This was my first experience with an online sticker manufacturer and from now on I will doing my own stickers at home using sticker paper. The quality of the product was fine, but the customer service was garbage. They were quick to provide proofs, but couldn't give simple answers to seemingly simple questions about jargon like 'trim line' and 'safe zone'. Then, when they wouldn't answer any questions, and they couldn't get the proof right 3 times, I asked for a refund, which they refused. They said the best they could do was store credit, because ya know, they make you pay before you even approve the job... another great reason to avoid this company. Their prices beat everywhere else, and for a good reason. In this case especially, you get what you pay for, in terms of customer service. I suggest shopping somewhere else or making your own stickers. read more

I need to get promo pieces printed for photography projects once a year or so. Over the years I've bounced from one printer to another, usually because the ones I like eventually undergo a change for the worst (farewell, printsmadeeasy.com). Some were such abject disasters from the start that it boggles the mind they're still in business (see my review of Gotprint.com. Fuckers). I've had a chance to send one job to Print Place. My experience placing the order was a bit mixed. On the upside, they take printing seriously, and are able to provide templates for all the major design software packages, and will happily answer questions about ICC profiles and all the techie stuff. On the downside, the site is unnecessarily complicated, making it hard to sift through all the pre-designed products and get to the real stuff. I also found it hard to distinguish between the best paper and varnish options and the not-best. My postcards, unfortunately, looked bad. This was part my fault (I got confused by the site and ordered paper and varnish that were lower quality than intended) and part theirs (there were a couple of press-side defects in the printing). The reason for my four star rating is that Print Place bent over backwards to make the job right. They were a bit disorganized--the process took some time and several back-and-forth emails and calls--but I was convinced they took my issues deadly seriously, even the ones I'd admitted were my own fault. I was able to talk to a color expert and someone from the press end of the operation, and also their grand poobah of customer service, who insisted on refunding my money, reprinting on the highest quality stock, and overnighting the cards. The second run of cards looks very good. The stock is good quality, bright white and glossy, and now shows crisp black printing on the backside. The photo on the front has excellent color fidelity (this was not among the problems with the 1st batch). It's probably a 99% match to a proof print from my own color-managed system, which is about as good as you can ever expect without seeing a press proof (which I believe is a higher-cost service they offer). I have seen somewhat higher quality printing from other kinds of digital presses. I believe Print Place is using a standard 4-color press with conventional screens, at 375 lpi. So the screen texture is visible in some areas of smooth tone, like the sky. There are some higher quality options out there, but as far as I've been able to find, they don't exist at this price point--Print Place's prices are very, very low, especially considering the quality and the committed customer service. I'll happily use them again. read more

I've been using them since 2007 to produce color glossy brochures and booklets - probably a dozen or so orders in the 2000 - 10000 item range. The results have been uniformly good, with printing and shipping on time. On a couple of occasions they have found issues with the proofs and called me immediately. Excellent value and quality. read more

Truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Service representative lied about shipping date to make me pay more, then when I called back to check the shipping date all the lady would do is argue with me. Worst experience ever. Will never print here again and will tell everyone I know not to print here either. Zero stars. read more

Do not use this company for mailing services. They must have sold the company or decided to outsource customer service within the past few years so all customer service is based in the Philippines and you can not talk with anyone in the US that is actually doing the mailing to ask them questions. It seems like you ask the questions to their customer support and if they understand the question, they then ask whoever it is that does the mailing. Use a local printer or one that is actually willing to work with customers. read more

I was very disappointed in the quality of the stickers. I also thought it would be a custom shape. I reached out to customer service but have not had any reply. I do not plan on ordering through Print Place again. read more

Amazing prices and amazing service. Been using them for years. Only problem I ever had was a shipment lost by UPS -- they replaced it with next day service. My only wish is they would have someway to indicate that I don't want a proof check. I often upload items that will be outside the print zone and my proof gets flagged and delays it until I can check the proof again. I would like to be able to send something thru and not have it flagged -- I know in advance its outside of the print area. Great though! Will continue to use them and recommend to others. read more

