The floors and materials used in building the units are as cheap as can be and get damaged easily. Obviously nothing is real wood and it's all engineered.
The ventilation system is poor and transmits odors strongly.
I have lived in multiple units over a few years and in one, had pest issues twice despite keeping the unit very clean, at least once instance due to poor construction. In the other instance, it took weeks for a pest control person to arrive.
In both units, there have been issues with the plumbing that remained unsolved for months on end. There were long term water heating issues at one point and for the entire time I lived there, a permeating odor from the sink, ice machine and disposals that maintenance said they didn't notice or know how to fix.
To their credit, the units are pretty quiet. Depending on where you live, you may either nothing from your neighbors at all, or faint noises. I have never heard animals or children, despite there being many in the building, but it may depend on your nearby neighbors.
Mail system and common areas (roof, gym) are modest but decent, however I would not consider this place worth the price if you don't regularly use them.
The management and staff are nice on a personal level, but ultimately it's run by a big corporation that doesn't care about you when it comes to actual issues.
Would not recommend living here unless it seems perfect for you, but especially not on a long lease until you've determined your unit is comfortable, as things can vary strongly unit to unit. read more
