A week later I found out my dads cancer was back and we needed to move up the wedding ceremony as he was not going to make it to the wedding date. Diane not only got my dress ready in time, she also hand delivered it to my house! Afterwards she hand washed it and altered it in time for the originally scheduled ceremony. She was always hold a special place in my heart because I was able to wear my dress before my dad passed. I am so happy I got the memories with him as he didn't make it to second ceremony. LESS THAN ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE- Beautiful $550 Marchesa dress ruined, $80 to alter, and I'm out…read morealmost $700 - wife/seamstress altered from waist up when was only supposed to be taken in hip area and straps shortened. I write this review to hopefully prevent another customer service disaster like I had there today. If you don't have an issue, you won't know and good for you! The dress was not ready the day the husband promised on 7/25. He knew I wanted to pick up earlier since it's for a very important event. After several calls and attempts to pick up in the days after 7/25, the husband continued telling me that it wasn't ready, that they were working on a wedding dress. I'm sorry, but I don't really care about excuses. Anyway, we were finally able to pick up a week late. The waist up fit perfectly fine when I dropped off, and was NOT supposed to be altered. Now I cannot zip it up. Called to explain the issue and the husband giggles and tells me just come in and they'll see what they can do. Not considering or caring that I'm 1/2 hr away and my schedule is tight. I get there and they talk over each other the whole time making it very difficult to have any sort of conversation, but suffice it to say that they both kept denying that they altered the top of the dress. I saw what appeared to be chalk markings near the zipper and the sides, which is usually how they mark for altering, and pointed that out. They both responded louldy while the wife was wiping it off, denying they marked the dress. It was almost controlled chaos. I had just purchased the dress and brought to them with no markings. THEY THEN TOLD ME I MUST HAVE GAINED WEIGHT. I did not, as proven by the fact that the hip area where wife altered the dress fit perfectly, which they kept telling me. How could that be if I gained weight? It couldn't. I was obviously upset, asking them what they were going to do about it. The man told me that they could take it out on top, but that would be another alteration, ie I would need to pay for that which was ridiculous, like the whole experience. But the wife then told me there was no way to take it out.They continued talking at me, both at the same time, and the husband was laughing and smiling. It was a nightmare, they did nothing for me except lie to me and ruin my dress, cause me a lot of stress and financial distress. I am out a lot of money and need to go find another dress in two days and spend more money. If you have had a similar issue at this business, please contact me.

Truly so helpful, she and Lilly Belle went above and beyond in helping me pick out styles she thought I would like even down to accessories. Although it didn't make sense for me to order my dress out of state to TN, I definitely thought about it just because of how great of an experience I had! Never use John H. Daniel! I had them make three suits in 1989, thirty years ago. They were…read morewonderful, the fit was perfect right out of the box. So earlier this year, I decided to take advantage of their two-for-one offer. The results were terrible. So far, I've spent an additional $500+ to have them recut. They are way better, but I'm still not satisfied. What happened to 1989's John Daniels? When I first tried the two suits on in their store, the jackets looked okay from the front. But when I went home to show my wife, she asked "Did you see the back?" She pulled out a hand mirror and showed me. I was horrified. At that point, I realized that there are no longer any triple mirrors in the Daniels store. You'll never see the back of anything you try on. And the person who filled my order and could obviously have seen the problem... he hadn't said a thing. Then the trousers: I specifically specified a trim fit. They came back cut like pantaloons. I went back to Daniels and asked for remedial tailoring. They took the coats and the pants, but when I got them back, took them home, looked in two mirrors, nothing seemed to have been done. Okay, I can understand someone in a faraway place miscutting a suit. But the person at Daniels saw what had been done. He was experienced in his job, and he said nothing. Did he think I wouldn't notice? That's not okay with me. Stay away!

I recently stopped in while being in town for the holidays. As soon as we stepped in we were greeted by a rather frazzled woman claiming they were too busy to help us and we could potentially come back the next day or later if they had a cancellation. She then quickly ran away to help someone else and we were left standing in the entrance. Thankfully Sabrina was just getting off of a phone call and said she could show us to the sizes and have a look, she just wouldn't be available to help us pull anything since there was another client she was helping, which was fine by us, again we just wanted to have a peek at what was available. After sifting though a few racks we found a dress my sister was willing to try on and when Sabrina was walking past she was able to quickly direct us to a fitting room and sitting area with a large mirror we could use. She was still with another client, but said if we could get her zipped up ourselves we were welcome to have the Bride try on the dress. After Sabrina was done with her client she proceeded to help us find a veil and tiara to go with the dress and helped us wrap everything up at the desk in the front. Sabrina is an absolutely wonderful associate and really did her best to balance all her clients and still help us out as a walk-in. Granted, we did most of the work and gave the shop a pretty low-effort sale, but the woman that was initially trying to shoo us out of the shop certainly left a bad taste in the mouth.
