That time due to everything going on in the world with minimal travel we enjoyed a cheap rate for an entire weekend with probably the best view offered for the hotel of TD Garden as well as the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge. Which I know it's just a bridge but it was a nice sight for an in-city view. This most recent stay was due to a concert at TD Garden my wife and I were in town for. Which I will say if you are looking for a place to stay for an event at TD Garden, good luck finding a better option than here! Check in staff and valet workers were friendly and greeted us with a smile. Rates were very reasonable for end of summer and with a concert so close. Room was smaller this stay around and our view was more of just a building with a small glance of TD Garden if you looked to the side. Overall a very clean room and still a good amount of space. Can not think of any complaints for our stay and would stay here again. They offer valet parking and anytime we needed the car it was quick to get it back. Inside the lobby/first floor they have plenty of seating and what they dub "The Bistro" that offers breakfast, dinner, and full bar and I believe Starbucks drinks too. Location wise it is quite ideal, obviously if your activities/work is in this area of Boston. Besides TD Garden it is also close to North station along with plenty of food and drink options. Personally for a morning coffee or matcha I say check out Blank Street Coffee, then food wise I would say take a quick walk to the North End or closer try Tavern In The Square. Definitely a hotel worth looking into while visiting Boston!

After a kinda meh first experience last year for Providence Restaurant Week, we decided to give it another try. And we were glad we did! It was a Friday night & pretty busy for 5:30pm. I'm glad I made a reservation! Our server, Ayden, made the whole experience very special! He was personable, available & fun to chat with as he is also a semi-professional wrestler. We were there to try the nachos as they looked delicious when other diners ordered them. WOW! It is a HUGE platter of chips topped with shredded monterey jack, homemade black bean corn salsa, beer cheese queso & a drizzle of guacamole & sour cream. I asked for extra queso because I like everything to be smothered & that it was! Two people could easily make a meal of this platter alone. And we didn't even add any protein (pulled pork, grilled or crispy chicken option)! Not knowing the size of the nachos, we wanted to try something else. I asked Ayden: quesadilla or Nashville naan. He said for former but we felt that we were already doing a Tex-Mex inspired dish so we opted for the latter. On top of naan, crispy chicken with mozzarella, smoked bacon, scallions & house-infused hot honey drizzle. A good amount of toppings & the naan was delightfully chewy. I thought it was going to be Nashville hot spicy given the name but you have to order Nashville hot or buffalo chicken for an additional charge. We added a good amount of Cholula to kick it up a notch! Definitely a good return visit. Thanks Ayden for making us feel special & being such a fun person. We'll be dreaming about those nachos until the next visit! NOM NOM NOM #YUM

Decorations are at a minimum. No leeway for any kind of customization there. No guest can hang outside the venue. But the management is horrible. When you call them they pick up the phone with no greeting or anything. They pick up and say "AHLO?" And sometimes I begin to question if it's franchescas on waterplace that I'm calling. I've scheduled to see the venue after putting my deposit down. Once I got there nobody was there. I called in the rain and nobody picked up. Nobody got back to me in 3 days. Save everyone time and their deposit money. It's $2500. If you pay upfront (which you have to) they reserve the right to keep it regardless of cancellations due to covid or anything else. Was a head ache the whole time. Place is pretty, but unprofessional to work with.

CAUTION:…read moreDocument everything discussed with Franchesca and proceed with caution when communicating. For some strange reason she always "means something else." It seems that Franchesca's preference is to talk over the phone rather than providing written responses to emails. During several conversations with myself, mom to be, and mother of the mom to be (all separate conversations), Franchesca gave favorable responses then changed her response about capacity, parking, ADA access, clean up, rentals, etc. (I believe she just needed a booking so she said yes to all of my questions). Franchesca never updated the contract, did not send a fully executed contract, was misleading about parking and ADA access, didn't know how to work her own speaker, told us that the shelves in the fridge couldn't be removed to put the cake inside, and the list goes on. Franchesca also told me that she would not be present during the event but would be in reach if I needed her because she doesn't have an office on-site, which was fine. During set up, her husband introduced himself and said that if I needed anything, his number was on the wall. He didn't leave, in fact, he babysat our event, walking in and out as he pleased. Several people asked who he was because he was very much out of place. At one point I came out of the kitchen and he had a plate of food. Another time, I came out of the kitchen and he was eating a slice of cake. He certainly wasn't there to help because we did absolutely everything (set up, trash, dismantle, speaker, etc.). After we paid in full, Franchesca became difficult to talk to. She kept cutting us (mom to be, myself) off during conversations before we could complete a thought. She also told us that she would clean everything, then decided that she didn't clean and we had to remove our own trash unless we paid her $150 additional for trash removal because she didn't have access to a dumpster. The time allotted wasn't worth the price, especially when her husband lingered like we were in his way (very tacky). Wasn't a comfortable feeling as we felt we were being watched throughout our rental. The shower was gorgeous and all the guests were pleased. My overall experience for the price I paid is about a 4 (1-10 scale).

