This review is long overdue! I have a very difficult medium sized dog (21 lbs) to groom and some groomers have become too exasperated with him and he is not welcome to return! They say he has a panic attack even with trazadone prescription medication to calm him. Some have nicked him, which I understand can happen, but I am so happy to say Elevated Pet Grooming never has and they have groomed him every 6 weeks for going on 4 years. They are very communicative, always confirm a few days in advance, and I am very happy to give them a 5 star review and recommend them! Elevated pet grooming is the absolute best! The convenience of them coming to your home is wonderful. In the past, I have dropped off my dog at the groomers and they would kennel him and he would spend hours there waiting to get groomed. I think that causes a lot of anxiety for dogs. I love that elevated comes right to your door and your dog is the only focus during that appointment. So EASY! & convenience to Plumas Lake! I used to be so good about making sure my dogs are groomed and bathed consistently, but then we had a child LOL, throwing off these pups' schedule. I am so happy to have found Elevated Pet Grooming via Facebook, as these dogs deserve a consistent schedule for their baths, especially with their shedding and allergy issues. We booked an appointment a couple of months ago, unfortunately our family came down with the flu so we had to reschedule, but luckily the ladies of elevated pet grooming made the reschedule so easy and timely. Their communication is great, and always friendly, and their trailer looks so clean and professional. I picked my boys up today from their appointment and it was so quick, less than two hour appointment and their coats are so soft and clean and they smell amazing with the cutest bandannas. You can tell these ladies are very thorough at what they do. I also appreciate the transparency they gave when they discovered an irritated spot that is most likely caused by another allergy on our dog Owen. This is something I probably would not have noticed myself. I love the fact that it's a team, having two people is so efficient and makes me feel very assured that the handling of two larger dogs won't be an issue. I have tried to groom these two myself, it can be a lot for one person, definitely trust this team with my babies! Excited to book another. & Competitive pricing! For reference: male, golden retrievers, 60-70lbs each, great temperaments, comfortable & friendly with literally anyone. These ladies are nothing short of miracle workers when it comes to grooming and nail care. I have a 7 year old English mastiff who despises getting her nails trimmed. It's always been a struggle and that's putting it nicely. She is the BEST DOG with everything else but her nails getting trimmed was like going 12 rounds with an alligator rolling and she would win at 135 lbs. Rachel, came to my home and she told more time to love on Rouxe than it took for her to do her nails. I was flabbergasted at how simple this process was as the previous people who had tried gave my pup and myself nothing but nightmares and anxiety any time we trimmed her nails. Rachel, worked quickly and professionally with grace and prowess of a Ninja. On our second and third encounters, I brought both my EM and my Great Dane, and Rachel worked her magic again. Both dogs were well groomed, ears cleaned, nose butter primped and nails cut to perfection. I truly appreciated Rachel coming to my home when i was laid up to get the job done.
