This review is long overdue. I found Crossings Dental 5 years ago when I walked in for a second opinion. I had an estimate of $2k in dental work from La Costa Dentistry in which the dentist there basically told me my teeth were rotten - I needed deep cleaning, I had periodontal disease, I needed a root canal ... and all this fabricated bologne which I all fell for... So that day when I arrived at Crossing Dental ... I sat in that chair nervous to meet Dr Murasko because I was expecting him to give me the same opinion and take my $$ ... He retook my xrays and told me my teeth were fine and tried to send me on my way. I refused to leave and didnt believe him ... because throughout my life I was made to believe my teeth sucked and was always given periodic deep cleanings. Dr Murasko looked me in the eye and told me he would LOVE to take my money ... but my teeth were healthy. And BAM ! From that day on we built a relationship based on trust. I have been to many dental practices over the years, and this one stands out as one of the best I've been to and plan to stay! Started here back in 2012 as a referral from my husband who has been here even longer. I can always appreciate their professional customer service and efficient process of checking you in to dealing with my insurance and billings. It seems that many dental practices can have issues in this area, and have never experienced it here. If an issue does ever arise, I know that I can count on them to remedy the situation. The staff here are alert to your visit and keeping you comfortable. Dr. Murasko is kind and communicates his concerns to any of your dental issues with care and appreciate his approach to alternatives. I had a small front tooth chip earlier this year and rather then doing the most expensive procedure, he offered a more budget friendly solution that has been holding up well since I had it done over 6 months ago now. Tina at the front desk is such a wonderful and caring person! She has been here years now and takes care of checking you in and dealing with your insurance and billings. I have had nothing but good experiences w/ Dr. Murasko and his office. I have had really bad experiences w/ prior offices; one culminated in a settled law suit, so I would expect the next dentist to be wary of me, but Dr. Murasko introduced himself as "Hi, I'm Mike!" (I'm in my 60's, he's not) which felt so refreshing and unpretentious. His care has been tremendous. His staff is great, and his office manager hugs me. I recently had an appliance created by him to stop sleep apnea. We're still figuring out if it works, but he has been having me back in to the office for several follow ups to make sure it fits correctly. This is so much better than the CPAP machine. If anyone didn't have a good experience with this office, it was a one-off...things happen. He's worth your time. read more

Do not recommend this place they did more work than necessary. I was supposed to get 1 crown on another tooth. Needed a cavity because i needed a crown on another removed, then crown. Instead, they grinded down tooth that needed a crown, leaving my tooth with the cavity in pain...other things things were done bone grafting which wasn't necessary when my tooth couldn't be saved had work done at another dentist so do yourself a favor take the time and look at reviews customers don't post unless it's true read more

I recently moved to Oceanside which required us to find a new dental office. Initially everything was good, staff and the new crown went well. Then the billing issues started with being charged for services not billed to my dental insurance carrier which has been great for years. They billed me separately for additional charges. I contacted Metlife which advised they were using expired and invalid ADA codes. One code was to pay for the gauze and other supplies, one for laser which was not required hence not billed to my insurance. I tried to give them time to rectify the poor billing practices. Now I have an issue with the new crown requiring a new dentist. Take note of my issues if you use this dental office. read more

