Hired them to pack some of our stuff. They arrived on time and then proceeded to go over the paperwork with me. By the time they finished with that, it was half an hour into the three hour packing time. Two guys were supposed to be packing, but every time we checked, the lead guy was on the phone or wandering around. They padded most of the fragile items we asked them to pack and said on the day of the move they would put them in a box. Almost every box they did pack had to be opened and repacked. It took them around a half an hour to tally up the boxes to charge us, so when all was said and done, they charged us for 3 1/2 hours of labor. You have been warned! read more

TERRIBLE!! Dishonest, unreliable, condescending. You want the people packing and moving all of your belongings to be trustworthy individuals who actually care (even just a little bit) about your things and your moving plans. NOT the case with this company or owner. Shane and his crew purposefully left us with our most valuable and heavy items to move ourselves at the very last hour( clearly for liability reasons). When my husband found what they had done and told Shane it wasn't cool to leave him alone to move all of our most heavy items (300 pounds and more) he didn't respond or offer help. Instead - HE GHOSTED US. We were set for a full pack and move and instead, Shane took the money and ran and left us in a really hard position having to leave our rental and with no help to move. We have no family here and our friends all have young children. We had to last minute hire random people from Facebook to help us finish our first half of the move. Thankfully, we hired some actual professional movers for the next half. I will update here when I found out how Shane's crew actually packed our things. I'm not feeling optimistic given how things looked in the pods and by how defensive Shane was if we questioned his tactics. Red flag! ! No coverings on furniture legs?! White wool rugs rolled but not covered? Children's fabric couch not protected at all and packed into a pod? I'm honestly scared to see how are things are once they get unpacked by the next movers. Shane is obviously hoping that by ghosting us, he will lose damage liability when we hire someone else to move what he packed. I'll be documenting everything before it's touched. SCAMMER I will say - for the most part, the guys he had packing the house were nice men. Shane even seemed like a trustworthy guy. Sadly not the case. After shopping for a moving company, Shane, at Pristine Movers, convinced me to go with his company. During our phone conversation, he told me why I should not use other companies because he had worked for all of them at some point and knew what they did to take advantage of customers. He assured me I would not be disappointed and that he would come out to the house to actually view what was being moved. We scheduled an appointment for a few days later and he failed to show up and completely forgot about our appointment. I overlooked that and gave him a chance because I believe that people make mistakes. After walking around my entire house, seeing the amount of furniture, the boxes in the basement, the clothes in the closets, the deck furniture, and the stuff in the garage, he confidently assured me that this would all fit in a 26 foot truck. Initially, we weren't going to take a bed a TV/tvstand and a recliner. I asked him if we changed our mind. Would this furniture fit in that truck? He said oh sure, no problem. When we got to Price, he told me that a flat rate was the best way to go, and that would include everything in the move. all furniture, labor, 3 employees and the cost of the truck. This is his business, He knows what he's doing, I agreed to a flat rate. I was quoted $1500 flat plus tax. I would put down half as a deposit to secure my date and pay the remaining half when the move was completed. It was supposed to take eight hours, it took 12. All three of the movers worked their tails off. And I tipped each of them $100. When they got to the new house, I was told that they weren't able to fit everything on the truck, it was packed so tightly nothing else could have fit. I was told there were a few boxes, my deck furniture, and a couple other small tables, etc. Needless to say, I wasn't happy, but I knew that the movers did the best they could and that when I called Shane tomorrow, we would work something out. Also, I paid the balance in full, my mistake. The job wasn't done and I was quoted a flat rate on the entire house. I called Shane the next morning and said I hope you're gonna help me out here, I think you underestimated what would fit in the truck. At this point, I did not know what was left at my house. He said he would get back to me. He never called me back, he text me. This is what I can do...This is the price for a truck and this is half price for two employees hourly rates. basically it was going to cost me $600 minimum, for his mistake. I told him that that was way more than I expected and that I thought he would meet me halfway. He said that's the best I can do. Sorry I can't help you. End of story. I have text to prove that he said he couldn't help me. So my husband and I rented a U-Haul in Nashville, went out to the house, filled it up. I also had to call a local guy to help us load the heavy stuff good $150 $250 for U haul. Not knowing how much stuff was there, I got the smallest U-Haul truck and it Didn't fit, not even close. Finally, the guy that helped us load the U-Haul offered to rent a U-Haul trailer. Get the rest of the stuff and bring it to us in Alabama, two hours away. $250. All this said, Pristine Movers, are supposed to be the experts in moving. Clearly, he way underestimated what would fit in the truck and he had even been to my house to view my furniture and stuff. To make a mistake like that and not offer to help me out is not how I would run a business. I waited a week to write this review because I was so angry and disappointed with Shane who sold himself to me on the front end about how good he was at doing this job. He failed miserably. I'm including pictures to show how much stuff did not fit in the original truck. Sometimes we make mistakes, and we have to own them. We moved from CA to TN using U-Pack / ABF and had Pristine Movers in TN unload both of our moving trucks. Let me start off by saying that Pristine Movers exceeded our expectations on two different moves here and we couldn't be happier with the way things turned out both times. We had the best of experiences with Shane Katz, the owner of Pristine Movers and his crew (Landon, etc). We found him to be highly experienced, very skilled, very hard working, trustworthy and I'd highly recommend him and his company for any of your moving needs. The crew he provided were also honest hard working very experienced skilled people that we trusted with all our valuable possessions. We couldn't have been any happier with them on the two occasions we used them and I'd use them again in a heartbeat. They were very careful with every aspect of moving all our possessions and were also very careful of our new home. If you're looking for the best moving company in middle TN, you can trust Pristine Movers for all aspects of your move. Here's the longer version with more details of our move... We originally called several different moving companies in middle TN (some with very good reviews here on Yelp) and after not being called back or not feeling good about these companies after talking to them on the phone, we came across a small company "Pristine Movers" owned by Shane Katz. Unlike other companies we called, he actually picked up the phone and talked to us, and always called or messaged us back promptly when we had questions. We had two full moving trucks that needed to be unloaded and they were filled with everything from very heavy large steel rolling tool cabinets that were filled with tools (600+ lbs each), a few large 800+ lb safes, various large tools and equipment, large floor to ceiling steel cabinets, lots of furniture, TV's, appliances, motorcycles, etc. Our new home has 6 steps to get into it, and there are many steps down to the basement and many steps up to the loft, so it wasn't an easy move. There was a lot of bulky heavy shop equipment going into the basement, which in itself seemed very challenging to me, but they got everything unloaded and placed where it was supposed to be without any damage to our doors, walls, furniture, equipment, etc. Pristine Movers exceeded our expectations for being trustworthy, hard working, accurate, careful, timely, courteous, mindful, and getting the job done in the shortest amount of time humanly possible. Shane, Luke, Eric, and Landon went above and beyond to move us to our new home. They were careful with our belongings and had the muscle to move some really heavy pieces. They helped us hook up our new appliances trouble shooting several problems along the way and even found a way to move our piano through a tight squeeze to where we wanted it to live. We used U Pack to take our stuff from California to Hendersonville TN (I also Highly recommend them). We used Pristine movers to unload 1 1/2 trailors of typical household stuff (Furniture, tool cabinets, clothes, beds and more boxes than anyone should need). Tey did an awesome job. They were fast, efficient and very careful with our possessions. They put stuff exactly where needed with no complaints. No one was hanging out on their phones or taking excessive breaks (as was the case on the California end with a different company).
