I hired ProMaids about a year ago to do a deep clean in preparation for a big party. I was happy enough with their service to hire them on for general cleaning every other week. All of the housekeepers they send have done a good job. However, if you find one that you like best, you can let ProMaids know and they'll make sure that particular person cleans your home each time. I have well water that has stained my sinks and tubs orange over the years. I was never able to get it off myself. Well, my ProMaid housekeeper made a point (without me asking) to tackle the orange stains. After two visits she had it completely gone!!!! I never thought I'd see that day. And, with the regular upkeep it hasn't come back. I also like that I can make special requests and they're always happy to comply. They are usually very pleasant and in good spirits, which always makes my day brighter. I do give the cleaners a tip each week. It's not required, and they always seem surprised and happy about it, but that may also help get great service. I feel like they deserve it when they go the extra mile -- which they usually do. I also make sure to be very clear in my instructions. I have a large home and it would be unreasonable of me to expect every nook & cranny cleaned when I only have them here a few hours. So, before they get started, I always go over with them what I want done that week. And, it always gets done to my satisfaction. A cleaning service is a lot out of the budget, but these are professionals and they can get a lot more done in a shorter about of time than I could ever do myself. My home feels so good when they leave. So, it's worth the money to me. I just wish I could afford to have them come every week!!! read more

WOW. Employee was 30 minutes late for a deep clean of a small empty kitchen, and two small bathrooms. Upon returning to the house 2 hours later I found the baseboards had not been touched, nor any of the door frames. The stove hood was covered in dust, the counter tops all had a greasy film on them, and the water in the bathtub had not been run. When I called and spoke to the manager, Roger, he became verbally abusive, called me "sweetie" at every opportunity, and threatened to take me to court for nonpayment (they have our credit card on file, sooo...) Really wish they had a physical address so Roger and I could have this conversation in person. She claimed to be there 3 hours, I left her at the house at 9:45 and returned at 11:45. Math and cleaning are not this companies specialties. Only refer them to enemies or hated mother in-laws. read more

This company is terrible. We hired them to deep clean the house we purchased prior to moving in. On the phone we were transparent that it was very dirty, and we were assured it would look like "new construction". They were an hour late, and the cleaning crew did horrible job. They didn't bring the right equipment to reach high ceilings or windows. They did a SLOPPY job on what they did clean, and completely missed other portions. They sent a second crew back out who was three hours late. They STILL didn't have the right equipment and missed blinds and baseboards despite being walked through the house. I would never recommend them and will actively discourage anyone I talk to from using this awful company. read more

Requested a deep clean, got half a clean. Service pushed back by 3 hours days before the appointment. None of the 2 dozen kitchen drawers cleaned, and four days later I was still finding leftover items from the previous owners and spiderwebs galore. AND the cleaners were not done in the timeframe estimated. Do not use this group. I was lied to, overcharged, and had to ultimately do all my own cleaning. They give discounts if you review, which is the only reason they have any positive reviews. I needed a house cleaned before I moved in. I was quoted 4 hours of work, and charged for nearly 6 hours. The check-out sheet claimed they had vacuumed, moved furniture, washed walls and windows, and much more. The walls were still covered with baby food from the prior owner, entire rooms weren't vacuumed, windows weren't cleaned, rooms not dusted. In total, 2 maids cleaned the inside of an empty refrigerator, mopped 1 floor (300 sq ft), and vacuumed 3 (200 sq ft) rooms. That was all, and allegedly took 6 hours. I was refunded for 1.5 hours of excess work, but they refused to do anything more. read more

