I was not entirely pleased with the grooming services my dog received. The groomer apparently forgot what I told her about a specific area that needed to be cared for. The groomer took off too much hair. Yes, it will grow out, but the thing is, I had no personal contact with the groomer (when I returned to pick up my dog) to express my dissatisfaction. I had an appointment for a specific time for this 15 pound dog and was told to come back in three hours or so. I don't know why it took so long; probably because they don't do one dog at a time. I don't know, but I do know this. I'm not going back again. Not worth the hassle. The price was 25% higher than I expected also. I did leave a tip, but it was a lot less than I normally do. Our little one was given a terrible razor burn. Been going for years. Never had a problem like this. She really didn't seem like she was really groomed. Sent the pictures and they said it was a yeast infection and nothing to do with them. Well took her to the vet because her private area was covered in scabs. They said razor burn cost me 130.00 for the vet. Our other dog was fine but we did have two different groomers. Cost us 180.00 for the grooming on top of it. No response to my email with all the pictures and my vet bill. Terrible customer service we are senior citizens and expect things to be done correctly. read more

Took my senior kitty here a few weeks ago to get groomed due to having some issues cleaning herself + long hair. Best groomer I've been to. A lot of places won't cut your poms hair for several of their views. Pro groom allows you to decide for yourself what you want for your pet. As it should be. Some Pomeranians like mine do a lot of hiking and get foxtails and other annoying and harmful things in their long fur. Getting off topic. Oops . They are great all of the staff is just wonderful, charming polite and helpful. Their business is very clean. I couldn't be happier with the experience. Kona came out looking absolutely adorable -- her coat was shiny, nails were perfectly trimmed, and she smelled amazing! Her groomer Shannon has great attention to detail. I could tell all of the staff genuinely cares about the animals they work with, and Kona seemed relaxed and happy when I picked her up. My mini poodle has had some issues recently and he has had some major changes in his behavior, I was really scared to take him somewhere new because I didn't want to risk him biting someone else... yet it had happened:/ it was really hard for me to hear this. I'm taking the proper precautions for him, but the woman who had been bitten is okay, but this other lady who is used too bear was more than willing to take over her appointment and moving forward she'd be bears only bather and groomer, i never felt more thankful for this place, I truly don't know what I would have done if I could bring him back here, they have always been more than amazing and so understanding, they truly need to be paid more :) I will always recommend this place to other pet owners! read more

Horrible job with my Persian. Shaved her way too short with razor marks. Irritated her so much she was seen by the veterinary doctor. Blaming her for cat litter attached to her feet and bottom. She only uses pee pads. The owner sold the shop to non-experienced grooming staff. She is recovered, however I would NEVER recommend this place. Pet blaming is sadly irresponsible. read more