I've used these guys both for business and personal printing and have always been satisfied. The one thing I don't enjoy is how if I want full bleed I have to bring the images out beyond the edge of the document, but I suppose that is fairly standard. It did cause some frustrations in the beginning though. I always pick up from their location, and the place seems kind of sketch, but I deal with it cause their prices are legit. The sketchiness of the pick up area and necessity to design everything yourself to exact measurements is why they lost a star from me. One story for you: I printed out invitations for my 25th birthday and there was a layer of yellow in the Adobe Illustrator file to get the right color on the final image. Well, somehow the yellow came out STRONG in the invites. The Print Place people were kind enough to fix it for me and reprinted at no extra cost, even though my order was pretty small by their standards. I've always gotten great service from them (even printed out wedding invites and thank you cards here!). *****Full disclosure my last order with Print Place was 5 months ago so take that into account. read more

By far my favorite print vendor. I used to have items printed, and shipped to myself to check quality (and to snag a few samples), and then would ship orders to clients. Print Place saves me a ton on shipping. I was at first put off by having to pay before seeing a proof. And in this time I tried out multiple print vendors. I was unsatisfied with all, and finally tried Print Place due to the excellent reviews on printaholic.com They have been AMAZING for me since! This morning they noticed an error on their end, as they send me samples but misplaced the 500 prints that were going to my client. A rep called me, explained the issues, explained that they had already reprinted the order and were sending it out priority to arrive BEFORE the original "ground shipping" delivery date. I would never have known there was an issue, but I LOVE that they cared enough to let me know what happened. I also LOVE that they had the issue solved in an amazing way before they called me. Thanks for the excellent customer service, blind shipping, and most importantly SENDING SAMPLES! This saves me time, and money, and makes my service more dependable to my clients. read more

I have been using print place for several years. I have printed postcards, flyers, custom paper items, door hangers, clam shell inserts, and all manager of packaging and promotional materials. I find their prices to be similar or better than the competition, I find that the quality printing is excellent. On one or two occasions I had print issues that were rapidly addressed to my satisfaction. Customers should be aware that for many printed items five business day turnaround is the default, this means that you will not see your order on your desk for approximately 2 weeks in the time you send it to press. For some items the default turnaround time is 10 business days, which really translates into two full weeks, from the time you send the job to press. Add in the shipping time and you are talking about a minimum of three weeks. I think this is a little bit slow, given that the speed of business has accelerated significantly in the past few years. Naturally you can pay significantly more for rapid turnaround time, but in many cases this almost doubles the cost of the job. Just so you are aware that 10 business day turnaround is the default for some items when you make your order. Caveat emptor. What I raise this concern with the customer service people today they were kind enough, after a little bit of prodding, to speed up the production on my job. I am very satisfied. I would give a five star review if the default turnaround time was five business days on all items, but it is not. read more

I ordered cardstock cards and stickers from print place. They have good prices, but they are a little too good to be true. Many of the cards were scuffed and unusable, a portion of the stickers were the same. Shipping was quick, and I would recommend them for cheap and quick, but not quality. read more

I ordered numbered tickets and 4 of 5 boxes were loose so they were all mixed up when I opened the boxes. Numbered tickets should be wrapped or rubber-banded in 250 or 500. Plus the job was reverse numbered. Never in my 25 years of past printing experience was that done without being requested by the customer. One order for 5000 Saturday tickets was to start at 0001. Another order for 2500 of the same Saturday ticket was to start at 5001. They started at 0001 so I now have 2500 Saturday tickets with duplicated numbers. read more

These guys are amazing!. So easy to place an order, so convenient to make different selections, paper, sizes. Why did I use other web sites before? Thank you! read more

