Normally, I waffle back and forth between loving and hating the look. NOT THIS TIME, FOLKS. Leah is incredibly patient and knowledgeable, and it truly showed in the consultation she gave me. She was very realistic about what colors my hair could achieve, gave me sound advice in the best cut to frame my face, and how to give me movement and volume since my natural hair is flat and straight. Finally, Leah was so much fun to talk to. When you're spending 4 hours at a salon, it helps to have someone with a great personality to connect and chat with. You'd be amazed at how hard that is to find sometimes! She made 4 hours fly by in no time at all, and I can't wait to visit her again in a few months to catch up. Please give her all your money because she's a stylist that we need to keep forever and ever. I refuse to find someone new to do my hair when I've just found her. This is how I found Ms. Pamela Ashley, and I'm SO glad that I did :) I get my nails done at Harvey Hair & Nails every two weeks, so I inquired as to whether or not they knew of a place where I could get hair extensions. They have 2 girls that do them there! No way! So I looked up reviews on Yelp! to see if there were any. Pam had only ONE review, but it was 5 stars, so I was willing to give her a chance just because I honestly was too lazy to go all the way to Austin. I avoid going downtown like the plague. So I meet with Pam on Thursday at the shop and she gives me a consultation, then goes with me to pick out hair at Sally's (which I TOTALLY appreciated since I hadn't a clue what to buy). Friday morning I arrived at the shop at 10am. We did a conditioning treatment first just to help my poor hair get some type of strength before adding the weave. She started braiding around 11 (my entire head) and then sewed in the hair that I had purchased. Once all of the braiding was finished, she cut and styled it to my liking. The before and after pictures speak for itself. I am just AMAZED at how natural it looks! Pam is very professional, caring, obviously loves what she does for a living, and truly has helped me to feel beautiful (5 12/ months pregnant and all). So if you're the poor white girl that has extremely fine hair that loves to do whatever it feels like (especially in the summer heat of TX), then give Pam a call. You won't be disappointed!
