I have been a patient with Dr. Coffler and her wonderful team for a couple years now. I had so much work that needed to be taken care of and I was so hesitant to go to the dentist because I felt embarrassed by how bad my teeth actually were. When I came to this team, they made me feel comfortable and as though there was no judgment. I worked with Dr. Coffler to come up with a game plan. She wanted to make me get the most out of my dentistry.She always explained everything so thoroughly and in such a caring manner. I had so much work on that plan but she offered to take care of the unsightly cavities that were on the front of my teeth in order to help me not only looks good but FEEL good. Another thing is they are always making sure I'm comfortable...from the dark glasses, to the pillow under my neck and knees to offering headphones to listen to music if needed. Who likes to go to the dentist? I didn't! After moving to SD some time ago we were at a loss for finding a new dentist. Giving Dr Coffler a try based on what a neighbor told us was the best decision we've ever made. To start off you are greeted warmly in the office when you arrive. Once there I have never waited more then 4 to 5 minutes to be seated in the chair and be seen by the hygienist or Dr Coffler herself. The hygienist is friendly and very gentle when it comes to cleaning, like another said. no cleaning or cavity shaming to make you feel bad. Dr Coffler is such a warm friendly woman, always happy to see you and concerned for how you are doing. She is very knowledgable and has helped me much through some very tough dental work that I had to have done, can you say "full mouth reconstruction" Though she did not do the work she was very involved in referring me and consulting with me on the work I was having done. I am AFRAID of dentists and have a bad history with previous dentists. I avoid them and my last bad experience was 6 years ago. Today, I am no longer afraid!! I just got done with my first visit at Dr. Coffler's and it was more than I hoped for! Alice at the front was wonderful and kind and since my insurance is renewing and I can choose something new, she offered to look at my options and suggest one. How kind is that? Then Melody the hygienist! What an angel! She cleaned my teeth and it didn't hurt!! First time ever!! She's so encouraging and gave me some advice and a teeth kit ! I'm actually excited about getting my teeth and gums back to healthy! They said I still have time and I'm in my 60s!! Dr. Coffler couldn't be more kind. Did not try to upsell me (that's a first) even though I asked some cosmetic questions. She just told me that we should take care of the gum problems and then we can talk. Seriously! I do not recommend this dentist for two reasons: 1. She has a poor eye for detail, which is pretty important when it comes to fixing someone's teeth and smile. Three of the teeth she worked on look really good, but the other three are not good and do not look balanced. Maybe she was trying to give me the natural no-braces look. 2. Her staff did not properly check with my insurance company and then told me a $400 night guard would be covered at 90%. Turns out it wasn't covered at all and she then told me I needed to pay for the full $400 when I didn't even want the night guard in the first place but thought I would give it a try when it would only be $40. Basically she pulled the classic bait-n-switch. read more

Dr. Coffler and her staff are nothing short of fantastic. When I first needed her help, she's the one who called me back and took care of me at 7am on a Saturday morning. I have gone back a few times since moving here and love it every time! I normally loathe going to the dentist, but Dr. Coffler and the other employees make me feel welcome, and they help me forget about my fears and annoyances with the dentist. They do a great job of explaining all the different options, as well as talking you through each procedure. The prices are great too. I thought they'd be a lot more in California but I was pleasantly surprised! Very impressed with Dr. Coffler and all the staff members. I have been a patient here for the past four years and have done procedures ranging from general teeth cleaning to wisdom teeth removal. Today I had my appointment with Dr. Coffler and it was an absolute breeze. I wish I had done it sooner because it looks/feels great and was not painful or stressful. The part that really stood out to me, however, was the way she understood and handled my stress.
