I came in here because of a previous review where their hair was "butchered". I was having the same experience from a local shop within eyesight. As I walked out of that shop, unhappy, I saw this place and grabbed the phone number. When I called the new owner, Jessy/ Jessica, was super sweet and easy to make an appointment with. A few weeks later, I was in her chair hoping for a savior. She understood a man's "permanent" haircut, as she and her Lubbock friends called it. It was the worst haircut ive ever had. Terry fixed it and colored it. It's absolutely beautiful and I'm in love with the cut and color. It's perfect. I will be going back again! Or someone recommends a salon that is too expensive and set up for the ladies. Well I would highly recommend Vintage86 barber in Decatur! My son and myself go to Melissa at Vintage86 and we have been extremely happy. Her hours are flexible, she is down to earth and her service is outstanding. The cost is very reasonable and great value for the cut. Melissa listens to our requests makes suggestions and makes sure we are happy before we leave. She is funny and it's a great environment. Her scheduling system sets up future dates and you get reminders two days out before your next haircut. She is a licensed barber and does an excellent neck shave. So if you are looking for a new barber for the guys in your family I would recommend Vintage86 and Melissa.
