After a traumatic car accident, a year of recovery, and five orthopedic surgeries, I was left with significant upper-body atrophy, poor balance, limited mobility, and uncertainty about whether I could return to the activities I loved. I needed more than a generic trainer--I needed someone with deep knowledge of strength, mobility, and how to rebuild a body that had been through serious trauma. Julia excels at intelligent, highly customized training, and I was a challenging case. She quickly identified weaknesses I hadn't fully recognized myself, including one-sided balance issues, tight hip flexors, and shoulder and back mobility limitations. She built routines specifically around those weaknesses and continually adapted them as my recovery progressed. Julia tracked my strength gains in detail, which kept me motivated and pushing toward new PRs. She paired that with dynamic stretching and mobility work tailored to my real life--from running to hands-on automotive restoration--so the progress translated directly outside the gym. The results have been remarkable. My atrophied muscles rebuilt, restoring symmetry. My strength and balance are better than they were before the accident. My body fat percentage is the best it's been in over a decade. I look in the mirror and feel proud. I ran my first half marathon, returned fully to my classic car restoration hobby, and feel capable again--physically and mentally. Because Julia continually adjusted my training as my body healed, I now feel better than ever. I'm celebrating my 40th birthday with a body that feels a decade younger. I highly recommend Julia to anyone looking for expert guidance in strength, mobility, recovery, and long-term health--delivered with a friendly, motivating approach that genuinely works.

When I first started, my main goal was to lose body fat while building a stronger, more athletic physique. Since working with Josh, I've gotten significantly leaner, while also seeing a huge improvement in my overall fitness and endurance. Running has become a regular part of my routine, and I can now comfortably run for much longer and at a much better pace than when I started. What I appreciate most about Josh is that the training feels very personalized. He pays attention to how my body responds, adjusts exercises when something doesn't feel right, and makes sure I'm progressing without just pushing weight for the sake of it. He also keeps me accountable with my nutrition and overall routine, which has made a big difference in my results. The environment at Overperform is also great. I cannot recommend Priscilla enough for your training needs! Gyms were always intimidating for me,…read moreand consistency was difficult to maintain, but Priscilla really changed that for me. She motivated me to continually work on the things I struggled with while still meeting me where I was when it came to mobility and strength (I was a girly with tense hips and a weak core ). She also knew when to call me out when things were getting too easy and I was trying to be sly. It was truly the kind of partnership I needed to push myself out of my comfort zone. I went from hating the idea of going to the gym to being eager to find out if the week was going to start with a lower or upper body day. But Priscilla's care went beyond our sessions. As a graduate student, there were times when I would procrastinate a little too hard, and she always encouraged me to prioritize studying when the semester started to get tougher. She was always so understanding and considerate when my personal life was lifing, while still motivating me to get back to it when I could. That balance of compassion and accountability made all the difference. She truly fosters a sense of community both inside and outside of the gym. I'm so grateful for the confidence, strength, and consistency she helped me build during my time there!
