I have an old set of clubs. After a few golf lessons and some time on actual courses, I wanted to see if a new driver would help me. I've been to this store before to get balls, gloves, and other small items. (They have a decent amount of women's clothing, and there's usually a sale or clearance rack!!) The staff has always been helpful, so I thought it would be a good place for my first ever fitting. Setting up an appointment online was easy; I booked for the very next day with John Duma. I was feeling nervous about the fitting because I didn't know what to expect, but John was super supportive and kind; I felt at ease right away. I appreciated how knowledgeable he was about the club specs and current technology, and he was spot-on with his recommendations. I brought my old driver as a reference point and ended up hitting 20+ yards further in the simulator with his recs. I also was hitting more consistently because he was giving me tips on my swing, which helped tremendously. I didn't feel pressured to buy, but I did feel encouraged to try everything, which made the whole experience very low-stress and informative. They charge a small fee for fittings, but it can be applied to a purchase within the near future -- so the fitting ends up being free if you find something you like. 10/10 would recommend a fitting with John Duma. I'll certainly be back for an irons fitting next year. read more

I walk around the store for 15-20 more minutes and he didn't have any appointment, basically followed me around the store doing nothing. Went in looking to try and buy some new woods - and I did, so that says something! I hadn't bought new clubs in about 10 years, so wasn't really sure what the new golf tech was and didn't really care to sort through the bias online content and reviews. I got a fitting with one of their techs who asked me what I was there for, asked about preferences, abilities, etc. and then recommended some clubs and set to work. I spend the better part of an hour ripping shots on the simulator as the tech swapped out clubs for me based on what he was seeing and discussed what I might be feeling and why based on each club model. I walked away with two clubs I felt confident buying. A few notes/recommendation: - They have a wide selection of clubs, bags, etc. (more than many other places I have been in lately) - They have about 5 simulator bays running that you can use to try certain clubs. I couldn't tell from the website what the simulator situation was - I recommend making a fitting reservation by giving them a call. They were swamped on a Rainy Sunday, so they took my name in a later time slot and asked me to come back (which worked for me) - Bring a few clubs you know your distances for. The sims/practice ball combo results in a slight, but noticeable yardage reduction, so you'll want to know how off the sim is from reality by hitting your known club and comparing the sim to reality. Otherwise you might think that new 3 wood going 240 instead of 260 is not worth the $$. read more

I showed up at opening on a Saturday. The door is locked now and you ring a bell to be let in. I was greeted by Robert and he was super helpful and knowledgeable. He took me straight to the clubs I ended up buying after a few qualifying questions. The selection for women was not large, but the the clubs they carried were nice quality. I tried the driver, 7 iron, a hybrid, and the putter. Liked them all! Though I'm still not a huge fan of hybrids that's just what you get now in most sets. Robert looked at my swing and measured my height and hands to be sure I was getting the best set for my needs. Other people came in and he did a great job of bouncing between customers to keep us all taken well care of. The shoe selection wasn't what I was hoping for, but that's the trend now. Big sneakers. Ended up getting some Skechers that were comfortable enough. I purchased the Tour Edge Moda Silk women's set. Heading to the range today for my first outing. read more

Man it's so disappointing. I have tried to do business with this location multiple times and keep giving them multiple chances but 9/10 times I walk out unsatisfied to say the least. Let me give you a couple examples: 1.) Went in to get an iron reshafted and get a Callaway driver tip on a new shaft I bought. I first sat by the front desk and no one even acknowledged me for 5-10 minutes. So I walked to the back. The employee working in the repair center seemed overwhelmed I was even there even though he wasn't helping anyone before. Said they no longer repair clubs or re-shaft clubs. Even though I have had this done before at that location. 2.) When they did reshaft a 3 wood shaft with a Ping tip they accidentally put the wrong tip on it. I had to bring it back in to get fixed a second time. Guy was nice though however in that situation. 3.) I had a Callaway Epic Flash Driver and Cobra Speedzone Driver (like from 2019-2020) and was going to see how much store credit I could get as I was going to buy a new driver. Their offers were straight slaps in the face. Offered $20 credit for each. I couldn't say no fast enough and sold the Epic Flash on eBay for $240 for the head and $80 for the shaft and the Cobra for $250 all together. Don't sell your used clubs to them unless you are a straight sucker. Even a halfway decent offer of $100 each credit I would of went for and I was going to spend another $300-$400 on top for a new driver. They would of made money on the sale of a new driver and also on reselling the used drivers they acquired. TERRRRRRIBLE business model and pure greed in that situation. 4.) I bought a new wedge for $160 and wouldn't let me hit a few balls in their simulator. Like $160 is not enough must buy a $600 driver to use it or a new set of irons. 5.) Walked in and bought a Caddyshack towel. Probably the only good experience I had here. Won't be back and that's too bad. I spend a LOT of money on golf. Staff is a lot of times really nice (front desk guy looks like a nice high school golfer or something) but a few seem like even attempting to do business there is a complete inconvenience to them. Went in to buy jr clubs for my son We were very excited to try out clubs and get his first set While trying them out, the "pro", a curmudgeonly miserable old cunt, reprimanded us to keep it down twice He was white, about 60, overweight and had the face of an asshole. His tone was unfriendly and I wanted to tell him to go fuck himself, but as a father in front of my son, I decided not to This is a retail location where you try stuff and see how it works out, not a course where etiquette is the norm. Feedback and knowledge are needed to find the right fit His comments towards us, while my son was clearly loving the experience bothered me quite a bit Having golfed my whole life, I have never come across someone so uninviting towards a new golfer. You would think he would be friendly and helpful in creating a potential new customer for life. Instead he failed terribly Our goal was to buy a full set, but ended up only purchasing a putter due to the negative interactions with the pro. The rest of the staff we encountered while there was very friendly and kind to my son I hope that pro is not their boss, if so, must be hell working for a person like that This place has lost me and everyone I know as a customer until this person is fired. We walked in to purchase some golf shoes and there were 3 employees behind the desk talking. Not one person greeted us or ever came to help or even acknowledge that we were in the store. I tried on some shoes, some guy walked past us telling his co workers that he was leaving-still zero acknowledgement from anyone. Their customer service is ridiculous. We finally received a half hearted greeting as we were LEAVING. We will definitely spend our money somewhere else. read more

