What a Contrast! When I was growing up, Belk's was the "nice" department store. Today I was severely disappointed. The store displays were messy, racks and clothes laying in the floor, and the rare employee I came across was not helpful or friendly. My wife did buy a couple of items. In contrast, the Dillards in the same mall was amazing. Neat organized and well-staffed. read more

Covid Return: I order items online that didn't work out and went to the store to return them. Belk has a 180 day return policy which is nice during this time. There is a special area in the junior department designated for returns. The line was pretty long, but store attendants moved swiftly through the process. read more

My review is applicable to both the Women's and the Men/Kids/Home Belk stores in West Town Mall. Both carry a good selection of high-retail brand items. The women's fragrance and cosmetic department is better than I've seen at other Belk locations. Great selection of Ralph Lauren and Vineyard Vines apparel in the men's store. They also run excellent sales in the children's department. My only complaint with both stores is the lack of cleanliness in the restrooms. They are so bad that my husband and I joke about searching for a porta-potty when my toddler needs an urgent bathroom break at Belk. Between the overflowing garbage cans, broken TP dispensers, strong urine smell, and often clogged toilets, it's more reminiscent of a bar bathroom than a higher-end department store. This issue would be an easy fix by management to be a 5 star Belk! read more

we went to this location today to get a pair of shoes for our teenage daughter. No one offered to bring us a size so we tried on the display shoe. It fit so my husband approached a sales associate - Katie - who was having a personal conversation and said excuse me, that's all he got out before she interrupted him. Her response was 'well I'm talking right now so.' She could have said I will be right with you or I will get someone to help you but she bit his head off and kept on with her personal conversation. We were all stunned by her rude attitude when all he said was excuse me. Needless to say we bought our shoes elsewhere. My husband decided on the way back through the mall 45 minutes later he was going to talk to someone about the incident. She was still in the same place talking to the same person. All we wanted to do was buy a pair of shoes for our daughters dance but they couldn't be bothered. read more

I normally always shop at their clearance sections. They have amazing deals on clearance purses! This is always my favorite go-to for when I'm in desperate need of a cami that actually fits me. I normally go to the ladies store but the other side of the mall's Belk also has good deals. We always find a parking space at Belk whenever there isn't a major holiday. The bathrooms and fitting rooms are pretty clean too! Now if only I could get approved for the Belk card we would be in good shape! read more

Walked around 10+ minutes trying to find men's section. Never found it. Possibly the worst laid out Belks I've ever been in. No maps at front, sign for women's apparel, shoes, and men's restroom but no men's clothing. Gave up and won't be back. read more

Really bad customer service today. They only have a few registers open in the store anyway, and this one had two registers with two Associates working. But when the associate finished ringing up the purchase of the person in front of me, she left. She just left. She wasn't on break, because she was walking around doing stuff with hangers and whatever. She completely ignored me. I had one item to purchase. One item. Associate helping the other customer was taking about forty shirts off the hangers while the other customer continue to shop or she was being rung up. The associate didn't come back to the second register until they were people in line behind me. There was no reason for me to have to wait that long for to make that purchase.. read more

Nice employees and good sales, fairly easy to deal with, although it seems they are constantly moving things around between the 2 locations. The worst thing about Belk is every single store is SO dirty! Filthy carpet, dirty walls, the paint never gets touched up and the same flooring and fixtures that were there years ago. It's such a shame, when the Belk men's store was still Parisian those were the nicest restrooms in the whole mall. They were disgusting today. I wish Belk would spend some time and effort cleaning up their stores. read more

I love shopping for my amazingly feminine wife and daughter. Belk has the biggest selection of dresses in Knoxville. And the quality is pretty good. My all time favorite clothing for my wife is from Ann Taylor but we just can not afford to buy everything at Ann Taylor. read more

I'd put No stars if I could. Kathy and Brysen knows exactly nothing about Belk or Clinique's return policy. Brysen tried to tell me I couldn't EXCHANGE an item unless I had the box or receipt. Yet their receipt says differently. After I asked to speak with a manager Brysen said 'well they will tell you the same thing', completely rude and unprofessional, he then called Kathy (a manager) and Kathy said she 'didn't feel comfortable' returning items without a receipt or box, even aftsr i repeatedly told them both i have 4 forms of payment they could look up. After I showed her what their receipt paper says about returns she then said if I wanted to wait for he manager to come back from lunch I could talk to her. I had already spent 30minutes waiting to exchange my items. I told her no thanks that I will be calling. I went ahead and and exchanged the items that had boxes or I had receipts for and left. My question is how can Kathy be a MANAGER yet feel 'uncomfortable' doing her job? And not to mention Brysen the Clinique guy literally lying to the customers face just because of his commission...? I'm reporting them both and will be returning my stuff with no exchange at that location. The receipt says as quoted about the return policy. Brysen also tried to argue that you couldn't buy belk/Clinique Items on Belk.com with a gift card. I told him multiple times yes you can. I have many times. That's what I get for Christmas and my birthday is gift cards to places I LIKE to shop. Kathy also was also trying to get rude when she said 'oh so you don't know if you like an item within the last 30days' I told her yeah I knew but I had this thing called a life and a real job. The next day I called Blaine (the store manager) and he told me that since i had work for clinique (a year ago) they didnt know if o got it for free, (even tho i have my forms of payment to verify i paid for it), and then proceeded to tell me the he HEARD I tried to return "$1000 worth of items", i told him how much the items were and told him maybe his employees need to learn to count so they dobt look like liars. I obviously won't be shopping there anymore. It's so sad how they treat their paying customers and former employees. They act like if you quit working for them you aren't allowed to buy from then anymore. They are just ugly as heck there (besides the jewelry woman, she's sweet to her customers). The Belk employees of West Town (and Oak Ridge) have now been harassing me on Facebook. Even making fake profiles, I have reported the harassment to Facebook, but still makes them look immature and very unprofessional. Will be reporting to the BBB! read more
