Once inside you are in pub heaven with a traditional looking lounge at the front, you almost walk into the bands as you enter the pub but there's plenty of seating to enjoy the music from a safe distance too. You pass through another section before the place opens up to the main bar at the back. It has quite a continental feel to it, and I can't believe I didn't immediately spot the massive vats at the back - I was too busy admiring the statues on the bar. And it's difficult not to be tempted by the selection of beers when in a brewery and I didn't regret my choice of Achtung. They also serve food and while the main menu is limited to sausage rolls and pies you can also order pizza or sushi which is delivered directly to your table by local takeaways. I'll definitely be back, a real gem.

Their Early Doors IPA was always likely to be my favourite, but I also enjoyed Dark Matter, 2 O'clock Ordinary and their Weissbier called Achtung! Good brewery. We stayed long enough to warrant some food. The burgers looked delicious, but we decided to go for 3 snacks for a tenner. This meant we could both have a snack of our choice and also share some chips. I enjoyed the luxury fish fingers! (No Captain Birdseye here!)

After some time guzzling pitchers of Pimms Cup in the garden, we made our way inside for the show. Hats off to these performers. For the Friday evening Cabaret you have to book ahead which only cost £5 up to the last 2 weeks before which is when it goes up to £8 and you get to watch some weird and wonderful cabaret acts during the course of the evening. As far as the acts were concerned it was a bit hit and miss and I was expecting a few more. We had a hula hooper and a contortionist which was insane to watch!! An aerial hoop act which was impressive but quite short, a juggler who probably didn't need to be there and the finale .... Rayguns Look Real Enough who were a comedy music mashup duo who were fabulous!! Highlight of the evening! As a while though I think the acts were a but hit and miss and unfortunately the compere wasn't going down too well either!! Oh well!! But the evening was incredibly fun and once they cleared away the stage it turned into a dance floor and the DJ played an array of hits from 50's through to today with a lot of emphasis on 80's and 90's hits which were great to sing and dance along to. Before the show started we did have a table so we could eat food and there was your usual selection of burgers and salads etc. I went for the veggie falafel burger and to be honest it was extremely bland and needed a hell of a lot more tzatiki and condiments to improve it's flavour! It's great that I was subjected to the usual fried vegetable burger and there was a mushroom risotto on the menu but the burger definitely needed more flavour. It was a bit more like mushed falafel and falafel needs to be a little more grainy I think!! The chips were good though, hand cut, crispy edges and soft in the middle - mmm!! As for drinks they do have a selection of ales on tap, some local, a porter and a stout that were exciting some and all the other usual things a pub can offer. Price wise I think it was pretty reasonable. All in all we did have a great evening and I probably would go again. The place is new so it is probably still getting it's sea legs a little but do pop down for an alternative evening of circus acts and then fun music to dance the night away to - we stayed so late it was a night bus home!! Always a good sign!! Xyz

It is now in the capable hands of a young couple called Derek and Lucy, in the last six months that they have been there, they have got Quiz Nights on Tuesdays and Killer Pool on Sundays and have the occassional Poker Nights. Derek is welcoming and Lucy although in the background is just as welcoming. After being a local there for a long time I was disgruntled when the big divorce was on and moved on to other places but I never say never to not give a place a second chance ......and boy am I glad. The crowd are a great mix and sometimes when you want to have a ball this is the place to go but also you can go in there and quietly mind your own and no-one will trouble you. If you think you are good at pool there are plenty of people to test you including Derek and at 50p a throw you can have a brain teaser of a game. There is a great Juke Box especially if you love the classics and again for a bargain 2.00 for 9 plays there is plenty to choose from. If darts is your game then again this is the place, there is a nice little side section for the dart board where if like me, no-one can see you hit everything but the board! Anybody walking in new will not feel out of the zone there is always someone to welcome you to the Talbot any time I have gone in there I always get into a conversation with someone else. There is a good crowd in there and no one gets slated for their opinions. If you need to stay a while in Acton The Talbot offers rooms and when it is so near over ground and under ground stations you can't go wrong. IT IS A FRONT ROOM WITH FRIENDS (old and new)!!!!!!

