Large selection of golf apparel for Women. Got my clubs re-gripped for fairly cheap. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We found the shoes we wanted, hubby got work boots, and walking shoes, I found a pair of walking shoes for our convention we will be attending. Lots of walking. Place was clean, I used the restroom and it was clean also. The prices was also affordable for comfy shoes. I don't get why they have a 1.5 star rating. I told people none of the poor ratings were from Elite Yelpers so I won't go by that. There's always complainers in the bunch. But we had great service from this crew.

ATTN: SKETCHERS HQ/DISTRICT MANAGER!!…read more I will also send a formal letter to corporate. I've had friendlier interactions with parking meters. I didn't walk into Sketchers expecting some white glove service, but my experience is definitely worth sharing. I approached the sales associate needing a size check. I smiled and said "Hi". No eye contact or any acknowledgment was shown. Perhaps, she didn't hear me, I thought. So I kindly asked, "can you help me find size 8 in this?" Still no eye contact. No words. She grabs the shoe out of my hand, and stomps her way over pissy & annoyed - I followed. She searched through the boxes, grabs a box and hands it over rushing to walk away. Still not a single word, but I thanked her anyway (because some of us were raised right). Surprise! Wrong shoes. At that point, I became the employee--checking boxes, searching aisles. Guess what? I found the right size and the correct pair faster than she found the will to speak. By the time I got to the register, I was done. I didn't say a word. Neither did she. I'm attaching the receipt with timestamp and associate number because I genuinely want someone at Skechers HQ to take this seriously. Now look, I don't expect every retail employee to throw me a party, but is a "hello" too much to ask? A "can I help you?" A nod? Human decency? Worst of all? I watched the same associate treat the customer before me like an actual human being. Different race. Different vibe. And I really don't want to play the race card, but it was a stark difference I couldn't help but notice. Skechers, if this person is a manager, I urge you to reconsider her qualifications. If she's not, please train her like it's Day 1 at Customer Service 101. We all have bad days. But when bad days become the standard, it's time to clean house.

I'm not a big fan of single-brand "concept" stores. They tend to be characterless and uninviting…read more This was no exception. I walked in. The salesperson was finishing up with another customer. I was then promptly ignored as other customers walked in the door and he started talking to them (despite the fact that I was standing right in front of the salesperson). I was actually interested in getting a new floor pump. I was waiting for the sales guy to stop even for just as second to say, "are you doing okay?", but nope. I guess I didn't rate for whatever reason. Perceived fitness level, income....? I checked out the floor pumps. They didn't seem to be particularly well made, although the Dual Charger gets good reviews online. No reaction from the sales person as he dealt with other people and ignored me. I heard guys in the back, service area, talking, talking, talking. Did the one sales guy holler to the back and get someone to come out since he apparently can only deal with one customer at a time? Nope. I started to make my way out but stopped to look at the shoes that had clearance signage, but couldn't actually get at them because they were blocked by multiples bikes still in boxes shoved up against the shoe display. One more chance for anyone in the store to try to sell me something. I didn't even get a "thanks for stopping in". This is a real shame. A Trek was the first "real" bike I bought with my own money as a teenager. I have fond memories of Trek. I'm just getting back into cycling again. I actually have money to spend at this stage of my life. The single most important thing you can do in retail is acknowledge and greet the customer. And as the saying goes, you only have one chance to make a first impression. I bought a pump elsewhere, as well as some jerseys and shorts. (Full disclosure: if I seem a little harsh, I worked in bicycle and outdoor retail for 10 years, as a tech, service manager and store manager. I used to be quite passionate about cycling, hence I have opinions.)

I called today because I was gifted an older Trek road bike that I got serviced somewhere else. I…read morehad called previously because I was unsure on where the serial number was located. As I shared the serial number over the phone, the staff person was not able to locate it in the computer. The rationale was that if the bike fell between a timeframe of specific years there was no record. The associate appeared helpful and listed the colors of the bikes by year and suggested I go on eBay or another site I don't recall to look up the bike. Now, there's nothing wrong with the over the phone service and the staff seemed like they did their job. Having worked in customer service and sales, I've had associates take down my name and number, do some research, and locate the a skew and model. I've also had associates ask me if there was anything they could do to help further make the customer experience stand out? This could be, come in the shop. I can talk to you about the warranty to see if anything is covered, or feel free and send me pics via email to send to corporate. The funny thing is, recycled cycles pulled up the picture of the bike, eyeballed the year and gave me price of the worth in 5 minutes. Even though they didn't work for Trek they knew their bikes. As a potential Trek customer, I hope that staff are trained to know about the history of the products they are selling and not just the latest models. I hope this can be a learning opportunity at Trek to please try a little harder as this experience needs a tune up.
