Set up an appointment earlier this week to have exhaust work done in my car - once I brought the car in for the 'scheduled' appointment, I was asked to wait until the car ahead of me was being finished up (understandable). After waiting 30 minutes, I was asked what kind of work needed to be done. I explained (again) that I needed full exhaust work (yada yada yada)...long story short, I was told they wouldn't have time to work on my car today. Pro exhaust is a great shop and has worked on many of my cars. Rob does great work at a very fair price. Sometimes they can get busy and things take a bit longer (I guess that is what happens when you rock!) but they always do a good job. I do not know why people are on here complaining, but when we were not happy with how loud one of our cars was, he made it right (Swapped out mufflers) and only charged the difference in mufflers. My first interaction with exhaust shop was to discuss putting on a catback exhaust for my 1991 mustang gt a few weeks before I had them do the work on my car. I talked to Brady about the best course of action to get it done. Brady was very knowledgeable and decided that it would be best to bring them a kit for my car so I could save on cost of them having to order everything which was a bonus. When I finally brought my car to them they had my car buttoned up within 3 hours after adjusting the flow master kit that was for an lx with minor adjustments to get it to fit in my car so I could actually get to see my tailpipes instead of gt turn downs with no visual appeal. They did amazing work and kept my exhaust centered on both sides and the tips in the correct orientation. The welds looked amazing and the sound is great. I had them also install new hangers and a smog pump inlet tube to my h pipe. They readjusted my h pipe so it didn't sag and got rid of my rusted out old cat back. They went above and beyond with the work on my car and the exhaust they put on my dads mustang a few years prior. If you need an exhaust put on your car then you should come to these guys because they do amazing work. I want to thank the two guys that did the work on my car for the excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship. I also want to thank rob the owner for all the assuring me that I was in good hands and that they back all the work they do. I want to thank brady for the advise. My dad came here to have my muffler changed. Apparently the owner told my dad the wait would be 1 hour and then proceeded to prioritize other cars that came in after him. The wait ended up being a whole 5 hours. He had his entire evening wasted due to the false promise. At the end my dad complained about paying the full bill and got a discount, he is satisfied but i am not. I still feel it is necessary to inform yelpers about this unacceptable experience. read more

Well all I can say is i didn't get anything done on my emission, first they told me my car needs a new cat which cost me $300 to replace and it should be all good and I made sure of it too by asking him and he said yeah. But didn't work and took it back and now they then told me to replace my o2 sensor, which I did and found out later that I had to replace the other cat because it's a California emission. Which they never call me back about it. Didn't had a lot of money to fix it, should of got the waiver for $150 instead of this useless work. It's a good shop but not for emission problems. read more

These guys are as unprofessional as it gets. I've dealt with Pro Exhaust on multiple occasions and they NEVER do what they say they will. They take their sweet time and repeatedly put other customers in front of you even while you're already waiting! They don't answer phone calls. They don't honor appointments. I had a 2pm appointment to have an exhaust cut and welded to fit my car. Had to wait for 2 hours after my appointment. At the end of it I got a receipt but no invoice stating the work that was done. Cost $198 for a cut weld and install. Little bit over priced if you ask me. Will not be going back read more