I work for a museum and we order brochures and postcards, as well as greeting cards. I ordered from PrintPlace many times over the past few years and I have always been very happy - phone customer service knows what they are talking about and they always help me fix PDFs that turn out weird from using Publisher. I have no complaints. Yeah, the shipping to NY and turnaround take a while, but hey, these guys are low priced. As for other reviews about proofs getting put on hold... that happens with any online print company - they want to warn you about lo res photos, etc. One of the lowest prices I've found online, especially when you hire in higher quantities. I used to use UPrinting - but their customer service is terrible. Stick with PrintPlace! - they also send you proofs faster! read more

Don't use them! I have used them for numerous orders in the past with great results. My most recent experience has been beyond outrageous. I needed to reorder some postcards they had printed for me before. I went on the very unfriendly website and learned that for some reasons I needed to call... so I did. 30 mins later the Rep has no idea what is happening and why the artwork can't be pulled up. I email her a PDF copy and she is still confused and offers to email me back and a 15% discount. I later get a proof that needed to be approved with cut off artwork and partially different font... hmm.. emailed back and after 3 emails it's fixed. No apology just some bogus explanation. I go to place the order and can't do it online as i can't get my discount that way. Have to call again and get some other clueless rep who after 20 mins gets me to some automated system and still no discount! I call back and after 15 mins am assured discount is applied and I can pay online... I ask the Rep to stay on the phone while I do this and she hangs up on me. So I email again and again and saga continues... after 8 emails some "team leader" calls me to offer the same initial 15% discount. Sorry! Going elsewhere! This is simply an inappropriate way to deal with a repeat customer. Update: got a yelp message the day of original review offering to help... emailed them back and crickets... hmm the "nice" customer service continues read more

I've experienced Much Better! I sent in my art using the site - and it fit picture perfectly to the pixel, and by the inch. Cards came back with almost a 1/8 inch extra border around all edges. This makes the card image smaller. - - Thanks for another punch in the face of being beat down by Poor Craftsmanship in America and Lazy A** Employees. read more

My experience was very good with this company. I had to use chat to get my cards printed the way I wanted due to changing my mind after I had added them to the cart. They fixed my issue promptly. This company makes you create an account before offering prices. Avoid at all costs and find a legitimate company for your sticker needs.

Ordered labels with a special note of thanks for a charity event - feeding healthcare workers. PrintPlace was terrible. I ordered on 4/23 in the morning. On 4/27 they called trying to sign me up for something, and mentioned that my order would be delivered on 5/1, a day later than my event. I expressed concern, asked for shipping changes to ensure my order would make it in time. The person on the phone said they couldn't help me with that, and I would have to call their customer service number. I did immediately after I got of the phone with them. I called the customer service number, and swear I got the same person who just called me, they had a very distinct voice. 4/27, 9:30am, had to be on the phone for 17 min, found out that my order might not arrive by the needed date. I requested either faster shipping or cancellation. They said they couldn't cancel it because it was already done. I said OK, lets do faster shipping, its Monday, the order is done, I need it by Thursday morning, plenty of time to ship it. They said they would call back in 1-2 hours with shipping info, the never did. I called again, at 12:27, on the phone for 18 min. They wanted to Fedex overnight the order, I said send it 2-3 day and it would still arrive in time, they said the order wasn't done yet so it would have to be sent on Tuesday. I asked if it wasn't made yet, why could they not cancel it, I was told earlier in the day that it was finished. No explanation. They offered Fedex overnight shipping (fine) but the rate she quoted was almost TRIPLE the actual rate fedex charges from their zipcode to mine for a 5lb box....I questioned her on it. She said a manager would call me within 1-2 hours, same day. They never did. No resolution at all, completely left hanging. No call back when promised 2 separate times. Now I'm out the money for the order, it will not arrive on time, and will be completely useless. I ordered it 4/23 in the morning, completely unacceptable that I can't get it by 4/30. Never going to use this company again, I will spend the effort telling my colleagues and friends to never order from this company. Worst experience I have ever had with a print company, I use print companies all the time for business needs, never have issues, figured I would give it a try, terrible mistake on my part. Never again. Want to know the worst part? These labels were for a charity event to feed healthcare workers, it was supposed to be a note of thanks to them. read more