My wife and I have a big Siberian cat with ALOT of fur and unfortunately started to have a lot of fur mats. We were worried we could not find a place that would be able to groom our cat. We took a leap of faith and had our cat groomed and trimmed by Majesty, the cat groomer, and she did such an outstanding job. AGAIN, THIS GROOMING BUISNESS NEVER DISAPPOINTS! I cant express how much i love and appreciate pro groom for doing an outstanding job on my hairy mutt, ike! A different groom shop told me that i had to pick up ike because they couldnt perform on him since he was being "too aggressive", never in his life has he shown any type of aggression to people, he absolutely loves people. Pro groom told me after his haircut that ike was just relaxing and enjoying his time while getting his haircut. Even if ike was aggressive, i have a feeling they work with aggressive dogs to make sure they at least go home with a haircut no matter how tough of a cookie some dogs can be. A groomer named Mary absolutely ruined our Bernedoodle. $165 for a bathe and cut. She was shaved and butchered! A few months ago Ashley did an amazing job on her cut. It was a beautiful job! We requested Ashley again and was told she is not grooming dogs and now she just bathes dogs. The excuse for doing such a poor job was that our Bailey was matted. Our dog is brushed almost every day. Ashley didn't have excuses when she groomed Bailey two months ago. She was awesome. Now the management wanted to go on and on about why some dogs don't look as good when done... ? What? It's a shame that Mary was too lazy or inexperienced to do even an ok job. Mary did the cut in half the time it took Ashley, but Mary's terrible job cost Pro-Groom any chance of ever earning our business. What a shame. 5 STARS! We have a cat and she's a little over a year old. She loathes anyone touching her paws and nails. After buying so many grooming supplies for her nails nothing worked. Our cat would scream and cry just by us trying to get her to get her nailed trimmed down. I just purchased new dining room chairs with seats my cat could ruin but thanks to the wonderful ladies here I won't have to worry tonight that my cat will ruin them. I found this place on google and called. One of the ladies that answered the phone was so friendly, upbeat and kind. She said I could come in right away to get my cats nails trimmed and I did. I was out in under five minutes! The minute I opened the door my cat was calm, cool and collected. The whole time my cat was a whole new cat for them I couldn't believe what I was watching. I had been coming here for about 4 years getting my cat a lion cut before summer as she's a maine coon and sheds a lot during the hotter months. I had even referred my Stepmom, her cat to get the same cut. When making my previous appointment the receptionist told me that the price had changed from $100 to $125 but if I brought this up at the appointment I could probably get grandfathered in for $100. So at the appointment I explained what the receptionist had said, the new owner was at the front desk and went on and on about how I only buy 1 haircut a year and grandfathering was for their customers who purchased about 5 or 6 haircuts a year. He was very rude. (This wasn't my idea it was their receptionists) So I wait FIVE HOURS for my cats haircut and at the time of pickup noticed the cut looked different, but I had waited so long I just wanted to grab her and head home. Now that we're halfway through the hotter months of the year both I and my stepmom are noticing that they completed the lion cut leaving the fur way longer than they normally do without bringing it up to either of us. So here I am in August, fur everywhere all over my apartment, my cat hacking up hairballs. Defeating the whole purpose of me bringing my cat in to be groomed. So progroom charges $25 dollars more for half the haircut. Not only was this a bad experience, and a waste of my time and money. It was extremely shady on progrooms part. We first took our dog to Pro-Groom and they did an excellent job. However, after a few months every time we'd take her the price would go up. We tried a couple of other locations and then returned. When I explained why we left I was told my dog needed to be groomed every 5-6 weeks. So I attempted to contact them to set up an appointment to meet that time frame. I left a message for a return call, my wife left a message for a return call and we never heard from anyone. Today I attempted to schedule an appointment and was left on hold for almost 15 minutes and just hung up. I recently took my two Chihuahua puppies here for a quick nail trim before the holidays. We came as walk-ins, and everyone was incredibly helpful and sweet. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes. While my female puppy is a breeze to trim, my male absolutely hates it. I've tried everything at home, from desensitizing to lots of treats to hanging him from a sling, and simply can't do it. He morphs from sweetheart to snarling and squirming. I told this to the lady who took him to the back, and I loved that I could hear and watch the entire process from the waiting room. It took one, then two, and eventually three women to restrain and trim him--and they were SO sweet, gentle, reassuring and patient the entire time! I was very grateful! I am new to the area and have been searching for a new groomer for Rosie & Buster since April. I have been to a few different places and one did Ok and the other not so much. My Mom and I were out shopping and we saw Pro-Groom's sign. When I got home I called and spoke to a very nice woman they had a wait list so I was put on it. Right away they called me with an appointment but it didn't work. They called 2 more times and then it worked!! I spoke with Sally she very nice and I spoke to another woman who was also very nice. They really worked with me to get my babies in for a much needed spa day!! Pictures say it all!!! They were in desperate need of a miracle make over!! Haily was the groomer and she performed that miracle twice!! The cut is so smooth not choppy one area blends into the next. My puppies look amazing!! I'm so happy to have found a business that has excellent Customer service, employs highly skilled groomers who obviously take great pride in there work!! Look how beautiful they both look!! I was a customer at Pro Groom (Roseville) for several years but not anymore. Currently (9/26/23), they never answer the phone, and there is no outgoing voicemail. After a few rings, the phone call just disconnects. I have tried calling them occasionally for the past two months, but there is no connection. Their website also does not explain what is going on. Will my dog vanish if I ever get an appointment? Who knows? For my purposes, this is not an operating business anymore. read more

First off let me start by saying that the grooming job on our golden doodle is outstanding. I don't know the groomer's name but she did an amazing job, she deserves the tip that we gave her. My issue is pricing. Our GD is large, about 95 lbs, but very chill. When I made the appointment (by phone) there were no questions asked about type of dog, weight, height, disposition, etc. so I had no idea what the bathe and groom was going to cost. When I brought him in, I asked the groomer to just trim his coat, to even out (her words) his fur. I asked what it was going to cost and was told $120. Well, I get a phone call indicating he was done with the groom, but the cost was going to be $190!! When I picked him up and asked why the $70 increase from the original quote I was told that: 1) He was a big dog (you saw how big he was when you quoted me $120) 2) It took longer to groom him (it took about 3 hours, pretty much the norm for the last 2 years that I have had him groomed). 3) It takes longer to groom when you want the fur to stay long (WHAT? See item #2) Again, the groomer did a fantastic job, completely happy with the results. However, if they told me UP FRONT that it was going to cost almost $200 I would have declined. From the beginning Tammi was very harsh with my dog Leo. The way she grabbed him from my arms. I should've followed my gut feeling from the beginning. I showed her a picture of how I wanted his cut to look like. I especially told her not to cut it too short or give him a buzz cut. And that's exactly what she did. But that's not even the worst part. While I was there my dog was squeaking multiple times bc she was cutting so close to his skin. She cut patches of fur from random areas so close to the skin. I have never seen my dog have so much dandruff and flakes. She knew she did such a bad job so she decided to give herself an added $15 extra fee for "matting" without even discussing it with me beforehand. The grooming she did was garbage but her customer service and attitude was even worse. The entire staff was so rude. One girl made a weird snarky comment too. The lady before me had a white small dog that was shaking and the owner asked the cashier why he was shaking so much. Then the girl after me came and was also annoyed Bc they spent over 4 hours on her dog. They also took 4 hours on my 6lb medium haired yorkie dog. I take him to a groomer every month or every other month. And give him baths and brushes/combing in between. Unfair pricing. Said it would cost $80. To groom my bed. They kept him until after 7:30 pm when I had brought him into their place in the morning. Then they told me it was $300, and would not return him or bring him out until I paid $300 after they quoted me $80. When I had paid and they brought him out, he was in such distress and was shaved down to his skin and they did not cut his nails. They do unfair pricing and I do not recommend them for all pet owners. There are way better pet groomers. read more