This is an EXCELLENT Dentist and staff. I had a very bad experience with a horrible Dentist office where I live in Carmel Valley. My girlfriend recommended the Crossings and Dr. M, I was hesitant since it's about 25 minutes from me - but I was so turned off by the bad experience I had at the dentist office in Carmel valley (check out my other reviews if you want to know who to stay away from) that I was willing to make the trek. I am very glad I did. The Dentist is very personable, professional, and his staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. M is also good at what he does. I've had many dentists struggle getting to my back teeth, smash my lips with their hands, over medicate me - and Dr M was the opposite. Dr. Murasko has been my dentist for almost two years. I go for the normal teeth cleaning, and thats about it. However, recently I spoke to Dr. Murasko about about how I hate to smile because of a discolored front tooth from a root canal. He immediately showed concern and wanted to give me my smile back. After we went over my options I opted for the internal bleaching. My tooth was very stubborn but Dr. Murasko never gave up and I'm happy to say that for the first time in many years I smiled for pictures this last weekend. Thank God for Yelp! I found this Dentist, Dr. Morosco, based on excellent Yelp reviews. The picture on Yelp reminded me of Captain Americas red faced foe, but I'm so glad that didn't deter me. Dr. Morosco is the rare perfect Dentist who is young enough to know the latest and has new equipment, yet is experienced enough to know what is OK to watch and what needs to be fixed. The best thing is that he is honest. After hearing that I needed two crowns, at $450 each, from another Dentist, I went to Crossings for a second opinion. Dr. Morosco told me that, while I would probably need such work in the future, it wasn't needed yet. It might be 10 years before I need work done. He spent a considerable amount of time explaining and showing the x-rays and pictures to me. All of my Engineer minded questions were answered. For only $20 too. Dr. Murasko is the BOMB!! I have been seeing Dr. Murasko for about 5 years now and he is the best dentist I have had in my 44 years walking this earth. He has all the latest dental technology and I can tell he cares about his patients with the way he has treated me. He jokes that I am going to "put him out of business" since I never need actual work done on my teeth, just the regular cleanings and x-rays, as I do brush regularly, etc. But he never suggests any unwarranted procedures, and clearly shows you what is going on in your mouth, which thankfully is not much in my case. I've referred my wife and friends to him and they come back with the same glowing review that speaks to my experience with Dr. Murasko. Yes, I drive all the way from Los Angeles to Vista to come to this dentist. He's been my dentist now for over 7 years, because he's simply the best. His work is outstanding. To say that Dr. Murasko is awesome is an understatement. Let's talk first about his office - his staff is nearly as amazing as he is. His assistants are incredible, personable people that seriously care about your well-being. All of them put a singular emphasis on making you feel comfortable, welcome and respected - this isn't simply a job for them, they all show incredible compassion (let's be real, it usually hurts when you're at a dentist!) and consideration, making you feel as comfortable as possible. Tina, the receptionist that's in the office most of the time, is incredible. She cares, deeply, about everyone's well-being and will go far out of her way to make sure you're happy and comfortable. My first experience at Crossings Dental included an insane double root canal (long story) which was causing me unbearable pain. Not only was Tina amazingly friendly and helpful, she helped me get the lowest cost (I didn't have any insurance at the time) and the fastest and best treatment I could ask for - within just a day, she had me on a chair with Dr. Murasko, fixing problems that were causing me ungodly amounts of pain. This, of course, brings me straight to the doctor, among the greatest dentists I've ever met (and, unfortunately, I've met quite a few!). Ignoring that he's kind, friendly and cares deeply about his patients, Dr. Murasko goes well out of his way to make sure that you're as comfortable as possible and provides the best treatments I've ever experienced. Every experience I've had with him has been informative, comfortable and beyond effective. The doctor is also happy to explain what he's doing, and why he's doing it, which is incredibly soothing to scientific-minded people like myself. I know that nobody really enjoys going to see their dentist, but every time I see Dr. Murasko, there's no dread, no fear, and an extreme confidence that whatever needs to be done, he'll do better than anybody else. I came here awhile ago for a cleaning because it is conveniently located so close to my home. They told me that I needed to have a root canal done because of a cavity that wouldn't be possible to fill. I went to Ocean Ranch dentistry for a second opinion and the dentist there agreed and said I had a cavity, but also filled it with no problem. It's almost about a year later and I have no problems with the filling or that tooth. I also saved about $12,000 because I didn't get a completely "necessary" root canal. read more

At the beginning of the year, I went to Dr Murasko and when i left, my bite was hitting very high. I told him and he said to give it a couple of days to see if i got used to it. It really felt "off". The next day, my upper tooth above the crown totally cracked in half ( up the root). needless to say I did NOT want to go back to him. I had to have the tooth extracted and now the horrible cost of a bridge. The other thing i did not like with Dr Murasko is he kept calling me "hon" and "sweetie" like i was my 95 y/o grandmother. My husband has been seeing Dr. Murasko for several years; we were referred by his wonderful oral surgeon, Dr. Shelhamer. My husband is probably the worst dental patient ever. He has actual bitten one before. Yes, I said it. He is a 6'3", 300 pound baby when it comes to dealing with his mouth. Sadly, in 2009 he went to a unqualified dentist in L.A. to get a front tooth implant that went horribly wrong when the implant post they used was the wrong size, and they actually closed their doors shortly after, leaving my husband with no recourse and a gaping hole in the front of his mouth. The first time we met Dr. M, I knew he was in good hands. Although my husband was his usual brash self, instead of being scared away, Dr. M knew how to talk to him to settle his fears. It took a little over 6 months and many many visits, but my husband and Dr. M could now be best of friends, and he actually looks forward to his visits. As many others have said, he is very clear that a proper tooth and gum hygiene regime is what is going to save you in the long run. No matter how much repair work he does, if you don't brush and floss and maintain regular cleanings, it is all for not. We are just weeks away from my husbands "happy day" when he will be no longer without a front tooth after 4 years of embarrassment, procedures and thousands of dollars. I can't wait to see his smile again, and we owe that to Crossings Dental. Mike is a consummate professional and wants to make sure you are 100% satisfied and getting what you pay for. Went to Dr Murasko for a second opinion. He is not in my network of dentists but I trust his opinion an have seen him before. The other dentist wanted to do a crown, root canal, crown lengthening etc. Dr. M took some X-rays and determined that only a large filling was needed not all the other stuff the other dentist wanted to do. Had the work done with Dr M...tooth feels great. Dr M only does what is absolutely necessary - the other guys want to do everything your plan covers and more whether u need it or not! read more
