If you only go to FedEx or UPS for print jobs, you're throwing a lot of money away and missing out on this great gem!! It's a shame that I've only discovered Bird years after I have already graduated from UTA. The only thing I have gotten done here is print jobs, and they're super cheap! Instead of paying per minute fee at Fedex or UPS to use their computer to print stuff out, here you can send your files to info@birdscopies.com for them to print at no additional charge. I don't go here often enough to really remember the different pricing. The instant quote function on their website does seem much higher than how much it really costs if you go in person. My last time here (this week) I came in for a 1 page black and white print. The person (possibly the owner) who attended me was super nice to print it out free of charge. Their printer printed weird characters on my resume. I did not notice it until after I left, but when I returned to show them the mistake, they refused to refund the $10 that I spent. They pulled the original file up on their computer and it showed up on their computer just fine. It printed elsewhere just fine. They insisted on blaming my file. They lost a customer over $10. read more

I printed at Birds for my entire 5 years of college as a graphic design student. They service was quick, and sometimes the staff would go out of the way to help fix something for printing (although you can tell they hate this and they will hate you because that's not their jobs haha) At first, as a new student who may not know the ropes of file formatting it may feel a little cold spirited in the shop, the pressure of getting it right have having them wait on you was not something great for my anxiety as I was already running late to class.. but as the years pass and you become a PDF expert you should have know problems getting all of your stuff printed! They've printed, cut and staples magazine projects for me before, but they also have a cutter there you can use yourself. I am giving the shop 4 stars because I feel their printers could be a little better, some designs come out a little splotchy or with barring.. but if you ask them to reprint it they have no problem with that! At the end of the day I'm not sure if they meant to attract art students, or if they prefer to stick with copying large work documents or flyers (given the color printing can be dodgy) I've never had any problems in my 5 years of using Birds, and I've seen them fulfill multiple orders for flyers, business cards, art projects, etc! I always recommend birds to anyone who needs printing! read more

I'm a Graphic Design student at UTA, so I go here a lot and am the worst kind of costumer. Only one project (so they aren't making a bunch of money) and its complicated and something is always wrong. However, they have helped me with every single problem that has come up and explained how to do it better next time. Today, there were 10 people in line for finals week, but they still took the time to help me get it right. I've worked with every worker there and they are all so helpful. Sometimes in a rush or firm, but always helpful. To compare with other printers, I went today to another printer in the area and they were going to charge me $45 per hour to help me fix a problem. I can't do that on a student budget!! Plus they had no idea what to do to fix it. I took it to Birds and boom! Problem solved. I'll drive 30 minutes from my house just to get it right here.
