Although I was warned there might be small fragments from the engraving, I was assured the work could be done. If the glasses were too thin to engrave safely, the job should never have been accepted. After engraving, the glasses had visible cracks, and when I went to gently hand wash them, they completely shattered. Not only did I lose 4 Tiffany wine glasses, but I also paid $120 for this service. Very upset with the lack of responsibility and poor customer service.

Joseph did an amazing job, and was honest when he saw that my own wedding band was too thin for a legible inscription; rather than engrave it and potentially ruin the band for the extra money, Joseph politely suggested I refrain from any engraving on it and he was right. But their invoice does says checks are okay* Roughly about 1 week turn around time. They said 3-5 business days depending on their schedule. Tip #1: after emailing, please call to confirm they are aware as sometimes the emails get lost in their junk folder. Send photo and description of what you watch with your full name/contact information. Tip #2: their reply email may also get lost in your junk folder- so please check for their reply and invoice there. I was looking for engraving service as I have a personal item where the words was worn off (it wasn't really engraved but printed on). They were very helpful and we arranged for me to come in to bring the item and explained what I wanted. They are a 2-people team; the lady answered the phone/emailed was different from the man I met in person. To make it easier on them, I had printed out the email with the photos and what I wanted engrave with my contact information when I came to drop off my item. I had emailed them before Christmas and then called at the end of the first week of January. I went last week Wednesday after work to drop off them item and discussed the wording. He said that by Friday there should be proof and then by next Wenesda it should be ready. He gave 1 week estimate turn around. They sent me a proof in email the next day but I didn't see it over the holiday weekend until I was back at the office. I promptly checked for wording, spelling and such and approved. I came today to pick up my item and was happy with the service. It was faster than expected. Overall amazing experience. The gentleman at the office showed me different examples of font, sizing, coloring and such so tha I would be aware of all options and how it would look. I decided against any color (but I did wish they have white as originally my dogtag was in white) but the had grey and black color only. Item: Dog Tag Worn out from just regular wear/tear from 19yrs ago. Received this in 2004 for my 16th birthday from my best friend. The man thought something happened to cause the wording to fade but it was just regular wear around the neck everyday for a few months. Maybe he thought it was engraved? It looked like it is slightly engraved with white color ink printed over but when you feel it, you can tell it's not engraved. See photos of before and after.

I used Yelp to quote from 12 firms and manually queried 4 others in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. The prices were mostly in the $400s with some in the $800s, but Advanced Printing stuck out not only for price but details, honesty, forthrightedness (for competitors, the more the quote says upfront to address the customer's request, the better customers feel and might buy), and overall polish (proper format, punctuation, gives me confidence they'll handle the job accordingly) and understanding my specific quote (I wrote a long detailed request and their quote reflected a complete understanding) won the day. After our non-profit's board overwhelmingly voted for Advanced Printing, I sweated it as I wanted to submit payment asap so they could meet our tight deadline of what was now the next day which most NYC print shops either won't do or charge 50-100% more to do, if they even accept the such request. No Chinatown one would even dare try under a week and all of those needed extensive in person visits as they're not much beyond email and only speak Cantonese familiarly and Mandarin begrudgingly. Payment was easy as they within mere minutes (7?) of asking by email replied with a pdf invoice which had a link for online secure payment by card, truly a glorious pleasure as I was unable to submit payment in person due to a family commitment. Paul L. then handily sent proofs and although it was incorrect due to a change I made after the request for quote but then didn't tell him about the update mere 3h earlier, he was a true professional and even comforted me about my frustrations with our lawyers who forced the design change and made new proofs within 30mins. We are forever grateful for his accommodation, even if it's normal in the industry. I then emailed a written confirmation of proofs and off it went to run. Merely 3h later, the job was done. I've walked past Advanced's storefront many times over many years as I work 3 blocks away and found them without GPS or apps. I should've taken photos of their officespace to help customers see their very modern, digital production line and organized clean space, but it's fairly a limited floor 1 view with their workstations for Carlos C. and Paul L. there. Its location on W 37th St between 8th Av and 9th Av is so very convenient for so many midtown needs and workers. I really wish I could give this place 1 more star because the recycled paper options! I chose Advanced Printing NYC specifically for this reason. i needed to print my portfolio and they have 100% recycled Cover paper. This type of paper little bit more weight and thickness to it so your portfolio can be legitimate! I dropped off my portfolio to be printed around 1pm. Paul helped me out! He told me that it would get done latest by the next morning. After, he said that it could be done in 2-3 hours and they would call me when it got done. I was secretly hoping it would get printed the day of and I would get a call. But I didn't get a call, so I called them the next morning. It's really easy to pay! If you forgot your wallet (it was a hectic day), they can email your invoice and you can pay online! When your things are printing, cross guidelines are also printed to see where to cut. But Advance printing does not have a cutting board for public use. I will probably come back to print on that recycled paper and hopefully update the review.
