Pro bike saved my weekend! My husband and I were traveling to Oklahoma from Texas and brought our bikes with us to have some riding time. When we arrived in OK my front through axel was completely off and lost. We immediately called around to bike shops to try and fix the problem but no one really wanted to help or they couldn't help. We got recommended Pro Bike by the Trek bike shop so I gave them a call and they helped over the phone tremendously! We drove to the shop and was greeted by John and he came to the rescue! John immediately started looking for the part and found it! He fixed it right on the spot and they even tuned up my bike! They saved our day! They were so friendly and so helpful I'm so glad we had that experience! John even gave us a huge map of trails that we could go ride and explained different areas that would be great scenic views. Saw great reviews so went in to get flat tires fixed. We were turned away with them saying they will not work on e-bikes they don't sell. No motor issues. We weren't looking for anything other than tire repair/tube replacement. Just an FYI in case you see the great reviews and have an e-bike. I'm sure they're a great shop. I recently bought a 1974 10 Speed Schwinn Varsity, it was in pretty good shape, however, I wanted to checked out. I found John & Andy at Pro Bike, so happy that I did. Like a bike shop used to be, personal service, knowledgeable of old school, attention to detail and just really good people! Went in to see if they could do a simple repair in my bike. They were very rude and refused to work on the bike and would not give me a reason. Really terrible customer service. Would check out Al's down the street instead, I walked in and they helped right away. Didn't even charge me for the work. read more

Honestly, it's been years since I've been here. But I'm sure the service is as good as ever. When I was a teenager, and this was my church, my refuge. John is the best. Even when I went off to college and then became a productive member of society. I still came back to Pro Bike and bought a bike (Trek 5000 OCLV) from John. And he even shipped it to me in Chicago. Went into this small, sustaining, and well-ran shop to find a couple bicycling solutions for my wife and myself. Our collective impression after the visit was very informative, ethical (we didn't get screwed over for the sake of an extra buck or thousand), personable, and even downright enjoyable! This store made it apparent that you are not required to spend thousands of dollars on a setup to have a very practical bicycling experience, whether it is for leisure, commuting, or racing! This place takes care of tune ups as long as you continue to own the bike you purchased, has plenty of extremely-qualified staff, while keeping the business small and manageable. This allows the staff to know many of their customers by name, and service them appropriately. It's nice during a consult that the employees are sensitive to a customers wants, needs, and even uncertainties. In my humble opinion, you would be hard-pressed to find another reasonably priced, friendly, and informative bicycle shop! I loved this small bike shop. Definitely the type of business I enjoy working with. John was great! Very informative and advised me on going with different models to save money! He really wants customers to get the best value. His employee on the other hand, was not so great. I'm kind of a bigger guy and when John went to lunch I had asked his employee his advise on the bike I was looking at. He looked me up and down and said "what are you wanting to do?" As I went to answer him, he cut me off and said "hey man, I have a lot to do. I'll be in the back." It was just a very discouraging experience. I was planning on buying that bike, but I just decided to leave and maybe I will go back another day and work with John. One of the reasons I visited this shop is because a lot of my friends recommended it and they had amazing reviews! Oh where to start. I am a beginner cyclist and have really been wanting a road bike to help me get back into shape before, during, and after my remaining semesters at the University of Oklahoma. I browsed Bikeone's website over 100 times just eyeing a couple bikes they had under $700. I wanted to use Bikeone as there is a location here in Norman, however, something kept telling me to drive all the way to NW EXPWY to just glance at what this shop had to offer, and boy can I tell you it was the best decision ever made! For the components on my bike, Bike one offered for a few hundred more. John at Pro bike is not only a reasonable guy, but he's also very friendly, and really talks to the customer. He knows what he's doing. His shop isn't the biggest, but why should it be? I walked out with a sweet Fuji sportif 1.3, and know that if I have any issues in the future, needing tune-up or truing, this will be the ONLY shop I step foot into again. We showed up at Lake Hefner with our family to ride, only to discover that the tube in our daughter's bike was bad and had deflated on the drive over. Called several bike shops, but as it was 6pm on Saturday, most were closed. Actually, ProBike was closed too, but they answered and asked what I needed. They told us to "come on over" and even loaned us a pump. Customer service like this is REALLY rare these days, and we were so very grateful for their kindness! OKC has some good shops, but this is the best in OKC by far. First of all, they are intentional about the products they sell and won't sell you something you don't need just to make a buck (unless you are really wanting it). Secondly, they are always friendly, attentive and their prices can't be beat. If you have something in mind you want which isn't in stock, they are happy to order it for you.