I'm so sad that I cannot give more stars to Skyline at Waterplace…read more Their venue is in such an INCREDIBLE location, in the heart of downtown Providence right on the river. They have a huge balcony that overlooks the river and a ground level patio that walks right out to the river boardwalk. We were able to enjoy Providence's Water Fire with private, front row seats. It was a priceless experience Despite all of that, the interior spaces are very, very small and oddly shaped, making it very hard to move during an event. It also makes it very difficult for the staff to maneuver in between tables, causing a major traffic jam when it comes to meal time. I'm not sure what happened when we were there, but there were MAJOR delays and mix ups during our event. So much so that the wait staff actually forgot to serve our entire table. By the time the realized this, they served us ice cold food that was over cooked, over salted, and actually inedible. The hosts of our event tried to correct it by offering to comp our table a round of drinks. But at that point we were all so disappointed and turned off by the entire experience that we all decided to leave two hours before the end of the event. Skyline at Waterplace has the potential to be incredible. But until they make some major changes, it's not a place I can recommend.

The view is a view you can see without eating here. Overall it's a solid meh. But then the service was poor. Our server was very friendly but disappeared chatting with a nearby table for long soars of time. We could see her, but we couldn't get her attention so waters stayed unfilled and such. And when we asked for separate checks with was a TRAGEDY. Huge deal about how they don't do it and the can't do it but they'll do it this time and then here's some guilt with your checks. The manager came over and shamed us for our wanting to use separate forms of payment too. Separate checks stopped being a big deal in the 90s. In the 90s there was easy to use POS tech to do separate checks. And then they added gratuity (without telling us or noting it anywhere) so the bit about how people don't right with separate checks was uncalled for. There is zero chance I'll ever go back here. But. Again. The appetizers were good.

Of course the view of Pepperrell Cove is breathtaking, but the real star of the show here is the food. We were able to custom tailor the menu to be exactly what we wanted to serve, and it was all made on-site from fresh ingredients - something that is not easy to find at event venues. My family is Italian, from New York and hard to please when it comes to food, and they were all raving about every single dish that was served. Donna's assistance leading up to the event in coordinating with vendors and her hands-on presence during event night made the process seamless. I didn't have a wedding planner / day-of coordinator, and ended up not needing one - she made everything happen perfectly, even making sure our elderly guests had easy access to their seats. I couldn't recommend The View more for a wedding!

If you have business in the area, this is a great bet. If you're a tourist, this isn't prime location, but in all fairness, Boston is a pretty compact city, so you're not really that inconvenienced from visiting the best the city has to offer. Everything is walkable, including the North End, Quincy Market, the Public Garden, and if you love walking like I do, even the Back Bay. A small (but genuinely nice) perk: during check-in, the front desk handed out tokens for free clam chowder at their restaurant for each day of our stay. After trying multiple clam chowder spots across the city for five days, I have to say the Hyatt's was solid, definitely a 6.5/7, and honestly, there are plenty of worse options in places that look great on the outside. Like all Hyatts I stay at, you get your standard 2 free bottles of water per room (more if you ask nicely), and I love that this hotel has a working, spacious fridge for everything I either travel with (medication) or acquire for bizarre snack times (yoghurt, energy drinks, and candy bars. Bathrooms are very clean, and for the ladies out there, it passes the influencer daughter mirror/lighting requirement to look pretty. For me, the shower pressure was perfect to wash away the city's grime. Also, they use the good toilet paper. You know, the kind that doesn't fall apart when you "clean" a little more thoroughly- it passes the dude wipe. For families, the lobby has a game table (I think it was foosball), and a putting area, which provides a nice 15-20 minutes of quiet buffer time as you wait for the rest of your party to show up. I like it. I'll definitely come back and stay here.

So if you're into singing with a live band go on over and live out your rockstar dreams! They had the food truck called The Grove which I think has a very limiting menu - in terms of healthy and tasty - which is my requirement. I got the grove salad with chicken and it was just ok - nothing to write home about. The hubs had the BLT sandwich which he liked but also found it quite greasy. There are restrooms which are these portable ones in these trailers and they're very nice and clean but the individual ones on the opposite end of the stage was very smelly.
