I've been coming here for over 15 years. They have the best staff and the most up to date technology and painless airflow cleanings.

This place has really good reviews, but I had a very strange experience. I have jaw issues and was really looking for a dentist I could stay with. I chose to try this place because of the good reviews and the fact that they use laser dentistry (meaning less time in the chair.) My first appointment went really well. I saw the male doctor. He was funny, I liked him. He understood my jaw issues. He took the 3d X-rays and did a thorough exam. Then he listed around three teeth in order of priority that I needed work on. Afterwards, we set up my next appointment to fill the highest priority tooth before it turned into a root canal situation. I was happy and thought I'd finally found my dentist. When I returned thinking I was simply getting the cavity filled by him, all of a sudden, his wife was there taking over my appointment. Instead of having a short appointment for my cavity, she did a whole new full examination. She kept going over my 3D x-rays and whispering something to the assistant, which she never told me what she was finding. Afterwards, she came up with a whole new set of teeth that I needed work on, and not the ones he wrote down, which I was really confused by! The one good thing was she finally did fill the cavity very quickly with the laser and no anesthetic. Finally, even though I told her about my jaw/tmj issues, she insisted on cramming the intraoral x-ray device into my mouth, which the first dentist did not do at all. It really hurt and was difficult for me, but she didn't really care, because she was more focused and happy about her own accomplishment of getting a successful X-ray. I thought, well at least it's done, but then she said she would be doing the same thing again the following week and retaking the X-ray! The device really jacked my jaw for a couple of weeks afterwards. Even if I wanted to go back - which I was not going to do anyway after that - I would not have been able to go to the follow up appointment the next week because of that. read more

I don't think I can trust this dentist. Started my appointment criticizing me for taking medication for my mental health problems when that has nothing to do with teeth or why I was there. The dentist did take detailed x-rays but started over-diagnosing me and saying I have all these issues going on when I saw another dentist a month ago, where I was in the clear. Then after pointing out all these large things, we discussed for a long time about getting my wisdom teeth pulled out. Which then lead to billing saying the anesthesia would be $900/hr. Why waste my time to then say insurance wont cover the treatment plan unless you think fear will make me give out my money like that? read more

So after discovering this whole new technology of lasers for dentistry, I sent my husband off to his first dentist appointment here. He reported a great experience with Dr. Sakaria and encouraged me to make an appointment. I hate going to the dentist but given that he really liked the dentist and the possibility of less anxiety with lasers, I made the appointment. I met Dr. Enlgert and he had a very relaxed demeanor... he explained my X-ray scans and the course of action for my problem wisdom tooth. Well, I ended up with a full cleaning, exam, and a wisdom tooth extraction. I also discovered some other issues that I will have to return for but I must admit this was the gentlest tooth extraction I've ever had. He didn't even have to crack my tooth- in fact, I have a new souvenir, lol. I'm back in a week to remove stitches but Dr. Sakaria spoke to me about my concerns with taking pain meds, antibiotics and even followed up that evening with me to check on how I was doing. She insisted I call her personally if I had any problems or concerns. Overall, the practice is very clean, a good size and run by some friendly, relaxed dentists. Also, I never felt like they were rushing to get me out of the chair for another appointment. Which is admirable. Many times, at a dental practice you just feel like they are trying to hurry to get to the next patient. I will admit that I felt like I was their only patient that day, even though I was not. I'm excited to see how these new lasers work on future appointments. So far, I'm not scared away, I'll be back! read more

