Thin crispy pastry and very flavorful filling. Naan: fluffy and you can actually taste the fresh garlic. Saffron rice: great flavor and the saffron really comes through. The ghosht chili masala: amazing! Has a really good spicy kick. Enough to activate your sinuses but not lingering and burn your mouth. Please beware that the meat is on the bone and there are many small pieces of bone floating around. Use caution and chew carefully. This is my new favorite Indian restaurant.

Last week I went to Hyderabad House in Villa Park, since my earlier experiences were very good…read more However this time the Tea was OK, though did not like that it was sugar added, but the veggie pakora were disappointing - that quality has definitely degraded. The beef Haleem was OK, but they have decreased the quantity quite a bit. The chicken Paratha roll was average. They definitely need to improve their quality. The service is always good, makes you feel Like you are home. The place clean, good, but lacks the vibe. Overall, they need to gear up their food flavor and quality, soon.

We visited Hyderabad House and had their lunch specials. The restaurant was nearly empty but that's…read moreok as long as the food is fresh, and the food was incredibly fresh for us. However, my biggest complaint was that the rice was too spicy, they had chopped green chilies in it and I wish they hard warned us about that. I would have just ordered the paratha rolls if I knew the rice would be that spicy. The restaurant is decorated nicely and everything is so clean. I would like to come back for dinner when there's more of a vibe in the restaurant and it's full. There are many options now on Roosevelt Road and I hope this place stays as a nice sit down restaurant.

There was no way I was going to be able to find a way through. I was on the phone with support when I dipped into a gully so deep that the water splashed over my moon roof. The chatbot spoke again, "I understand that you are having difficulties with a drop-off. Please describe your situation so that I can get you to the right department?" Just then, the customer cancelled. Whew! I had spent over half an hour in the extreme weather just trying to access their street. An easy forty minutes before that driving from the restaurant... then the thirty on the phone with support while searching for high ground. The order was undeliverable. Long story short (I know...it's too late for that): 1. I made it home 2. The butter chicken is excellent

We came here for Mothers Day with our family, and we had a 2 year old toddler and an infant. They…read morewere able to get us seated within a few minutes, and had a high chair for our toddler. Within a couple minutes they provided a complimentary mango lassi for our toddler because he was on and off fussy, which was very kind of them! We ordered the following: - Hakka noodles with chicken - 4/5, noodles should be thicker imo - Chicken kadai - 5/5 great flavor - Rogan Josh - 5/5, probably my favorite in the burbs so far - Tandoori chicken - 5/5 great flavor - Chicken tikka - 5/5, in general not my favorite fish but my toddler was destroying these - Chicken kebab - 5/5, I think it was chicken but not positive. Either way one of my fav dishes in general - daal makhani - 4/5, tasted good but normally not a fan Most of the above came with the chefs dinner special, I forgot what it was called - but it cost $28 for 1 person and it was a good spread! Fed two people more like it. Nice decor and ambiance, I would recommend you eat here!

Visited this Bangladeshi restaurant yesterday with a group of friends for their special lunch. It…read morecame with kala bhuna, fried fish, eggplant, egg, salad, and bhuna khichuri. I'm a meat lover, so I planned to have just a bite of the fish and move on to the kala bhuna. But the fish was so good that I ended up eating the whole thing! Easily one of the best fried fish I've had. The restaurant is a bit cozy, but the food is absolutely worth it. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for authentic Bangladeshi food. A nice bonus is that it's next to the Masjid Jumu'ah parking lot, so I was able to pray Zuhr while waiting for the food.

Ordering…read moreover the phone was quick and easy, the staff was friendly when I picked up our food, and the restaurant itself looked clean and well kept. We ordered the Butter Chicken, Kadhai Chicken, Zeera Rice, Garlic Naan and Butter Naan. Both chicken dishes were boneless, which was a plus for us. The Butter Chicken was easily our favorite and something we'd 100% order again. It had a little kick to it, but it was a really enjoyable level of spice and the flavor was excellent. The rice that came with it was also very good. The Kadhai Chicken was good, but definitely several notches hotter than the Butter Chicken. We enjoyed trying it, but because of the heat level it probably wouldn't be something we'd order again. We also tried the Zeera Rice, which was good, although we both preferred the regular rice that came with the Butter Chicken. The breads were a little mixed for us. The Garlic Naan was soft and good, but VERY garlic-forward--so if you love garlic, you'll probably love it. The Butter Naan was a little tougher than we prefer. One other thing worth mentioning: they have a $14.99 weekday lunch-special menu (Monday-Friday, 11am-4pm) with several combos that we didn't see listed on their website. We grabbed a copy while we were there and will probably try one of those next time. Overall, a good first experience and we'll definitely be back. The Butter Chicken alone is worth another visit!

There are more choices…read morefor meat-eaters (lamb, beef) than there were under previous management, and fewer choices for vegetarians, although we still get a separate section on the menu, and the Sunday lunch buffet (til 3:30! how great is that?) is about half vegetarian and pretty well-labeled. We enjoyed the Sunday lunch buffet ($20). No samosa (fairly rare these days) but vegetarian options included samosa chat, pakora, a curried chickpea dish, one Indo-Chinese dish (noodles), rice, and your choice of naan or puri, with 5 different sauces, a chickpea pickle, gulab jamun or halva for dessert, plus water and chai tea. (Soft drinks and mango lassi are extra; $2 for lassi is a deal.) Can't comment on the meat, but they had butter chicken and one or two other things. Bread is not well-suited to buffets (puri is best warm; naan tends to get tough on a steam table) but everything was tasty and while one more curried vegetable dish would have been nice, I didn't feel deprived. Service was fairly minimal (it's a buffet) but pleasant: we were asked if we needed help or drinks. The inside is minimal but clean with some updates since the new owners took over: different art / light fixtures; chairs and tables instead of booths. It wasn't crowded. I might do the buffet again and will probably come for dinner some time when I want saffron rice and more dinner options (but not potatoes or cauliflower, which don't appear to feature on the menu).
