Kacy is big on progression and basically operates under the assumption that you can always go up in weight, which has pushed my strength up (especially hip thrusts and RDLs). It's small group training, which keeps the energy up because everyone's working at the same time. He'll keep you accountable and make sure you finish your sets and there's a decent chance you'll leave with a random nickname you didn't ask for but it does keep things entertaining. In my first month I've already seen measurable changes in strength and body composition, so it's been interesting to see the progress show up pretty quickly. I always seemed to over-strain something and end up injured, so I was pretty hesitant about jumping back into weight training after having a baby. That's when I decided to look for a personal trainer. From day one, I was impressed by Kacy's knowledge and expertise. He has this uncanny ability to gauge exactly how much I can lift just by watching me do a single set--which I'm guessing comes from years of experience, but it's still impressive to see in action. Here's the thing about Kacy that might throw you off at first: he often looks distracted, like he's not paying attention. But don't let that fool you! He's tracking everything--your form, your reps, your timing--and he'll call you out if you're slacking on your sets. It's actually kind of amazing how dialed in he is even when it doesn't look like it. If you're looking for a knowledgeable trainer who will push you and keep you accountable (even when you think he's not watching), Kacy's your guy. Highly recommend!

I liked the exercises she does, it's different than the other places I've been to. When I went, she had us use a step, so we were doing step aerobics type of exercises which I haven't done in about 10 years, but we had a full body workout by the end of the session. The studio can probably accommodate about 10 - 12 clients per class. I like that she is constantly keeping an eye on all of us to correct our form while we are exercising. In addition to the power workouts, she also does nutrition and offers Pilates, yoga, and Zumba classes so you can take care of yourself mind, body, and spirit!

But this is not a gym; it is a training facility where you work with trainers to tackle your physical goals. Next, this is about my trainer, Kevin Abandy. Kevin has been my trainer for exactly 8 weeks now and he is awesome! I made the decision to get a trainer after my birthday to truly invest in myself. You can invest in your own skills and education, but the return is almost always indirect. But with a trainer, specifically Kevin, I gained 8 lbs of muscle mass and lost 8% body fat (approx. 13-lbs of fat) after 8 weeks of training with him. Also, at the start of my training, I had back pain (from past injury to T12) and knee pains (from under the kneecap). Through Kevin's program and coaching, my pain has been reduced to near 0 with full mobility -- like squatting all the way down and up with 200-lbs of weight on my shoulders with no knee pain. I would give a 1-star review to keep it from getting crowded, but it would be hard for me to not tell others about the good that comes out of this place. My mom is 70 and she's training with Kevin too! And the story is the same for her... knee pains - GONE. Back pains - GONE. I don't have to worry about whether the squat rack is open or if the machine i want is taken. I don't have to think about what body parts to target. I just have to show up, do the exercises with everyone else and just focus on getting better at them. Everyone here is really nice and supportive especially the instructors Sherry and Vicky, and you'll definitely get stronger if you keep going. I typically go once or twice a week, it's all the exercise I realistically get nowadays and yet I've actually gotten noticeably better cardio and strength. If you're on the fence about it I'd say give it a try. The classes are honestly hard but you can take it at your own pace, and it only gets easier. One thing I love is that there's a sense of teamwork even if you're doing your own workouts. It makes me work harder seeing other people try hard. Overall definitely worth it

The first thing I noticed was how friendly both the staff and other exercisers were. The next thing I noticed was that the music was super fun (think 90s-early 2000s hits). Finally, I realized F45 was the best for me because there's so much variety and constant movement, I don't have a chance to get bored! I only have one day per week I can consistently commit to exercise, and the program/equipment is different each time. Shout out to Vickey and Berry, who are very encouraging and energetic.
