Don't be put off by the dated website. They know what they're doing and will get you where you need to be. Suzie was so helpful. I had a lot of questions about if this class would meet requirements for an out-of-state hospital system. She was able to answer all of them quickly and courteously. Jason's class was great. Focused on what we need to know without belaboring extraneous information. They respect your time. The classes are an excellent value - the best price in Las Vegas for BLS/ACLS renewal that I could find. They send out your AHA card 20 minutes after you leave which is much appreciated. I took my initial BLS/ACLS class at Flex Ed 2 years ago. Prism is more efficient and a better deal. Flex Ed was extremely thorough, which was helpful when I was just beginning clinical rotations. The renewal course at Prism hits the important points and sends you on your way, great for me after 2 years working. I 100% recommend and would absolutely return for my next renewal if I wasn't leaving Vegas. read more

Great class and even better teacher. Brandon was great, he cracks jokes here and there to make the class fun/engaging. Be on time! If class starts at 10 please do not come in at 10:30.... It prolongs the class - all of us have to rewatch or redo everything because you weren't on time. Loved this class! This was my first time renewing my CPR certification as a nurse. I didn't realize I had only a week left to re-certify. I asked my co-workers and everyone recommended Prism! I'm so happy they did because I was able to find a class opening soon and it was affordable. I would come back again rather than taking the free CPR class they offer at my facility. Fun and engaging class. Getting the first aid certificate was a pain though but the cpr card came 2 days later.

I really enjoy prism. Jason was my instructor for both PALS and ACLS. He is very knowledgeable, is always down to further explain topics, and makes the class enjoyable. It's nice that he tailors his class to his students and will move slower/fast depending on needs of the students. I have gone to Prism for my CPR training for years. Instructors have always been phenomenal and have made the class enjoyable. For my past experiences here, I would rate 5 stars. However, I recently went to renew my certification again and had a new instructor. Her name was Nora and she stated this was her first time teaching at this location. Class was scheduled from 1000-1300. She arrived 15 minutes late and kept us there until 1330. Everyone's time is valuable and should be respected. Her class and teaching style was very disorganized. She never apologized or acknowledged for keeping us there 30 minutes past the end time. She told us right before our test at the end of class that our test was "open book and open note" but never told us to take notes during the class nor did she ever provide us with paper to take notes. She also never told us when or how we would receive our ecard. She was pleasant but I am glad that I have taken this class a few times before or I probably would have been confused. If I return to Prism again I will, unfortunately, ensure that she is not my instructor. read more

I had to take the CPR/BSL course for my BSN program. The website took a second to navigate through, but booking was easy and doesn't require a payment until you arrive for your scheduled class. Brandon was my instructor. He provided a lot of light hearted humor which made the course much more animated and exciting- at least as exciting as a certification course can be. Certification classes can make people anxious but Brandon's easygoing attitude made it comfortable for everyone and the amount of participation was surprising to see, as I'm used to seeing shy people at these courses. The small class size (10/11 people per class) made it easy for him to keep track of our progress during the course and ensure that we were all on the same page. The course is listed as 4 hours, but don't let that i intimidate you, my class started at 10 and we got out a little before 1. Brandon wasn't in a rush either, he reviews each section clearly and always makes time for questions. He's also clearly experienced and has done this several times before, but he knows how to instruct without just following a script. He also assured us all the equipment is sanitized thoroughly and I even saw him taking the time to do that as we took the test. Everyone in the class seemed to understand the material and breeze through the test, plus Prism personally ensures that cards go out shortly after your session ends. Super quick and easy, but still just as informative as any other CPR/BSL class I've taken. Definitely worth the $55 and my time, I'll be back when I have to get re-certified! read more

There's no real way to make cpr and basic life support information fun and entertaining, but some how prism manages to make it bearable. They keep things lively by their quick witty and sarcastic instructors who skip right down to the important stuff and keep things real and as interesting as you can really get with cpr. I appreciate the jokes and sarcasm as to it's my second language. Funny snarky remakes that would have otherwise made myself in my head are bluntly and boldly spoken out loud by our instructor which has perfect timing to bring my short lived attention span right back to the material in an otherwise corny and boring America heart video. They also make testing a breeze and help you really understand the material and information in a way that you'll remember. I can't recall what I studied in college but I can definitely tell you I remember some funny jokes that my professor told me in class 5 years ago. Same concept is applied: you take a boring subject and fill it with sarcastic jokes and straight to the point concepts and make it as entertaining as possible, that's how the material is retained... for me at least anyways I'm always glad to do my certification here. If you need a renewal or bls/cpr cert done, definitely do it at prism. read more

As a renewal BLS student, I am not the biggest fan of going over every single piece of BLS curriculum ad nauseum, when the entire class is a renewal (of course, I understand the necessity when there are first-timers). Brandon was my hero. He made the class succinct without missing important or crucial tidbits and review material. Additionally, he was an entertaining and extremely humorous instructor! The whole process was smooth - reserve a date, show up, check-in, pay, take the class, pass the skills/test, check-out, and get your card. Easy!
