Dillards is a mainstay department store in the South. It has been in West Town a long time and has held its ground in a tough retail battle for consumer dollars. It's my personal favorite among the West Town department stores (beating out Belk). Why? The deals. For whatever reason, Dillards is very aggressive on its sales at different points in the year. If they mark it down, it may be 65% off their sale price. Thus, you may find a $100 item for like $15 sometimes. Sales aside, they carry some good brands too. From outdoor brands like North Face to fancier stuff like Hugo Boss, it's here. For men, suits are decent too if you need business or formal. Very good casual clothes too with different styles from laid back to preppy. Women's section is enormous and has styles that will appeal to all ages. I get lost trying to find my wife if she is wandering thought the massive offerings on the second floor. Kids section is decent and has some a number of options. However, overall, I'd say Belk is probably a little better for kids. Overall: Worth a stop if you need things that department store sell. read more

I shop at the Dillard's in Knoxville, Tennessee. I am so often helped by Ms. Martha Pierce in the women's department. She is extraordinary! She is kind, professional, friendly, always cheerful, and very knowledgeable about women's clothing. She told me today that she's worked for Dillards for 31 years. Her customer service skills are exceptional - she should be teaching others. I wished that there were more sales personnel like Ms. Pierce, it would make shopping a lot more enjoyable. read more

One of my absolute favorite places to shop in Knoxville, the only area in this department store that is lacking is the jewelry department. The have one of the absolute best shoe departments if not the best in town. Ask for Tammy, she's the best and always gives good advice on shoes. If they don't have one in your size that you want, she will grab some other shoes for suggestions or she can order you the ones you want in your size. Great customer service!! Upstairs is the women's department which is large and I never leave empty handed. They have a large selection of purses, sunglasses, lingerie, children's clothing, and men's clothing. Secret Tip: I shop in the men's department for myself for winter coats after season, believe me they offer incredible discounts and they seem to fit better for whatever reason, and if you have a Dillards card you can save a lot!! We went to the after Christmas sale for holiday decor. As you can imagine, this department was crowded and the two registers were quickly inubdatd with people trying to checkout. The mgmt dealt with this issue very well, forcing customers too nearby departments to check out. We were directed to a register in the women's department. We had the pleasure of meeting Lana Khorsheed. She handled our purchases which such ease. She was friendly, welcoming and helpful. We truly appreciate her desire to help us and her demeanor in handling our purchases. She is a true asset to your store. read more

I was in dire need of homecoming shoes for my daughter. We decided to walk into Dillards to see what we could find , the next thing we know we were getting screamed at getting told to get out. I am highly dissatisfied and disappointed that a store could hire such rude , unthoughtful , and just nasty people. Not to mention how mean the lady was to my daughter basically yelling at her "WERE CLOSED!" In the shoe department. It was 7:50 , they did not close til 8:00. Which is sad considering the mall closes at 9:00. We decided to go to belk and got the perfect shoes , thanks but no thank you Dillards. read more

Susie and Angela are both so knowledgeable of the product line, are very helpful, and they so perfectly represent the brand with their recommendations and product suggestions (based on your needs). 14 minutes ago Shout out to Dillards of west town mall for their discrimination! You guys are truly brilliant! First a lady basically tells me theres nothing I can afford there that I should look somewhere else then you send a knox county officer across the mall after us to accuse us of stealing a $30 dress because the tag fell off in the dressing room! The lady watching us the whole time missed the part where we put it back on the rack and specifically said that we were coming back to get it if we didnt find another dress! The officer came to me and said "you forgot to pay for something didnt you?" I was like "no" so he proceeded to search my children and our stuff and said that my daughter's purple jacket was what they thought was the dress.My family and I were absolutely mortified! We were profiled from the minute we walked in the door because I guess to them we look poor. Dillards really needs to coach their staff on discrimination and how to handle situations as such. Employees standing around acting like they are playing on their phones while clearly following someone is very unprofessional. What kind of establishment allows all of their employees to walk around on the sales floor playing on their phone anyway whether they really were or if that was their tactic to try to go unnoticed? Sadly we still bought $50 worth of items there and while checking out nothing was said to us until the officer stopped us on the other side of the mall. If you go to this establishment make sure you dress nice because they will profile, discriminate, and humiliate you if you dont. I am planning to contact dillards corporate office to hopefully put a stop to the discrimination of people because of their looks. Sadly this is something that will continue to happen until some retraining and coaching is done. Hadn't been to the mall n a while decided I'd go get me a birthday gift to myself from Dillard's me n my best friend walked n n it was like we declared war! A uniformed officer came and looked to me like he was videoing me n the way I was looking for a handbag every employee came out ducking and peeking like we had open hand guns it was down right ridiculous we were borderline harassed! We kept looking @ each other like is this really happening?! They need to put up NO BLACKS ALLOWED signs I was still dumb enough to buy a couple t-shirts n she did as well but when I say I will cancel my card n never ever enter that place again! My God it's 2022! I need for somebody to make it make sense for me because the way we were treated is unacceptable I will be contacting corporate but all I can say at this point is shame on Dillard's west town mall! I love to shop at Dillard's. The staff remembers you each time you visit in the ladies departments. I love the Bryn Walker line and the John Mark wear. I was in this store today shopping in the petite section of the store and the cashier / sales associates made me feel like I couldn't wear petite so she tried to send me over to plus size embarrassed because I just had a baby but it turned out that I found two shirts that fit perfectly in petite and I was thinking about buying them and I wanted to continue shopping around the store but the lady wouldn't let me take the shirts out of petite because she wanted the sales commission so I feel very pressured to buy the shirts only in that section which I thought was very inappropriate so I decided not to buy anything and Dillard's because if that's how they treat their customers then I would rather shop somewhere else read more

Love this store...they have Michael Kors galore, which is my favorite designer. They have the BEST shoes to choose from..pricey yes. But, you pay for what you get. They have the most beautiful prom/gowns upstairs and are pretty resonable for them... I wanted a new Fitbit that was showing in-stock at the West Town Mall store but couldn't be located. The shipment was received but no one knew where they were. Marienne went above and beyond to order one for me and have it shipped to my home. She did everything over the phone saving me multiple trips to the mall. She was kind, courteous and a woman of her word. She needed a little time to do some research and called me back exactly when she said she would.