Hello, I would like to express my concerns with promaid offices. They essentially stole from me. On July 20, 2017 I had my home "cleaned" by your services, her name is Lucie. Lucie (and a second cleaning lady whose name I don't know) were to clean my house for the 2nd time and arrive at 3pm. The cleaning was to take 90 minutes (that is what I paid for usually). Lucie had texted me around 3:15pm to say she was not at my house yet but would be shortly. I arrived home at 5:30pm. When I got home Lucie had left me a receipt like she usually does stating the total I paid ($90 plus I also gave her a $10 tip) and that if she missed anything to let her know. I started looking around the house to notice it was not completely clean at all. There was dust and cobb webs. She hadn't done a thorough job so I asked her what she had done while she was here. She stated she got a call from her daughter that was an emergency so she forgot some of her cleaning supplies. I then asked her how much time she spent here and what else she missed. She stated she spent 1.5 hours and wasn't sure she had missed anything else but that she would give me $20 off my next cleaning. I have an alarm system and it shows when the door is open and closed. I checked my alarm system and it shows that Lucie (and her partner) were only there for 1 hour which means they didn't even clean for a full hour. I questioned her on that and she said yeah maybe it was only an hour and that her partner was sick so she couldn't make it. Furious, I asked her why she was dishonest with me. She apologized and said that her daughter is pregnant and that it won't happen again. I then called Mathew who was in Germany so I left him a message. We connected on Saturday where I expressed my disappointment with him and Lucie. I explained the situation and he apologized. He said that he would give me a free cleaning. He also said that since Lucie's partner hadn't been able to make it, he expected Lucie to be at my place cleaning for 3 hours. I was even more frustrated when I heard that. Not only was Lucie not at my house for the full time I expected her to be there, she was there less than the time Mathew expected her to be here. I asked Mathew why none of this was communicated to me and he apologized again. I told him I want a full refund and I will no longer be using his services. He begged for me to give him another chance and have the girls do a free cleaning. He said I could "trust" them. How on earth can I trust someone who lied to me several times on one occasion??? I also checked my security records and show that the first time the ladies came in June they were there for less than an hour and a half!! I texted Mathew again today about my refund where he told me he cannot give me a refund. This is absurd!!! I basically was lied to and stolen from. I have documentation of all of it (text messages and security alarm times) and I will be going to the better business bureau. This is the most untrustworthy business and a scam for people to take advantage. Please give me a refund for my cleanings. I have also left a message with my name and phone number on the 877 line. read more

Our son gave us a deep clean for a Birthday/Christmas present after our furnace chimney rusted out and filled the house with dust. Victoria and Liz did a great job of ridding the dust from the home. They were flexible and friendly. I wanted more attention paid to dust removal than anything else and they were great. "If you want it done right, then do it yourself" does not apply to Pro Maids of Howell. Seriously, they treated my place as carefully and thoroughly as though it was their own. Excellent job, total attention to detail and a better price than Molly Maids. In fact, I had tried Molly Maids a couple times and it's just no comparison. As a local business, Pro Maids has a different business model than Molly Maids and the result is far better quality of service for the customer. We use Pro Maids on a bi-weekly basis. Typically they do a great job at a reasonable price. They have, on occasion, fallen short and have missed certain tasks. When that has happened they have been mostly responsive. They easily would reach 4 or even 5 star status if they can become a bit more consistent. read more

I hired ProMaids to clean my approx. 2200 sq ft home. Just general purpose cleaning on an every other week basis. They cleaned my home 3 times and unfortunately it was 3 strikes and you're out. I was paying by the hour for 2 hours worth of cleaning, whatever they could accomplish in that time frame. At best, they cleaned for 1.5 hours and did a very mediocre job. Left hair in the shower, dirty toilets, used my own cleaning products when they said they'd bring their own... very disappointing. Would not recommend. read more

I had a horrible experience with this company. I purchased a groupon for cleaners to come in and clean our new condo. I spoke with Matt who seemed very polite and professional and told him I just wanted the wet areas cleaned. I have 3 1/2 bath and a kitchen and wanted the windows wiped down and just a quick vacuum because I had the carpet cleaners coming right after. They showed up an hour late and decided to call me right at 7:00 when they were supposed to be there saying they had car troubles. They had four hours and two girls to complete this task. My grandma stopped in to check on the progress near the end (they had no vacuum, no mops) They seemed to be using rags for everything probably the same one for everything by the looks of it. The didn't clean my stove, nor the refrigerator it still stunk to high heaven and residue on the front, top of cabinets not touched (tons of dust) foyer and kitchen floor looked greased in spots not cleaned. Bathrooms the sinks and counter tops were okay, the bath tub and shower not touched still soap scum on walls and creases. Windows not touched at all. They did not vacuum at all, there were dust balls and pennies on the ground when carpet lady came. When my grandma came they said they were going to stay an extra hour because they were late and weren't finished yet. Good thing they did because they got nothing done on my list. To top it off they didn't even go in the basement bathroom and foyer they said they ran out of time. So I called and complained to Matt the manager he just kept blowing me off and say what else..what else, well what about the upstairs. I just didn't feel like he was retaining anything or writing it down he kept cutting me off. He argued and said we stayed an extra hour and our place was probably extra dirty. It was a fairly new condo with nothing in it so nothing to move and it was not that much for 2 girls for 5 hours. His response was send me pictures. Hmm well thanks buddy but you cant see the greasy glare on my floors in pics or the smell of my fridge or the soap scum on my bathroom walls. I just felt it was handled very unprofessionally. They also cashed my check with 24 hours so I wasn't able to cancel it right away. So avoid this company at all costs..they don't do a good job. read more