I am a luxury home photographer with a background of 27 years of experience in print publishing. I have published hundreds of luxury home magazines and managed the printing. I sent a real estate brochure to PrintPlace and the did a horrible job of printing. The brochures were so dark and black ink was way too dark. I spent over an hour on the phone with customer support, they told me that they would re-print the brochures and the next day a customer service rep came back and said they would not re-print the brochures...they stole $395 dolloars from me basically because now I have to have the brochures re-printed somewhere else for my customer....horrible company with terrible customer service and the printing they do is awful. My experience with Print Place was one of my best experiences in my 34 year tenure in business. We have an in-store graphic designer that usually uses the largest printer in Sacramento California for our printing needs. When we submitted this order for envelopes to them (the one in Sacramento), it seem to be way over their head. I was a little bit frustrated dealing with them. All I wanted is to get some envelopes printed on the front and back. These envelopes are to be used when we finalize a transaction with a customer and their receipt and necessary records, and other offers go into the envelope so they can store it in their glove box. We are in Mobile electronics store, so the records need to be kept with the vehicle. I engaged with print place probably 4 to 5 times on the phone and every time I dealt with them, Maricar and Michelle they were very helpful, patient and were clear on what they were doing. Too many times when you talk to companies over the phone it almost seems like you're training their employee instead of them knowing what they're doing on their own. They really have their act together. I received the envelopes faster than I thought I would, and the quality of the printing is higher quality than I even expected. Having had a great experience, which is rare these days I can't say enough about Print Place. Well having said all that I highly recommend them, and one would be a fool not to do business with them. Outstanding job Print Place. Thank you so much for the service and ease of doing business with you and you can expect to see all my future printing needs when applicable. I have never written a review on here before, but feel the need to write one for this company. It seems the only positive review on here was written by someone from the company. This is probably one of the worst online business interfaces I have ever come across. I came across this website, and was impressed by its offering of print materials and its prices were competitive. However, before being able to upload and view my custom greeting cards, the website forces you to enter your credit card information. Skeptical about this (but having done some online research), I entered my information...assuming that this was only to verify that I was a legitimate customer. Afterwards, the next step is to upload artwork. I tried this multiple times, in different formats, sizes, colors, etc. Nothing worked, and it only distorted my image. Therefore, I decided to cancel my order. However, there is NO option to cancel an order, and since I placed this order on a Friday evening, the customer service department was closed. I called the next week, and was told, "Sorry Ma'am, there is no option to cancel on the website, we have to do it over the phone, we will credit your account for X dollars, but will have to charge you a $15 cancellation fee" I explained to the sales representative what a RIDICULOUS thing this was, a fee for a faulty interface, when I never had them do any work, and he said "Okay we will waive the fee this one time." Absolutely ridiculous that I even had to argue this point. DO NOT do business with them -- I got greeting cards on Kodak Gallery (a reputable website) in 3 days, and even though I had to pay a little more, it was well work it. I will be checking my credit card statement to make sure they have not taken money from my account, because this company is not to be trusted. read more

I have ordered several things from Print Place, their printing quality is OK but their customer service and treatment of their customers is severely lacking! On my last order I paid for 1 day turnaround. I accepted the proof as it was up to my satisfaction, they put my order on hold claiming there was a proof issue. I reviewed my proof again and found no problems with it at all, I had already approved it! Once I approved it again they changed the ship date to 5 days after my initial proof acceptance! I sent them a contact through their site notifying them that they caused the delay since I had accepted the proof and that they needed to expedite or give a significant refund since I had paid for the 1 day turnaround. I have heard no word back from them regarding this and the ship date has not changed. This is the second time this exact same thing has happened when I have ordered from Print Place. This will definitely be my last order ever from them. I highly recommend you find another more reliable and customer service friendly company to work with! read more

