This Paris-themed high tea with its old fashion suitcases and film reels will appeal to all Francophiles but it's going to burn a pretty hole in your wallet and probably one in your stomach too. If you're not too queasy thinking about the $45 expense, then unclasp the vintage suitcase and indulge in a selection of macaroons, lemon meringue tarts, choux pastry, scones and ribbon sandwiches to name a few delicious delights.
I'm a huge buffet fan so I was a little disappointed that the suitcases weren't refillable but honestly by the time I emptied my case, I couldn't have fitted another bite.
Located in Club Sofitel on the 30th floor, bring along a camera to capture the amazing views of Brisbane City. If you feel the urge to dress up to fit in with the opulent surroundings, I would recommend a 'fat dress' - an elegant yet loose baby doll style dress so adept at hiding food babies.