**BEWARE*** I had used ProMaids (Howell I believe was there domain) for a bit I've had more and more issues with cleanliness the past months but have tried to stay nutral and keep them around shame on me. I just had a cleaning this past week had LORI (supposed captain/trainer) and SHERIDAN (new person of 2weeks I was told - she's the THEIF) or maybe both. I have cameras outside my house and in my garage and on those I have SHERIDAN going through my garage snooping around. Which supposedly Robert (manager/boss/owner) not sure what he is other then the person that made excuses for these people he sent into my house. After I watched this on the camera I was alerted I called and spoke with Robert asking why she's out there I heard every excuse from she thought it was utility room which funny thing is you walk past washer and dryer to go out there to a closet to who knows. Then asked Robert why she's snooping opening up freezer and such all I got was o so sorry won't happen I'll make it up to you over and over. Come to find out more stuff missing in my house for the time they were in there nothing cleaned and little things missing. I trusted them my boyfriend told me to go through stuff didn't think of it till next morning I was missing stuff I use daily. Then went to my jewelry box and found my previous marriage wedding ring missing called Robert again on Sunday he told me he would call make a report and call his insurance Monday came around got a call around 11:00 and got from him don't no what you want me to do and I fired her I had a prior incident with her he said. So you let the b**** in someone else's house wow... I didn't have insurance on the ring it's my past marriage never wore it and never thought a company would steal shame on me but for others out there DO NOT trust anyone let alone this company. Robert also stated he had an issue with Sheridan snooping at another home I was informed of after this incident. I would becareful with Lori as well he stuck up for her but these 2 were in my house together she was supposed running the show. The house was not cleaned and they were in the house for 2 hours doing what going through my belongings. I asked Robert to get with Lori and find out what rooms Sheridan cleaned so I can try and figure out what else might be missing but haven't heard a thing I expected this seems this company makes excuses says he's so sorry but doesn't do a thing. If I could give this company a score of zero stars, I certainly would. We've been using them since last fall and have never been wowed by them, but kept using them because it was too much of a hassle to get another company. Many of the things other cleaning companies have done for me routinely (like dusting light fixtures) are things I was told were deep cleaning items, rather than basic cleaning items. All along, I've noticed that there are cobwebs left in the corners and crumbs left under the cabinet lip, spots that can only be seen at a certain angle (or felt if you run your hand along top) left behind on counters, magazines and couch cushions left unstraightened. There has been no good attention to detail. Their approach has seemed unprofessional, as well, with frequent calls the day before or even the day of cleaning, asking to arrive early. I once had a cleaner show up 2 hours early and let herself in without ringing the bell first. I wasn't even dressed yet. The manager, Matthew, doesn't really seem to care if things go awry, as they did last clean and this one. He has a glib answer for everything and is argumentative. When my iPhone charger went missing this spring, Matthew assured me that employee was no longer with the company, but never offered to replace it and I didn't press it. I kept using the company, even though I wasn't thrilled with the service. However, after the last clean, I noticed that the team hadn't even bothered to sweep under the kitchen table. That's pretty basic. I informed Matthew and he assured me he would let the team know. When they left today, they again had not swept under the table. They had left completely visible messes on all the kitchen surfaces, including a dollop of bacon grease on the stovetop, spilled salt on a counter, and a food spot on the table. They hadn't even emptied the sink strainer in an attempt to make it look like they had cleaned the sink. The rest of the house seems to have had an equally haphazard cleaning. When I spoke with Matthew about the long list of problems, he asked me if I was home during the cleaning and if I checked things as the team (of 2) cleaned, asking them to re-do things that weren't done right. I was home, but I was working and it's not my responsibility, anyway, to make sure his workers do their jobs. If they don't know they're supposed to clean the sink or don't care if they don't do it, it's not my job to make them do it. I couldn't believe he even asked me that. After speaking with Matthew and Robert, presumably from the main office, I have been told that they cannot refund even a portion of the money they charged me for this clean because the way the system is set up means their workers would not get paid and they can't not pay their workers because it's illegal. However, they could, they told me, offer a re-clean or a discount on the next cleaning. Well, frankly, I don't have the time or inclination to supervise a re-clean, nor do I want people who are upset because I got them in trouble back in my house. Frankly, I think with adequate training and high expectations on the part of the company, the team would do a much better job. I certainly don't want to book the company for another cleaning ever again, even at a discounted rate. Furthermore, if they can't give me a refund or discount on this clean because they have to use my payment to pay the workers for the work they did, how do they pay the workers for the free re-clean or the next clean? It defies logic that they are telling me that because of the system they use, they cannot come up with money from elsewhere in their accounting system to give me a discount on this cleaning rather than the next. read more