I wanted a custom exhaust for my Tundra. Rob told me I'd love what he put on or he'd replace it. EVERYONE says that, but they rarely mean it. You get the "well, we had to special order those mufflers and weld them on and now I'm going to be stuck with them" or "To swap them out would cost us X amount of extra $$$". I had to work Tuesday, so I sent my son down to see Rob and have the work done. When I got home, I crawled under the truck and was EXTREMELY impressed with the work they had done. The bends were perfect, the welds were top notch and the whole exhaust was very stable. However, the sound was MUCH tamer than what I was looking for. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and drove it to work the next day, after which, I still didn't love it. I figured I was going to be stuck with it, OR worse, have to fork a lot more $$$ to get the sound I was looking for. I called Rob, we talked about my options and he told me he'd take care of it. I brought it back today and WOW, am I impressed. Again, the welds look perfect. The sound is AMAZING and Rob didn't ask me for another dime. He even told me to drive it for a few days and if I wasn't completely happy, to call him back and he'd explore other options. That is was EXCELLENT businesses do. They take care of you and if you aren't 100% satisfied they FIX IT. For as long as Rob and Pro Exhaust are around, he now has a customer for life. Rob and his team saved my ass yesterday as the dealership wanted $2600 to replace a clogged catalytic converter, he and his team confirmed it was indeed clogged through a series of tests and replaced it the same day for a fraction of the price. He even stayed late so I could come back and pick up the car in the evening. I recommend this shop to anybody who has a check engine light, car running like crap, or barely running like mine was. Rob seems to genuinely care about getting cars back on the road and gives honest opinions like what to look out for in the future and what preventative maintenance to perform. They didn't try to highball me with price.. All the options would have worked fine but I decided to have a new exhaust system install with new mufflers. It sounds great and at a reasonable price. Stay away from this place. Just. Stay. Away. My car was rear ended and my exhaust was bent during the collision and the exhaust tips would need replacing. Auburn Chevrolet outsourced the exhaust work to Pro Exhaust. Upon getting the car back, a loud "banging" was present. And was amplified when a passenger was in the vehicle. Took the car back to Auburn Chevrolet, they then passed the buck to Pro Exhaust, who then passed the buck back to me saying "the muffler was rusted out". Which came to my surprise as the exhaust and muffler was replaced about 4 years prior, and none of this banging was present before or after the collision. It only started once the vehicle was returned to me. They wouldn't budge after they gave the improper diagnosis of a "rusted muffler". Auburn Chevrolet, naturally, sided with Pro Exhaust. So, I took the car to a 2nd and 3rd exhaust shop for a diagnosis on the "banging". Both shops put it on a lift, and in 30 seconds found the culprit, and it wasn't a "rusted out muffler". When Pro-Exhaust straightened my exhaust they did a rather sloppy job and it resulted in my exhaust pipe pressing against the passenger floor board. So, when idling or under acceleration, the exhaust constantly banged on the floor board. I promptly called the insurance adjuster and they had Pro-Exhaust fix the problem. I've read other reviews on Pro-Exhaust and it seems they don't own up to their work nor their mistakes. The fact that they gave me a dismissive excuse that was frankly bull***t, and how quickly the other shops diagnosed the issue they caused, it speaks volumes about how poor and sloppy their workmanship is. Not to mention knowledge. So either they truly couldn't diagnose what problem they caused, or they knew and just thought I'd give up by denying they did anything wrong. And that says a lot about their honesty and integrity as a business (more so, lack of). And to top it off, they didn't even apologize for making me have to waste a couple hours and a couple headaches fighting to hold them accountable for their lackluster work. Avoid Pro Exhaust when a great shop like Auburn Muffler is just down the road. read more

I went in to get my exhaust changed out for a new cat back Magnaflow system, and couldn't be happier with how it turned out! I told him right away that I was on a time crunch, and that if he couldn't get it done in the amount of time I had I could come back later, and they told me it wouldn't be a problem and got right to work. I showed the guy a video I found of the sound I wanted (European - deep and sporty bmw/vw), and he said he knew exactly what to do to achieve that sound for me. After the work was done and they turned that key, I got all giggly inside (and still am haha!) - it sounds amazing and is exactly what I asked for. Some of the Pros: - Quick installation - The guys were friendly and seemed happy to be working there (happy employee's are always a good sign) - Price was pretty much on par with most other shops in the area, maybe a little more, but Pro Exhaust got it done quicker. - Got to watch the installation in progress, which you don't normally get to do Some of the Cons: - Shop guys were inundated with calls and visitors (some for business, others not), and so they were easily moved from working to not working. I hate to call this a con, because most shops that I've been to don't allow you to watch, and if I hadn't been able to watch I wouldn't have seen any of this really anyways. I know when I'm at work I get visitor's and get distracted pretty easily as well, and like me, they get the job done and done right in the same time frame, so it isn't like they were slacking and the service was degraded from there. Just something I wanted to point out to those who get easily irritated by that type of work behavior, so that you are amply prepared when you go. This is by no means a way to tell anyone not to go to this shop though, I just hate negative reviews for reasons that don't really play a part on the overall quality just because they hated one piece to the puzzle. - Took them a while to get going on my car, just to get it up on the lift, but once they got it up there all was well. Con's were really pretty minor, and didn't affect the cost or the quality of the work. The only thing they affected was how long I was there, which wasn't too big a deal because in the end, it was well worth the wait (not to mention it would have been double that time just about anywhere else). I've read all the reviews for this place, even the filtered, and I would not recommend staying away from this place as Naveed has suggested. Shit will happen no matter where you go. This shop has been in business for more than 13 years, and if they were as horrible as Naveed said, they wouldn't have been in business that long. I wanted to wait few days before I write this review. After installation, driving back to work, I got this nagging feeling this people ripe me off. I probably ended up cheaper muffler with smaller pipe, probably paid $200-$300 more than other place and probably been better off to taking car to other place. I called them after seeing really review, and received really good quote over the phone. I was originally looking for Borla muffler with 3 inches pipes cat-back replaced, initially estimate $450 to $650. Sound good right, so called them and gave additional details about the car, and he called me back got $500 to $800 max. Somehow, I ended up magnaflow with 2.5 pipes and much higher installation cost. But, car definitely drives better, feels like I have more horsepower and torque. But, magnaflow muffler sound awful around 30 MPH to 50 MPH . I will probably replace that muffler with something else, take my car to other people. read more

