Using this company has been a nightmare. One small bathroom leak, and over a year later they are still delaying finishing the job. One excuse and cancellation after another. 13 months later!!!!! We still can't do laundry!!!! There were days we took off from work, only to have NO ONE SHOW UP. We have constantly been told the electrician is not available, the plumber is busy all month etc. one small bathroom. Over a year of incompetent, bumbling empty promises. We just got another update that they are postponing the finishing of the project for another 3 weeks, and won't be able to make it Monday as scheduled. Seriously? Nightmare of unprofessional, unorganized mediocre work. I would never consider them for anything or recommend them whatsoever on the future. Just done. read more

This is my first time needing restoration services so I don't have a basis for comparison. Our property manager recommended these guys for the water damage we suffered from the unit upstairs. Pros: 1) Have all the subcontractors available. 2) Nice and professional staff. 3) Did a good job with restoration - the replaced trim and baseboards looked better than the original ones. Cons: 1) Timing - despite initially saying they weren't busy, they took a few days to come out and assess the damage. Also took another few weeks to get to the demolition, by which time they said the water damage had already dried itself out. Then it took about another 1.5 months for restoration, which was a bit frustrating since we had to live with holes in our dry wall and our furniture misplaced for several weeks. Cracks from the demolition continued to get bigger as time went on. 2) One of their subcontractors took a couple weeks to reach out to us despite us reminding them frequently. We ended up finding our own electrician who fixed our issue before their subcontractor even called us. 3) Pricing - again I don't have a basis for comparison, but I felt we were charged higher than necessary. At the first assessment, they came in and were very clear that this job was pretty small for them, so the price (and the amount of time taken to complete this job as I said above) seemed disproportionate to the amount of work needed. They did return a small amount of money for work they didn't end up needing to do. read more

I am shocked at the first review of Pro-Care, none of what Kristofer F. has mentioned in his very brief review is true for me. Our insurance company recommended Pro-Care to complete water damage from a leaking pipe in our kitchen. Pro-Care, proactively reached out to me to schedule an assessment of the damage. He was prompt, friendly, transparent and very helpful with the questions I had prior to the work. The front office staff, although efficient with words, are capable and friendly if you require to speak with them more beyond being informed about dates and times. I had to call and reschedule work and it was done without a problem. The workers got here EXACTLY on time both days (8am SHARP). They were self sufficient, incredibly friendly, supremely professional, and neat beyond neat. The work was planned to take two days and it took two days, no adjustments. The first day of the work was definitely messy: breaking down walls and ceiling, which is dusty, debris filled and unglamorous. Prior to this work they hung tarps up and covered EVERYTHING (I mean e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g). By the time they were done on day 1 the tarps were down, all the drop cloths and other reusable fabrics were neatly folded and stacked off to the side of the kitchen, along with the paints that were going to be used the next day. I have never seen such care and attention to what is ultimately a rather simple job (I must assume this job is relatively easy for a company like Pro-Care). There was not a LICK of dust, dirt, debris or anything. You would not have known that there had been anyone working in our kitchen save for the patched wall that was drying (and looking perfect, by the way). If EVER there is need for work to be done on our house that falls into the scope of Pro-Care, we will use them. No question. No doubt. Definitely DO NOT stay away from this place. They are top notch. read more

This is the worst experience with a contractor I have ever had. We had some water damage and our insurance used this company to do the restoration. Their sub contractors were late almost every day, and their front office personnel were rude and uncooperative. Stay away from this place. read more

I used Pro-Care to fix some wall and ceiling work in my bedroom which I needed done due to the ice damage we had from this last winter. My insurance had provided them as one of the vendors we could use. It took a while to get an appointment b/c there was SO much damage from this past winter. But now that they got here they did a good fast job. They had to repair the ceiling and wall and then repaint all of the walls and resurface the ceiling. They got here shortly after 8:30 and they were gone right after 2pm. read more

Pros: responded quickly and arrived as planned to do the cleanup Cons: 1) At the time of the water damage, I had not been able to talk with my insurance agent. It turned out that the pricing Pro-Care gave me was inflated against what they would have quoted for an insurance claim. Later on, I had to go back and forth with the adjuster on the pricing. 2) I was surprised they charged me for travel time to/from my home, this was not communicated in advance. Also the worker quoted me one thing for rubish removal and then the company charged me 3x more on my invoice. I had to discuss both items with the office. 3) they left several industrial fans/dehumifidiers for drying out the basement but did not set a timeline in advance to pick up the equipment. Seems they left the equipment 1-2 days too long and of course charged for it. I would not use them again. read more

I first used Pro-Care's services several years ago to address storm damage, at my insurance company's suggestion (Pro-Care was on their Approved Providers list). I was completely satisfied with the work. Recently I contacted Pro-Care again for home maintenance/repairs (not an insurance-related issue). I received the same excellent attention: an estimator came when promised, I received a written quote. The work was scheduled to my convenience; the workmen were careful, competent, and polite. I am very pleased with the results. I recommend Pro-Care both for ease of communication and for the quality of their work. Other contractors may quote you a cheaper rate, but for me the reliability Pro-Care has demonstrated is worth what may be a few extra $. read more

We had condensation from our HVAC system create a major leak through the ceiling in our home while we were away travelling. When we saw the problem the leak had damaged walls and buckled the hardwood floors. Pro-Care came in quickly (within 2 hours of our call) and helped us to stop the ongoing damage, and to "dry up" the hall and affected room. Nearly simultaneously a proposal was sent to us/our insurer's underwriter for approval. Pro-care was quick, thorough and when the owner reviewed the project, he made additional approved requests to the underwriter to be sure that the job was done to maximize our satisfaction. It was one of the best construction related experiences I have had ever. read more

AVOID THESE GUYS AT ALL COSTS. Our apartment building has had repeated water damage so they've called these guys in multiple times. The first time they locked our pet in a room all day with industrial de-humidifiers, no food, water, or place to for our pet to relieve themselves. You can imagine our horror coming home from work not knowing if our family pet was killed thanks to Pro-Care. Additionally every time they've come to make repairs for the water damage they are very careless with our belongings and toss them wherever they see fit. It's very frustrating to come home after a long day of work to find all your clothes tossed about and your apartment looking upside down. Unfortunately we do not have the luxury of taking weeks off of work to monitor these guys every time they come to our apartment (yes it can take over a week for these guys to "fix" something as simple as a closet carpet). Moral of the story: If you love people throwing your belongings everywhere, and prefer to have your living space flipped upside for days or weeks at a time, these guys are for you. I very highly recommend Pro-Care! It was by far the best experience I have had with a contractor. I hired Pro-Care to renovate two bathrooms. From the first phone call setting up an estimate visit, to the final tile installation my experience was fantastic! Each person I was in contact with was polite, professional and very knowledgable. I had tub and shower surrounds removed and new tub and tile installed. The floors were retiled, the vanities and toilets replaced and the rooms painted. They are BEAUTIFUL! The work far exceeded my expectations. Fabio was a true artist with his tiling expertise. He took extra time to make sure the design was correct and aesthetically pleasing before beginning. The entire reno was completed in a timely fashion and very reasonably. The Pro-Care employees were easy to work with and VERY neat in their work. It was a great pleasure working with this company and I will use them again and again. I was 110% satisfied. read more
