The worker , as we discussed on the phone, expressed full payment (zelle cash app) over the phone. This is something I would not feel comfortable doing. I offered 50% deposit and 50% upon pick up. Worker texted for me to send the full amount immediately. I expressed the remainder will be provided upon pick up;as discussed on the phone) Worker texted for my UBER PLATE NUMBER, I did express I will be arriving shortly as I live in the neighborhood (now I'm completely thrown off and a bit nervous). I spoke to my friend whom expressed to not overthink what's happening. Unless he is coming to my Uber to give me job, why would he need a plate number?! This is a store front business... Or is it because I am Black? (Directions on providing the plate number and demand for payment all occured after sending the obituary to the business). I googled another printer... I came upon Rolling Press, that was about 4 blocks away from Staples... the super nice gentleman at the front desk informed me that they had just announced that they were going out of business and couldn't take my order, BUT referred me to Save Mor Digital Printing, which was actually much closer to my house... I'm sad that I wasn't aware that they've been around for 35 years... not only was the customer service at both of these small, independent stores FAAAARRRR more superior than my 1st experience, the prices were less than half. He did exactly what I needed, plus it came out much nicer than I expected. Please visit local independent shops the next time you need a service. You are not only helping a small business, you might even get a better deal. Thank you for listening.
