I…read moredislike how they will drop routs randomly and sometimes wait at a stop for no apparent reason for up to 15 minutes at times, it is made worse when it is close to the top of the hour and everyone on there is trying to get to class, but the driver just sits at the bus stop. I know they do this to keep the routs spaced evenly, but they should do this during the half-hours only, since this practice has made me, and everyone else on that bus late for class before. Living out in Apartment Land, it is nice that I can take either Express 1, or Express 2 to get to campus/home, or alternatively North or South at night/on the weekends. They need to make the bus tracking map on their website available in the smart phone markets.

If you have…read morelived in this area, then you take the rolling Palouse hills for granted and think this is not scenic at all. My only real complaint is the two-lane highway, which at times can be very dangerous, but generally there is no one else out here on the road with me except the occasional deer or farm vehicle. Caution: don't drive this road when WSU has a game or graduation. The two-lane road becomes the Indy 500.

Bummer because we planned to roll in after 5:00 and had engagements in the daytime. They got our reservation dates wrong in the system (despite an email confirming correct dates). They told us they would be gone when we arrived - which isn't unusual. But they said they would text us the site number that morning. We never got the text and tried calling several times with no answer. We abandoned plans and stayed at the State Park in Lewiston.

It is an old campground, though. But it's right smack in the middle of town, and minutes from anywhere you are heading. There is a tent area, and let's just say that those folks were probably NOT on a groovy walking tour of the Palouse, wink wink. I did consider carrying some hollow-point insurance on this trip, but saw it was going to be a full park, with parents dropping off their college kiddos at WSU, so thought that little extra measure was unnecessary this time. Considering there are no brick & mortar bathroom/shower facilities, the $35-night fee is pretty reasonable. But there is a large pee-atorium for folks like us that don't hook up our sewer line. Wifi wasn't great, but you can check weather/email/basics, and I always appreciate that. We'd have no problem staying here, again...
