we're still fighting for an equitable solution.

The only issue we had was the move got pushed back a day, but that was mostly due to another client being somewhat less that truthful about the amount of stuff they had, so the "small job" they were trying to do on the same day became a 12-hour ordeal for them. I get it, and it actually worked out fine. I have to say that William was more than accommodating, and the price was incredible! Completely blew everyone else out of the water! Bobby and Jeffrey, even though I knew they were exhausted, took the time to really put things where I wanted them, and helped me get a little bit sorted so I can live in the new place. I have a couple of physical issues, and I was pretty much done half-way through, but they just took care of it all, and now I can at least get ready for work in the morning. I searched on Yelp for someone local and Family Moving has 5 stars so I gave them a call. I thought they'd have to come out and give me a quote but Susie helped me out on the phone. She asked me to explain the size of the condo and how much furniture and then told me she would send over 3 guys. They charge by the hour and there is a 3 hour minimum. She happened to have a day the following week available so I booked them. Three young men showed up right on time and got right to work. I honestly thought they would be moving slowly to try to get the price up but they were quick and efficient. They wrapped a couple of glass shelves I was starting to wrap on my own - I didn't realize that was included! Once they got to my home on the other side with my hubby they were just as quick and efficient. He even asked them to help out moving a piece of furniture that we had in a room that we needed moved to another room and it was no problem at all. They wound up getting it all done in 3 hours and 15 minutes. We tipped them handsomely as we really appreciate great work ethic and attitude. I would highly recommend this company for any move you have in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area.

She asked all the important questions and provided me with key points of information that would be helpful for the move . She was also able to give me an approximate estimate regarding the timeframe and cost of the move. The day before the move, I was contacted for confirmation. Reed's provided my high-rise condominium with their Certificate Of Insurance . I was contacted by the crew 10 minutes prior to their arrival to let me know that they were on their way. Raz and Calvin arrived promptly at 8 am . They securely wrapped all my furniture and kyak and transported them to our new condo in a timely manner. We were extremely pleased with their professionalism and service.