Rob and the guys have all done excellent work on all my cars and my dads as well. I had a bad set up on my 1987 BMW 535i and wasn't satisfied. Took it too rob and he gave me a few options regarding sound, loudness, power gain, and cost. The end result was more than I could've asked for and at a price I could agree on. I also took my little rainy day drifter (1981 Corolla) and asked for a drifter style exhaust set up and it's called drifter style due to how the fart can on the end is angled. I'm VERY meticulous about how I want my cars to look and the shop worked their magic and it came out awesome. He even cut me a deal for using a lightly used muffler! What Rob and these guys do here is part art and part science when it comes to making a good exhaust so I trust them fully with my cars and I send my friends here too. read more

I have been here 4 times not for different jobs but for the same job and they still fail. I waited to see how they fixed the recurrent issues they created to make this review. The first time it was a 4 hour wait to just take a look at the car even though they said it would not be a long wait. Then they offered to put used parts on my high performance vehicle because they only had one muffler in stock. The second time was to install the ordered new parts they recommended to get rid of the drone. They installed the parts and salvaged my tips. The install was done very well but took 5 hours. In the end, instead of eliminating the drone it just moved it to a lower RPM and made it louder. Keep in mind this were parts that they said guaranteed to make the car quieter. The third time I came back so they could actually make the car quieter as was the intent of the first visit. I brought with me resonated tips and they installed resonators. I left home happy, the car was quieter. That was until one of the tips in the car just fell off. I had to come back a fourth time. I called them and left a message and never got a call back. I reordered the missing tip and called them as soon as I received it. I called them a second time, Rob said he had received the message from my previous call, which he neglected to return, and offered to buy a new tip and make an appointment next day at noon which was a Sunday (it's usually closed on Sundays). Things sounded promising! Things fell apart quickly. I arrived at 1215 and no Rob. His partner Dave had no idea there was an appointment but told me that they had ran out of soldering material on my previous appointment and that's why my tip had fell off. So instead of calling me and letting me know they just let me drive the car until something happened. I asked Dave to contact Rob and apparently Rob has no cell phone... In 2017. Dave ended up putting the tip and Rob never showed up to refund me, but at this point my time has become more valuable than the $40 bucks the tip cost. Other remarks: He only accepts cash. Receipts are not itemized. They make custom exhausts sytems with non-mandrel bends, so what's the point of getting a custom exhaust if you are adding restriction right of the bat. Let me start this off. I got screwed over and I'm pissed about this still to this day. I was quoted $2-$300 for almost straight pipped exhaust. When I got there it was a crap shoot had to come back a few times to even get in. Got there at 8am didn't leave till about 5-6pm because they took their merry time with it. For about 3 hours my car was not touched. They went out and grabbed gas and food and sat around for about 90 minutes the rest was working on other cars. When fitting the new exhaust they bent the exhaust down for some reason on a flat bottom car. So rather than fixing it they cut part of my mid hanger off so they didn't have to fix their f-up. So after all that time and waiting around I got the bill for $800. Where did the other $5-$600 the exhaust I presume from labor including the 3 hours of doing nothing. One of the welds broke and I had to get it welded over again. That again took 2 hours to do for a stupid tiny metal weld. Place is highly inefficient and shotty quality. Save your time, frustration, effort and most importantly money. I could have paid slightly more for professional work where they know how to actually weld a complete circle where it doesn't have a leak. Will never go here for anything or suggest it to anyone ever. read more

I took my car in for what was supposed to be simple manifold change. Well I got the car back late,afterhours around 1am due to my work schedule. I drove it home parked it for the night went to bed woke up around 8 am to drive to work. While on my way to.work the car started to act funny, so I suddenly pull over to the side of the road come to check I'm missing a ton of oil, me and the guy I carpool with look at the oil dip stick and it was clean, I rushed to get the quart of oil I had in the trunk and poured the entire quart in the car to get it to minimum. Well I guess I was to late 15 mins later motor starts to knock heavily. Come to find out after talking to the tech at pro exhaust oil was spilt? And they were more then aware yet somehow simply forgot???? Could be the fact they are stoned everyday ? Or just plain carelessness what ever the reason this is pure negligence.