I cannot express how thankful I am to have found Dr. Sarkaria and Dr. Englert. My 11 year old had a dental emergency, right at the beginning of COVID shutdowns, and these doctors went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that she was taken care of even when it was extremely complicated for them to do so during such strict protocols. We called for an appointment when we saw one small blister on her gum that looked like it could have been an abscess. We decided to give Sycamore Dental a try since I had read good reviews about them. When we saw Dr. S and she reviewed the scans, we had no idea that my daughter was suffering from multiple infection sites and other complications due to a previous accident and several misdiagnoses by previous dentists. Dr. Sarkaria's knowledge and attention to detail showed that my daughter needed treatment for infection and several extractions immediately and she took the time to explain all of our options and really cared that we understood and were able to voice our concerns and preferences. She even found where my daughter had fractured her jaw in the old accident, something that never showed up on any other doctors' scans! Her bedside manner was superb. My daughter has been through a lot of dental trauma and the time and care she took to speak so gently and positively to her meant so much to me. After coordinating with anesthesiologists and multiple other staff members during a time where almost no one was seeing patients, my daughter received the best care and we are just so thankful for everything. The rest of my family has since become patients and even though we all have different needs, we've each walked away from our treatments feeling like we really found the best of the best! We went to this Dental Office in 2010, because my daughter needed a Dentist that did Sedation. She had a severe fear of going to the Dentist to get her teeth checked. She needed a lot of work done. They were able to calm her fears and were so kind to her. She liked them so much, that even after she moved to Arizona, she traveled back to get her check ups and dental cleanings with them. My husband and I have always had regular dental check-ups and cleaning throughout our lives, but as we've grown older we seem to be developing more dental problems (along with other physical breakdowns!) We discovered Sycamore Dental practice on a walk with our dog by our house and decided to transfer our care to them (from our dentist far away and who is soon to retire) after an initial consultation with each of them (they are a husband-wife team). What is unique about this practice is: 1)They are very high-tech and have the latest equipment and technology including CT scans and using laser for fillings (no need for novocaine numbing unless the treatment is quite extensive) 2)They perform regular dental care AND more extensive surgery like root canals and implants and are comfortable and competent doing so 3) They have an excellent, professional, and compassionate staff who have been with them a LONG time (always a good sign of good management) 4) They are proactive in addressing problems early vs our old dentist who seemed to wait until there was an obvious problem. 5) They are meticulous in their work 6)They are great educators and willing to spend time with you to explain just what and why they are doing what they are in your situation. 6) Their dental hygienist Bethany who does your teeth cleaning with this special high-tech method is AMAZING. My teeth have NEVER been so clean after a cleaning. 7)They are very good at keeping you up to date with reminders and are very responsive when you reach to the office for anything 8)They are very compassionate, humane, and kind-hearted dentists. They even call you at home after extensive procedures to see how you are doing! The down side to great dental care is that it is not cheap. They do accept some dental plans but we don't have any dental insurance so we must pay for everything out of pocket. However, we are very grateful to have found them and hopefully, with their help, we will keep our teeth until we die. read more

I've had 3 appointments here. As a person that hates going to the dentist, let me just say the laser is a game changer! I had an appointment this morning to have 2 fillings done, one 3 surface and one 2 surface including removing an old filling. Started work at 8:15 and done by 9:15. Literally ZERO pain. It's so cool. Dr. E is always cool to talk to and the whole practice is awesome. Texting for appointments is always super easy and convenient. Update: My wife and 4.5 year old daughter are now patients. Dr. Sakaria did 2 small fillings on my daughter with the laser. She experienced no pain and was comfortable the entire time. When another dentist says it's where they go and that this office can do anything, you know it has to be good. I have to be honest I was skeptical at first, but it's the REAL DEAL! I drove all the way down from Newport Beach to have my fillings taken care of. That Solea laser is as promised! No pain, no needles, just a quick in an out appointment and I was getting right back to work as soon as I walked out of the practice. Let me start by saying I have the worst anxiety about going to the dentist. They made me feel comfortable. I felt more like family than a patient by the time I was done. My anxiety calmed way down. This place is great I had a pretty bad case of dental phobia, put it off since I was a child! My first visit was just a consultation with Dr. Sarkaria, she is very gentle and knowledgeable! Followed up the same night of consultation to make sure I picked up my prescription for the infection make sure I was feeling alright, I was needing to get a broken infected lower molar extracted... and Dr. Englert is awesome was in there less than an hour got past my fear of the dentist and he made very good conversation to keep me distracted also let me listen to my music with my wireless earbuds! It was so quick and I'm all honesty no pain whatsoever! He called me the same night of my extraction and left a message to make sure everything was going okay and if I needed anything to call him on his cell phone! That's awesome care for his patients! They accept care credit also which is great for us who can't unfortunately afford full coverage health insurance. Very reasonable prices, awesome technology including the new Solea lasers! Everybody here is very friendly and knowledgeable I'll for sure be coming back for my dental needs from now on! It makes me sad to write this review but my frustration has gotten the better of me. In the past when I have broken a tooth I went to see Dr. Englert and he pulled it for about $250. Now I have another broken tooth and they wanted to charge me an extra $150 for an exam and x rays. They already have an x ray of that tooth from the last time I was there but insist on me getting another one. Good dentist bad customer service. I guess I will be finding another dentist, I shouldn't be surprised everyone else nickel and dimes you to death why should they be any different. read more

Such a kind and compassionate husband and wife team! I am dental phobic and have come in twice to see them for urgent dental care. Both times I was treated with respect and in a nonjudgmental manner. None of this garbage, "do you floss daily, oh,and why not?" I always received from past dentists. They called me afterwards the same day of treatment, both times just to check in on me and invite me to call 24/7 if I had any difficulties. I am very, very impressed with their sincere effort to put me at ease and make me comfortable. I am a devoted fan of this team now. You can't do any better.
