It use to be in person with an instructor who was off script a bit, but brought humor and stole a few hours of my time. Now the facilitation of the CPR class in current day is in my opinion improved in that it is taught from a digital instructor/video and took less than an hour of my time. For people like me who are just needing to brush-up on skills I already know, this is perfect. If you have never taken a CPR class before, it might seem a little strange and you might seek out a class taught with an actual human in front of you. Just understand what you may or may not be getting as to instructors/instruction and book what you might be most comfortable with. Although at the end of the class, there is an opportunity to ask a question to a human, you go the entire class working with others n the class and being watched over cameras but not by an actual human. Again, for a refresh, this works well for me. Efficient, checks the box of my refresh and relatively fast. CPR Society is easy to book classes on-line, electronically driven with manuals on-line and easy to complete with lots of time slots to make to make an appointment work around your schedule.

Not the best company! Find another program if you can!…read more The space they use to teach the class barely has enough room to practice CPR. It's basically a room meant for business meetings with a big conference table, and you just work with the mannequins in the corner. It's in an older office building with barely functional AC and other business suites that share the same entrance. There's hidden fees like the AHA BLS Manual that's not included in the class fee, which they don't really disclose is "mandatory" to attend class per the AHA until after you already register for the class. You can get it online or a print version. It may or may not be enforced that you actually have the manual in hand however. They also rescheduled my class, which seems to happen a lot based on other reviews which is very inconvenient and unreliable. I kept receiving reminders for my original class time, so I called to confirm my actual time and they were kind of rude on the phone. My instructor was great though, and kept the class short and sweet.

I need this card for my employment and for my school and now I'm on the brink of being put on leave due their delays for not having my ecard in This. They need to realize that this delay can cause people their job and money spent taking this class for them not to keep their word on giving you your card.

I was hoping for a great class based on the reviews, and the itinerary listed. However, the class was not ideal. * Only practiced CPR on adult and infant manikins once with no practice for child CPR procedures. * No hands-on training for AED use, choking response, or first aid procedures. * Approximately 30 students with only 3 adult and 3 infant manikins available for training. They appeared to be unprepared for the number of attendees as seats were slowly coming into an already packed room for each new person that came through the door. This created a disorganized atmosphere, and gave the impression that they did not know how many students had registered for the class. * Instructor was often difficult to hear due to soft speaking and noise outside of the classroom. * Assistant was unavailable to assist instructor in observing the hands-on CPR practice stating that they were doing a test during the class. * Many participants appeared to be performing compressions incorrectly, as the feedback lights were frequently red or off, indicating improper compression depth, hand placement, or technique. Nothing was corrected. * Text message notifications repeatedly appeared on the presentation screen, including one with derogatory language. I found this to be unprofessional, distracting, and awkward. * Course was advertised as 2 hours but ended after about 1.5 hours. * Final material was rushed, leaving little time for questions or additional practice. * Left feeling unprepared and disappointed with the overall quality of the training. I understand that unexpected issues can arise, but I am disappointed by the lack of organization, instruction, and structure in a class that teaches critical lifesaving skills. I plan to get better training in a CPR, AED, and First Aid class somewhere else.

I didn't love that because it felt like an advertisement for something other than what I was there for. I have had my BLS for years, in addition to my ACLS and PALS. This was a renewal for me, and I'm very comfortable with my abilities. As a healthcare professional that has coded dozens of patients in the ER I found a lot of his information irrelevant and more geared towards the everyday layperson that could potentially be performing CPR at home, hence the emphasis on mouth to mouth breathing verses ambu bags. So I would recommend this if you are JUST learning how to do compressions for the first time, but if you're an experienced professional this may feel like an insult.

Having taken similar certifications through various organizations and companies for BCLS (Basic…read moreCardiac Life Support), I can confidently say this was the most comprehensive and insightful instruction I've received to date. In many standard surface-level training approaches I have encountered in security and other corporate settings, Wilbur provided deeper context in teaching real-world applications for scenarios that are often overlooked in typical curriculum. He also equipped me with a clearer understanding of anatomical considerations and response adaptations. Thank you again for your time and thoughtful instruction. I absolutely would retake your class.

Exceptional Trainer! Excellent Course! Well worth the time…read moreand money! Throughout the training, I had A LOT OF QUESTIONS! Some were stupid due to fears and past experiences of shock, while others were more complex and geared toward specialized situations. Yet, all of them were answered effectively with the use of mannequins, other willing victims (class participants) or illustrations on the board. The course involved tons of repetitive hands on instruction to the point that I felt absolutely confident in taking the lead when pairing up to administer a life saving skill on a dummy, or simply respond aloud to questions. I'm not only grateful for the instructor, Robert Hoey; aka Captain, but also for my awesomely accommodating classmates! Nobody acted disgusted or irritated by my overzealous need to get my concerns addressed, (not even my teen age daughter who attended the course with me and was late to a party as a result). That's how engaging and impressive the course was!!! Many of the skills we learned involving first aid were so Incredibly easy and time-saving that most of us sat there dumbfounded about the simplicity of them! Definitely nothing like the complex bs knots and splints that I tried to learn before. Despite my overall confidence in what I gained from this course, I have no hopes that someone will befall trauma or medical emergency, but if they do, I trust that the days of shock and bewilderment once crippling my ability to help will be a thing of the past. ~ Linnea :)
