I booked a routine cleaning and never received one. Instead, I sat for an hour while the dentist, Dr. Dhaliwal, claimed I had gum problems and pushed multiple deep cleanings. Luckily, I then sought two independent opinions: both confirmed my gums are healthy. Based on this experience, the dentist is either grossly incompetent or fraudulently misdiagnosing to sell unnecessary procedures. Reading previous comments on Yelp and Google, it seems others were similarly misdiagnosed. Such conduct is disgusting and should result in the loss of a dental license. Avoid this practice and get a second opinion before agreeing to anything. By far the worst experience I have had at a dentist. read more

The customer service has always sucked. Billing challenges have existed since day 1. And now she keeps pushing cosmetic work and the deep cleanings. This didn't used to be the case. LISTEN TO US! Wow I can't believe so many people have had the same experience. I hadn't been to the dentist in over 10 years before seeing Dr. Dhaliwal, so when she told me I had to do a deep cleaning, I thought it made sense and agreed to it. Little did I know, she's telling everyone the same thing, regardless of how long it's been! It was a horribly painful and uncomfortable experience requiring local anesthesia and 2 visits, maybe if I saw a different dentist I wouldn't have had to go through that. Initially she told me I would need to do a set of "periodontal maintenance" cleanings for about a year, but maybe more, coming in 3 times a year, to make sure the gum infection didn't return. Mind you, most insurance doesn't fully cover periodontal maintenance, or even more than 2 regular cleanings a year! Mine certainly doesn't! I improved my dental hygiene habits immediately and luckily had an appointment with a different dentist in the same office who told me my teeth and gums looked amazing so I would be able to go back to regular cleanings from then on. During my next visit, I was paired up with Dr. Dhaliwal again, and I told her about what the other dentist said, that I didn't need to do "periodontal maintenance" cleanings anymore and could go back to regular cleanings, she said ok, but guess what? I've been twice since then, both times asking if it's just a regular cleaning and she says yes, but still keeps charging for "periodontal maintenance" which ISN'T covered by insurance! She fooled me twice which is shame on me, which is why I'm looking for new dentists instead and only new stumbled on all these reviews. I learned my lesson! Worst dentist I have ever seen!!!! There were NO patients in the waiting room - totally empty - I know why. When they walked me back, I saw the dentist texting on her cell phone in her office. I quickly realized the dentist was there to sell unnecessary services to make money. She refused to do the regular teeth cleaning I had made the appointment for - she said they would only do a deep cleaning. On top of the deep cleaning, then she wanted me to sign on for braces. She gave me a 15 minute lecture about all that was wrong with my teeth. I have never had that happen in my life with any doctor. I asked again if they would do a regular cleaning - they said no - and I left. I was so shocked at the rudeness and sales pitch of it all. Avoid this place!!!!! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS! You have been warned! These people care nothing about their patients they only want your money! Previous dentist I went to I had 2 cavities in the span of 5 years. After having to switch I came here and they told me I had 12 cavities on my first evaluation! Funny that I had my check up from last place with no cavities only couple months prior! Y u may ask? Laws changed giving no cap on insurance for services like cavities. So more they can stick on a patient they can bill the insurance for. Bunch of crooks. On top of that they charged me $100 for being late once. And what took me over the top and proved my point that they can care less about you is what just happened now! Over weekend I was going through horrible pain and called to see if I can get an appointment. They told me they would check availability and call back within an hour. They did not! I called back after waiting by the phone in pain asking why they didn't call and they told me no availability and someone would call me back. Shortly after doctor called me and asked what's wrong and I told her the pain was from the tooth they previously worked on and if there was anything I can do to temp ease the pain. She told me she would give me a referral on monday and sent a script to the pharmacy. So now is Monday and I get an email saying I need to settle my outstanding balance for my "consultation call" over the weekend before they could give me the referral!!! They want to charge me $250 for me trying to call and make an appointment over the weekend! And as a courtesy take off $150 for me so I only owe them $100 for speaking to the doctor that told me what I already know. How kind of them! These people do not have your best interest at heart at all and by far the worst kind of people I've come across. The ones that smile in your face and send you a bill for it later. A practice that looks to take advantage of the system at the expense of its patients doesn't belong in our community. I hope that this review will catch the attention of the right people that eventually will lead to an investigation upon their practice. read more

I had a very bad experience at Pristine Smiles. I thought it is a good place but felt so disappointed. I made a reservation for me and my daughter and got their confirmation by phone. However, when we got there, the receptionist told me my daughter was not assigned to their place. If she was not assigned to their place, why they did not inform me earlier? Admittedly, there was some information flow issue between my insurance company and them, but if they could communicate to me before we come, we can totally solve it. However, I was informed at the last minute and my daughter had to leave school earlier but without seeing the dentist. Also, my interaction with the dentist made me feel worse. The dentist was impatient, did not listen well and did not explain clearly the procedures. After my examination, when I was trying to call my insurance company to solve this problem so that my daughter can come. To make sure other customers are well served by the receptionist, I called outside (to be quiet) and asked my insurance company to call the clinic later after other customers leaving. Unexpectedly, the dentist walked to me, interrupted and told me not to disturb the receptionist all the time. I was so confused! No respect and no professionalism. Finally, the customer representative from my insurance company gave feedback that the clinic is not cooperative to solve the problem, and they had to report to its quality department. read more

Over a year ago, I needed to find a new dentist and was referred to Dr. Dhaliwal at Pristine Smiles. Dr. Dhaliwal and her staff provide an excellent quality of care, superb customer service, and a welcoming environment. Right after Dr. Dhaliwal explained to me what services she recommended for me, she presented me with a clear list of all the costs of each recommended service (this list was very short). She was very gentle when she worked on my teeth. Her prices are incredibly fair and reasonable, and her office is very clean and attractive. I am now happy to go to the dentist. I started coming here a few months ago and have nothing but great things to say! The receptionists are very warm and friendly and always work with me to schedule my appointments at times that are convenient for me. The dental assistants seem very knowledgeable and good at their jobs, and Dr. D is so thorough she explains every single things she does and why which I really appreciate! My first appointment was for a routine cleaning, followed by 2 small cavities filled, and now I am using the Invisalign braces. She gave me all of the information regarding them and the course of treatment and cost breakdown and didn't pressure me which I really appreciated because it's a big investment in time / money (although not as much as I expected which was a nice surprise!) and I didn't feel rushed. She also has always started my appointments right on time, or even early if I get there early which is always such a nice thing to find and not common. Definitely recommend! read more

Pristine Smiles is a for-profit dental outfit that places corporate profit and investor return before patient need. Dr. Dhailwal is simply an employee with a corporate bottom-line to meet. She diagnosed me with a serious problem that required extensive and very expensive dental work. I went to another, older, more experienced, and better established dentist out of my insurance network for a second opinion. He stated that the diagnosis was faulty and that no work was required. Now, some three years later, the "problem" she diagnosed as never appeared. My advice: avoid dental offices with names like "pristine smiles" and "happy smiles." They are for-profit corporate outfits. Stick to dentist offices that state the name of the dentist. Corporate outfits do not do this since they suffer from a high turnover of their employee dentists. They promote unnecessary dental work knowing that patients' insurance will pay for it. this contributes to higher insurances rates. read more
