I needed to get a filling fixed but the dentist I normally go to was booked and pretty far away. So I decided it was time to find a dentist closer to our new home. I looked on Yelp for a list of dentists and began calling or emailing them to see who accepted my insurance and who had available appointments on the week I needed to go. When I called Pro Dental, I talked to receptionist Tiffany and was impressed by how outgoing, friendly and knowledgeable she was. I was able to get all my questions answered and book an appointment on the exact day and time that I was looking for. The day of, I was dreading the appointment. It's bad enough to have to get a filling fixed, but to go to a new dentist whom you've never met before, and have him work on your teeth....not really something I was looking forward to. Parked my car in a lot that had plenty of parking, took a deep breath and walked in. The two receptionists greeted me and were very friendly. (We even chatted about how sad we were that Bambu next door had closed, etc). I was then escorted inside by Amber, the dental assistant. Nice office, cute Finding Nemo decor on walls. Amber was also very friendly and put me at ease with her cheerful personality. We took some x-rays of the filling and soon after, I met the dentist, Dr. Nguyen, who was very professional and knowledgeable. He explained to me what he saw in the x-rays and soon he got to work. I joked with Amber, "I should have brought headphones to listen to music!" and she told me that she could play a movie for me to watch while I had my filling fixed. Nice! She pulled out a list of movies and they were great! Tons of Disney movies, action, comedy, etc. She even said they just recently got the new Star Wars movie too. I figured I'd better choose something that wouldn't get me too nervous or excited while my mouth was hanging open for the procedure. I chose a happy movie "FROZEN" (gotta love Olaf) and that definitely helped with putting my mind at ease while the dentist was drilling away and fixing the messed-up filling. He often asked if everything was ok, checking my comfort, and making sure I wasn't in any discomfort or pain. His hands were steady (unlike some dentists I've been to!) and you could tell he was experienced and good at his profession. I found out that Dr. Tran (?), the other dentist at this location is Dr. Nguyen's wife and she works on children. I asked about a dental hygienist, and was told that Dr. Nguyen does all the cleanings himself. Interesting. When Dr. Nguyen was done fixing my filling, I was pretty amazed at how everything went so smoothly and rather painlessly. I was all nervous for nothing! I don't usually write reviews for dentists but felt I should for this one. I'm so glad I found Pro Dental and would highly recommend them to my friends and family. I'm hoping to convince my husband to go here for his check-ups and cleaning instead of always heading to SF to see his dentist. We'll see. I would like to thank Dr. Kieth Nguyen for continuing to take such good care of my dental needs. This morning I had an implant procedure. To be honest, I was a little nervous and anxious. Prior to the procedure, he did an amazing job of breaking down what was entailed, constantly reassuring me how routine this has become. He used state of the art technology to make the procedure 100% accurate, painless, and with minimum anxiety! I think more people would have this done, who need it, if they only knew that it would go down this way. Not to front, I'm sore after, and have been prescribed what i need to reduce the post procedure pain. Once the procedure was done, the doctor walked me over to the before and after x-rays and educated me what he'd done, and how good it looked. I'm blown away at his bedside manner. As far as the logistics, Tiffany, their office manager / insurance guru, made that process seamless as well. Tracy Cremers & Gracey, go to ProDental as well. We're all raving fans. I can't recommend Drs. Nguyen and Tran highly enough. I live in Sacramento, but the trip out to Rocklin every six months for my check up and cleaning is well worth the drive. During my initial foray into finding a local dentist, I stumbled upon a different practice closer to my home. After an initial appointment, I was told that I needed a "deep cleaning" (which is nothing short of a mild surgical procedure, with a price tag to match!) Dr. Nguyen quickly cleared this up, and explained that I did NOT need a deep cleaning based on my current state of gum health. Dr. Nguyen's gentle, friendly, and compassionate demeanor should be an inspiration to healthcare providers everywhere. The front desk staff and hygienist are excellent. Five stars! read more

Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Tran are the best dentists in town. Dr. Nguyen treats my husband and I and Dr. Tran specializes in pediatric dentistry. My kids love Dr. Tran and actually look forward to going to the dentist! Dr. Tran makes them feel very comfortable and is always gentle with my kids. I have seen her work with even the most hesitant/nervous child with no problems. Dr. Nguyen always gives you an honest opinion about what treatment you need and options you have. He's also very gentle when he works on your teeth and he's easy to talk to. One time I fell and broke my jaw and cracked a tooth... my very last tooth in the very back of my mouth. I was in so much pain due to my broken jaw and could only open my mouth one inch. ONE INCH! But Dr. Nguyen was a miracle worker and was able to get into my mouth and work on my cracked back tooth with no problems. Their staff in the office are always friendly and upbeat. After reading all the reviews, I brought my toddler (2.5 years old) here for a check up. I was very impressed with the office. Everyone was extremely nice and polite. There was a room filled with toys, which helped distract my daughter from being nervous. Dr. Tran did a great job with my toddler. She didn't cry at all. Not going to lie, she was nervous, but Dr. Tran was very gentle and talked her through the process. This was my daughter's second time to the dentist. Our first visit was at Rocklin Pediatric Dentistry--very kid-friendly office. I loved that place too! We started looking for another dentist because of the price they charged for a basic check up. We don't have dental insurance, and it costs 3x the price of Pro Dental does. Both places provided great services, but I prefer Pro Dental Group because of their staff, the office layout (it's not cramped; you don't see the other patients), and the prices. This is the best dental office in the Sacramento-Roseville area. I hate dentists, but Dr. Nguyen is really something else! Supremely honest and very genuinely caring. He really takes the time to do the job carefully and I've never known any other dentist who really truly cared for his patients like Dr. Nguyen does. The office itself is state of the art. Dr. Nguyen and his staff are always fast and thorough. Laying down in the chair with someone looking in your mouth makes some people self conscious, but the staff are so friendly and kind it's more relaxing instead (plus I noticed they have massage chairs now). With other dentists, I noticed after a cleaning my face is wet and covered from all that gunk flying out your mouth but Dr. Nguyen and his staff are very clean and gentle during cleanings and even fillings, I barely feel a thing. Overall pro dental is a very professional, clean and friendly environment. I recommend them for the whole family. read more

My kids 6, 4, and 2 year olds went to Dr. Tran at Pro Dental yesterday and loved the whole experience. They loved the toys, they love the staff, and they loved Dr. Tran. I had contacted a dentist closer to me and although they were friendly, they were not as personable as Dr. Nguyen and his staff and they were quite a bit more expensive. I had to have a broken tooth removed and other dental work and I hate needles and going to the dentist in general. The novocaine was almost totally painless and during the procedure, Dr. Nguyen was gentle and very caring about my comfort. When I was seated in the chair and asked if I wanted the massager turned on, I knew I was in the right place. It was pretty awesome. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and so easy to talk to. According to him it is a nice place and he enjoyed the technique the dentist use for cleaning and most of all, the dentist is the one who cleaned his teeth and not a dental hygienist, which is a good thing, I dont know. I looked at how much positive reviews this place has, and usually i dont believe all positive reviews specially the ones less then 10. After making me wait over an hour, they gave me a check-up and took x-rays. Then I was informed that one of my teeth needed a root canal IMMEDIATELY, as failure to do so would result in the loss of the tooth. I was also told that I needed a "deep" plaque cleaning or I would face "serious" gum disease, although I brush and floss regularly and the condition of my gums hadn't changed in years. That was almost two years ago, and the tooth in question is doing fine (as are the gums). When I called recently to make an appointment for a check-up, I was immediately reminded of the need for a deep cleaning, which, after insurance paid its share, would cost me $189. This one is close to where I'm currently living so I decided to try it out. Dr. Keith Nguyen was professional and very friendly. He made me feel comfortable (I hate the dentist). He was gentle during the anesthesia and I hardly felt any pain. My old dentist caused a lot of pain every time I went so it's great that I found someone that makes me not afraid to go to my annual check up. Dr. Nguyen and his staff will make you feel so relaxed and comfortable with their gently massaging chairs and selection of dvds to watch during your visit.