Walked in this store 8 months ago with no knowledge of which brand of clubs set should I get for myself since I'm so new in this game. A gentleman, John Duma, came up to me and and asked me to swing at the simulator. After 30 minutes of swinging with few different brands, I walked out with a set of Mizuno without pressure. However I Never felt comfortable with my swings after hundred thousands of balls at Topgolf and started to doubt about my purchased. Finally I decided to come in for my clubs fitting two weeks ago. John Duma patiently watched me swinging at the simulator then asked me to change my grip, my oh my, the balls went so deadly straight with at least 20+ yards additionally on all my clubs.Thank you John for making me enjoy golfing more than ever. I went to a competitor near by and had to track down a salesperson just to find out the didn't have the wedge I was looking for in stock and if I wanted to hit a demo I would have to wait for a bay to open. I went to Pro Discount they had probably 20 weges in stock was looking for in various lofts and I walked right in a hitting bay and hit as many balls as I wanted with it. read more

I purchased a golf bag in April 2019. I use this bag primarily for travel as it is very light. I went to use it and one of the main zippers fell off. I took it back to the store but it was beyond the 1 year warrantee. I understand that. They did agree that the bag had been very lightly used. Having grown up in the retail business and seeing similar situations many times, I expected them to offer me a similar product at cost or a discount. I was basically told there was nothing they could do and sent on my way. I emailed the manager of the store and received a prompt response but with no offer for any sort of restitution. I was very disappointed. Golf is an expensive game and there are many places to purchase equipment. I prefer to patronize a business that stands behind their products. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My wife was trying to be nice and bought me the 2014 Nike Covert SVR driver. She wasn't sure if I would want it so she paid cash and made sure with the person she purchased it from that if she paid cash that there would be no hassles on returns. Sales person says, no problem. Well there is a problem folks so do not ever trust these used car salesmen at this golf store. After Christmas I went back on Sat the 27th to return it with the receipt. Guess what, "our policy is that we can not give more than $100 in cash back", what the hell. The guy helping me was a total moron. I have the receipt. It shows I paid cash. My wife was told we could get it back what's the deal. I have to follow rules. Don't want to lose my job over it. Call your manager. Hmmm and haaa but never makes the call because he looks like his afraid that his dad will yell at him. I can credit your debit card or you can come back for my manager to right a check. Hey idiot, I don't live close and its a hassle for me to get back. I guess cash doesn't mean cash at this place. So fine credit my bank card so I can get the F out of here. Come Monday, check my account and no credit to my account. I call the store and talk to the manager. Sorry about this but yeah it will take about 3 days before your credit will come through. Not our fault but our company that we use. Great excuses Pro Ripe Off. You guys should go into money laundering oops I think you already are. Word of advise to anyone getting golf equipment. Golf is an expensive hobby and lots of equipment is needed from clubs to bags to balls to tees and practice tools. Pro Golf Discount is certainly a great place to find all of these necessities. However be careful to ask lots of questions before dropping a couple of hundred of dollars on equipment then find out that even though they say they have a 30 day return policy, you won't get 100% of your money back if you have used the equipment. Also even though they have a website where you can buy online they are considered two separate businesses so don't expect to get the same deals. While they tell you they match prices they don't match prices with their own website. Go figure! Overall, the staff is very helpful, but not very clear in explaining their return policy. read more

After waiting for an hour for a staff member to assist me I left the store and went to Puetz Golf where I greeted at the door and received excellent service (helpful, low pressure advice - including a professional fitter and golf swing metric system not unlike the one touted by Pro Golf). Three different sales people at Pro Golf made eye contact with me multiple times and never bothered to asked me if I had any questions / needed assistance/ etc. In several ways the Pro Golf facility is better than that of Puetz, but the service that I experienced at Pro Golf was frightful. read more

I was looking for the white cart with red accents which is available on line. Little Carver guy assured me it didnt exist and instead of assisting me in looking he went to look it up on the computer. great service for lefties - excellent advice and club fitting - set me up with what turned out to be a great set of clubs for me. My handicap dropped by 5 strokes within a month of getting fitted there. Pricing was very competitive. Sales folks were very helpful and were not pushy. My family gave me a gift card here for Christmas and I came in last month to pick up some new irons for the upcoming golf season. I got great help from a younger employee, who talked me through some of the better options for a golfer of my ability (15 handicap). I hit a few different models into their cool screens that project a virtual driving range. The young man was able to show me how far and how straight I was hitting each club and it was really awesome to see with my own eyes which one was performing the best. I've been to plenty of similar stores around the country and it always felt like they were pushing a certain brand on me, but that wasn't the case here. It would have been impossible anyways because the machine showed me the best choice was a Cobra combo set with irons and hybrids. He did however point out I was losing distance with my slice and recommended talking to their teacher named Jim. I've taken one lesson with Jim already with the new clubs and he has got me drawing the ball occasionally, which is something I've never been able to do in 20+ years of golfing. I haven't been able to get a round in yet but I'm excited for better weather to put my new clubs and new swing to good use. I'm really thankful my job relocated me down to South Seattle last year because this store has been a great find. read more