Generally disappointing experience. They promised a lot and didn't deliver. I paid $190 to have cleaning done on 4 bedrooms 2.5 bathrooms. They did not wash the floors at all except the main floor hardwood. The bathroom and laundry room tile was only swept, not washed. They said they would "deep clean" the kitchen and living room, however, they failed to spot clean the Windows or wipe off the window sills, did not wipe down the tv, did not move small furniture to dust/mop underneath, and did not clean baseboards. In the kitchen, they did clean the microwave, the front of the refrigerator, and the stove top. The bathrooms toilets were cleaned and countertops wiped down, however, they did not attempt to polish the tub faucets, they did not mop the bathrooms floors, they did not dust the blinds, they did not dust the etagere or shelves. Additionally, they were scheduled to clean at noon and didn't show up until 1pm. For two hours and almost $200 all they did was wipe a few surfaces down and vacuum upstairs. There was nothing "extra" or "deep-cleaned". I could have done this work myself and I'm very disappointed. I spoke with the owner, who offered to have either the same crew come back out to finish (I don't have time to fit another cleaning in my schedule this week), or a different crew will come out next time and have them clean "extra" for compensation. read more

This is one of the best companies I have ever used for over a year on a regular basis. Also let me say that I am picky. They are professional and hard working. The owner Robert Jaden trains the employees himself. They are able to do all types of housekeeping, such as cleaning the oven and refrigerator, doing laundry, and even scrubbing floors by hand. When possible, he tries to have the same team of two girls come to clean. They go the extra mile to satisfy the customer's needs. For instance, the girls have come armed with Jacuzzi cleaner, as they do this on every visit. Robert is almost always available to his customers, so it is no wonder he has been in business over a decade! I want to give my strongest recommendation to this company, and they deserve it. read more

I had ProMaids come to do a deep cleaning. If they did a good job they would be cleaning twice monthly. My appointment time was 9:30 am. They did not show up until 10:20 am. They were disorganized and sloppy. They were ask to get the cobwebs. Had to be told three times and then I still had to get a few myself. Every single nick-knack had to be replaced in its spot. They were moved all over the place. Set sheets out to change the bedding. They lost a pillow and two pillow cases. Pillow later found in laundry and pillow cases later found under the sheets. I had to go behind them and clean two showers. The chemicals used in the bathrooms caused sore throats, burning, watery eyes. I was told bathroom floor was mopped. When I went in the bathroom the floor was still so dirty I had to mop it. Vacuum cleaner spewed out fine particulates of dust. Not sure they ever changed the bag. When they left the house felt dirtier than when they came. Needless to say they were not professional and will not be back. read more

Worst cleaning company ever. I had them come to clean my deceased relative's home to ready it for sale. I showed them all of the areas needing cleaning before they started, which included a bathroom shower with some mildew. They missed many surface areas of cleaning, so much so that I had to go back and repeat the work. When they were half done with the bathroom, they quit and said they were worried about black mold. Why they didn't tell me this beforehand, I don't know? I explained that there is no way to know about black mold without testing it and just because it is black in color doesn't mean it's dangerous black mold. Typically that type of mold doesn't grow on exposed shower tile. However, they refused to clean anymore of the home. I was also told they would wash dishware, but they refused. I called Matt to complain but got nowhere. Save your money and hire a different service, or just clean it yourself like I ended up having to do. My 12 year old niece would have done a better job than the three people from pro maids. read more

Absolutely horrible all around. Their cleaning skills are terrible and the customer service even more horrific. I called to cancel a cleaning after I saw how bad the cleaning job was that they were hired for and was charged a $50 cancellation fee (even though I have proof on my cell phone that I called and spoke to someone a week before my appointment). When I called and asked why he said that he asked all of his employees and no one recalls talking to me. I have a 2 minute call recorded on my bill I provided him with the date and time and he said he would look into it. I haven't heard back from him about providing me with the credit. I am currently disputing this on my credit card and am debating on disputing the $255 because that is a ridiculous amount for the service that was provided. Not to mention, I still have to go back to my rental property and clean it again before I can show it because the floors are still dirty, the counters didn't even appear to be wiped down and the blinds are still filthy and I was charged $255. I spoke with the owner Robert when I called to complain about their service and when I told him how bad it was and said I have pictures, he said that he believed me. He said he would send the girls right back over but I told him that it was already locked up. The response was "oh" and didn't offer to provide any discounts or anything on the rate.
