That was until my last cleaning. It has taken me a long time to write this review particularly because of life and particularly because I really didn't want to- but here goes. I went in for a cleaning and will admit I was overdue. I was called in by a younger hygienist who made a point to tell me she hadn't been working long. Ok? On examination she screamed oh my god is that popcorn?!? Did you eat popcorn on your way here?!? I was incredibly embarrassed. Then she checked for pockets in my gums and pushed herself away from my chair and said I need to get them to make an estimate and left the room. She came back and said I don't think I should even do the cleaning because you're going to need so much more. I looked confused and she said she could do it if I really wanted but it would really be a waste of time in her opinion. She then asked if I wanted to look at a kids picture book about stages of dental disease. I was done!!!! I didn't know what to say so I started to laugh partly to keep from crying and she asked me what I was laughing at. I said you know what- I'm done. I unclipped the bib and walked out. While sitting in my car trying to compose myself before driving home- the manager followed me out to ask what happened. I explained everything and mentioned I kinda have a fear of the dentist so this made it all so much worse. She told me the hygienist was newer and recommended I book an appointment with a more experienced hygienist. But this meant more waiting and talking time off work. Honestly it never happened. I'm sad about this because as I said this has always been a kind and gentle place that aside from a crown popping off did what I thought was good work.

I did my initial visit here and had a great experience with x-rays, assessment, and was reassured. I have voiced having some anxious feelings about going to the dentist and was constantly reassured in my initial visit. I came today for a deep cleaning. The lady who was going to do my cleaning came in and introduced herself. She went from one patient, took her gloves off, and came straight to me. I politely asked if she could wash her hands before starting on me and asked if the equipment laid out was new. After replacing the equipment because I pointed out what looked like dried blood on something, she became very short with me. I apologized and explained how I had a previous infection at a previous facility that was dismissed -- trying to articulate why I get so nervous regarding cleanliness. She said she would also be dismissive of me and proceeded to tell me she is so "frustrated" with me. She started throwing her hands around me and telling me she's been doing this for 20 years and claimed I was telling her how to do her job. I tried to tell her I just wanted reassurance but she was far too angry so I made the decision to leave. I made the decision to leave because I did not feel safe in that confrontation, let alone in a situation where she would be using sharp tools in my mouth. She followed me out repeatedly telling me to go. I am not a confrontational person and I also work in healthcare. I would never treat any other human being that way, let alone a patient. Her demeanor was very aggressive despite me speaking to her in a calm and quiet manner. I never raised my voice nor did anything to provoke the kind of sudden rage that came from her. Aside from that individual, the people at the front desk and the dentist I saw initially were very kind. Not sure if it was an off day for that person but I would really recommend skipping this location if your concerns are cleanliness and decent care.

About seven hours later, I received a text asking if I could come in at 8:30 AM for the repair. I went in and was out in less than 20 minutes with my smile fully restored. My 4th consultation was with Dr. Christopher Henninger at North County Cosmetic and Implant finished that search. His team took the necessary X-rays, which determined that I was a candidate for implants. After our conversation Dr Henninger understood what I wanted to accomplish. It is simple to say that I wanted a beautiful smile but along with that smile comes the ability to eat healthy, chew food properly, feel good about myself, improve my attitude, improve social confidence, and something I've wanted to do for a long time but my smile and dental condition prevented me from doing. That is to publish my own music. At 79 years old I wanted to be very careful selecting the proper dental team that would make me feel comfortable now and the rest of my life, so I did my "Due Diligence" and made the decision with no regrets. My procedures consisted of the following; My upper full denture was replaced with a full arch bridge of new Zirconium/Ceramic supported by implants. My lower procedure required extractions replaced by a full arch bridge of new Zirconium/Ceramic supported by implants. These procedures were all done in-office using IV anesthesia or Nitrous Oxide administered by Dr. Henninger. He made sure that I was comfortable, relaxed, and without pain. Ali, team leader and one of the many ladies of the team, informed me that they have financial advice and assistance within the office, which I took advantage of. Other members of the team include Claire, Mari, 2 Haleys, Bella, Jasmine, Bethany, Ashlee, and Katy. They are all part of the practice of "Complete Health Dentistry", which focuses on the "Oral-Systemic-Connection", the relationship between your mouth and the rest of your body. I am a strong believer in this practice. As for the office itself, it is gorgeous in appearance and 3D state-of-the-art in depth beyond my explanation. Dr. Christopher Henninger and team have a warm, friendly, and comfortable environment to fulfill your dental care needs. I have been self-conscious of my mediocre smile ever since an unfortunate childhood accident broke and chipped my front teeth and over the years the problem became worse. Thanks, Dr. Henninger, for your unique ability to listen and understand your patient's rationale for implants and genuine interest in total mental and physical outcome.