I have used print place at my work and for my personal design business. I have been very pleased with their quality and love the late 7pm cut off time for art. I'd give 0 star if there's an option for that. I don't usually write review on yelp, but this is just the most horrible print experience I've ever had. I order a 2 days print + 2nd day shipping for an emergency flyer print project. And they shipped the flyer in this HUGE square box with 5000prints inside all over the place, and most of the flyers are either folded or torn apart. Like really? Printplace provides ok service for an online printer except if you make a mistake. They will charge a $15 service fee if you want to change your order after checkout. Which would be fine but payment is the second step in the process before you ever upload your artwork. I would avoid this site and stick with VistaPrint from now on. read more

Austin in will call is worth mentioning. There was a mix-up with a print job our company recently had paid for and whereas most of the people over the phone I spoke to who represented Print Place gave me excuses instead of answers, Austin was the opposite. He immediately took it upon himself to make it right, and when I had returned to pick it up he recognized my face, remembered my order, and went and got it before I even reached the desk. Usually Print Place hits their deadlines, comes up with very reasonably priced printed materials, and is good to work with. On this big order however that needed more attention I was a little disappointed that there was no follow-up and no urgency (Outside of dealing with Austin). At least two different people told me over the phone that they would call me back and none did. I had to go up in person to find out the status. Luckily, I met with Austin while I was there. After discovering PrintPlace about 10 years ago, I have been a faithful repeat customer. I never post reviews, but I just had to write in to disagree with some of the negative reviews. As an experienced graphic designer, I'm very detail oriented (picky!) and also want the best value for my money without compromising quality/integrity. For me, I can wholeheartedly recommend PrintPlace as a vendor that fulfills and delivers on quality, value and excellent customer service. There have been times that I needed to call in due to a mistake on my part; fortunately, their staff (from the salespeople to art dept) has consistently been helpful and able to resolve any matter cheerfully. Update: I am updating my review to reflect the steps taken to address the problem. I complained about unreasonable shipping charges on an order of 5 sets of business cards to a customer service rep who did not give me any viable options to address the problem. After sending an additional complaint the company did contact me to say they wanted to make things better. They addressed our concerns and waived shipping charges. They have kept us as a customer for now, and I hope in the future the business will make it easier to combine shipping on large orders of multiple different items without the high fees. Original Review: We are a small business with extensive printing needs. We have always used FedEx, but heard about your company from another business and were impressed with your prices and decided to try out your printing services. We placed an order for 1,000 brochures as a test job to ensure that the quality matched FedEx. After placing this order, I saw that we could order samples of your products. We received the package with sample printing products in the mail yesterday, and were very impressed with the quality, and decided to place a second order even before seeing the brochures we ordered last week. The order was for 5 sets of business cards (1,000 cards per job). I was shocked to see that shipping would be over $60 for an order than was only $105. I contacted customer service through the Live Chat option and talked to Amanda, who gave me a code for free shipping. I used the code, but upon attempting to complete the order I got an error code saying we couldn't use the free shipping code because we had already used it on our previous brochure order. Amanda confirmed that we would not be able to use the code, and said that we could combine shipping, but would not know the total shipping cost until after we already paid for the order, and would also be charged $25 to combine the orders. I am upset for these reasons: 1.) The customer service agent (Amanda) should have checked to make sure that we were eligible for the coupon code before telling us that we could use it. She did not check, therefore the offer she gave us should have been honored. 2.) I have no problem paying shipping charges; this is expected, and I was still willing to complete the order even without the free shipping coupon. However, I do have a problem with paying high fees for something that is not an unreasonable or unusual request. I am surprised that you do not offer better shipping options. If we were to order 5,000 business cards, shipping would only be $15.33, so why charge over $60 for 5 sets of 1,000 business cards? The only option you offer for combining shipping is pretty ridiculous. I have to pay for the order before knowing what I will be paying for shipping?? And pay a $25 fee for something that most companies offer as a standard option? I don't have an outright problem with paying a fee to combine shipping, but $25 is an unreasonable charge. I am very unimpressed with your customer service. Regardless of the quality of the brochures when we receive them, we will not be doing business with you any more, and will be posting negative reviews online and on our blog. read more