As I stepped out of the tube station late at night in Acton Town, my first thought was 'What am I…read moredoing here?' I was entering an Australian/Polish suburbia of what initially looked drastically lacking in nightlife, character and atmosphere. I eventually made it to the high street and things looked a little livelier. My destination was the Chatsworth bar. Outside was littered with young gents dressed in t-shirt, jeans, and they were all smoking like troopers. On entering the establishment, I noted that the bar was dominated with Aussie's. This didn't bother me in the slightest as our friends from down under tend to know how to party. The atmosphere was jovial and the DJ was spinning some classics house hits that soon had the small dance floor bouncing. A mixture of well-dressed ladies to those that were casually adorned, danced flirtatiously with guys who for the most part didn't dress to impress. The real bonus in the Chatsworth is the cheap drink. A good Havana Especial rum and coke came to £3, whilst a 25ml shot of tequila was only £2.50. Bargain! The décor is simple and clean whilst the well stocked bar is served by very efficient bar staff. If you want to find a quiet spot for a smooch, behind the bar is a large conservatoire with long tables, and darkened surroundings. Here because of a friends leaving party on the Friday, I was told on good authority that the place was rammed to the rafters on a Saturday and a much better night. Saturday nights must be indeed special as the Friday atmosphere was impressive. Although I wouldn't take the long journey from Camden just to drink in the Chatsworth, if I was a local, it would definitely be on my list of regular drinking holes.

Third, the staff- from the time we entered to the time we left- were all friendly. We ate in the upstairs dining room, which has lovely high ceilings and a large room with dark wood tables and typical pub seating. The kitchen is upstairs and we got a table next to it but surprisingly and pleasantly discovered later we didn't smell like food. Now the drink. My husband and I split two bottles of a bottle cider, a peach flavour I think, and it was quite good. Lots of drinking options including cocktails. Now the food: As a veghead, I was happy at the variety of pizza, main and tapas options. The food prices are a bit high, especially for the tapas, so I ordered the least expensive veg main, the broad bean purée and broccoli rabe flatbread. My husband got a spicy pizza with nduja sausage. My dish arrived fairly quickly and I was confused at first; I thought it was the wrong order. It comes as a soup with stewed rabe and two pieces of crispy bread like pappadam. This is not how I envisioned flatbread: food atop a slice of dough like pizza. The waiter was so concerned and offered to take it back but I hate food waste so I plowed in. It was actually good- not fantastic- with a very thick purée and the sautéed rabe blending well. There is a lot of rabe and the constant chewing can get a bit tiresome but overall I liked the dish although I think it's better on a cold night as it's served piping hot. The flatbread pieces are bland. My husband said his pizza was good but much spicier than he expected. I nibbled on the pizza crusts and liked the chewy dough. One of the best experiences of the night was the waiter TBH. His attention to customer service- asking how our food was, if we wanted anything else, etc- was as if we were back in the US. I felt I had entered a country warp! SO rare in London to have that good service!

From the exterior it feels like it should be sporting some shisha pipes and cushions. There's some good outdoor seating, half covered by canvas for those wetter but warmer days and a good space inside. This bar looks good, clean, trendy for the area yet comfortable and intimate. The bar has a good selection, Moretti by the bottle. It's main draw is its cocktail menu. Expertly tailored and exquisitely executed drinks. No doubt the bar staff are a talented lot. However, it's a place a tad on the pricey side and doesn't have many more draws. When I think night out for cocktails, I don't think Ealing. The food, by the look of the Menu looks rather nice. A good Meze selection which was rather large in portion size., however the more ambitious meals fall through. A friend had something chicken-y and it looked (and apparently tasted) foul, bit of a waste of £11. Although it's nice enough, it's just that little bit out of the way and a little bit meh to draw me back on a regular basis. However good for groups I think, and always better than it's neighbour, Wetherspoons. No contest there.

This is a lovely local pub which like quite a few Fuller pubs in Ealing as that Tardis effect of being bigger than you expected when you step inside. The manager/owner was in and serving us, which is always nice to see. They were very informative about drinks and food on the menu and offered recommendations, but without being too Sales-y. Opting for a pub lunch, the Mrs and I decided to dine here. I had a veggie burger of mammoth proportions and she had the salmon and capers. The picture doesn't look very appetising, but I assure you it was all rather de-lish. Good selection behind the bar with Star on draft. Drinks come in their brand appropriate glasses.
