Your reply speaks volumes. Buyer beware, so you don't end up paying $143 for an end of bolt (3.25 yds).

Horrible customer service - do not answer the phone and all voicemails are full so you can't leave a message!

Deco Raleigh is located in Downtown Raleigh on Salisbury Street. The iconic neon sign caught my…read moreattention and drew me in after a walking tour of Raleigh. The store opened back in 2012 and moved to its current larger spot in 2018. At the time, it was the only place downtown to buy a card and a gift. The building was once the NC State Bar's headquarters. Parking is on the street or at a nearby garage, so it can be somewhat challenging. Did you know that Pam Blondin, the owner, campaigned and built Raleigh's first parklet, and she commissioned the city's first sidewalk mural? She is a true pioneer of downtown's public culture. Deco Raleigh is an upscale gift shop with curated gifts. I thought the store was a good size and bigger than it appeared from the street. But the aisles were a little narrow in places. The store carries work from over 100 North Carolinian artisans. Inside, there is pottery, artwork, jewelry, textiles, apparel, home decor, puzzles, books, cards, and other unique finds. The store carries the "Raleigh" and "North Carolina" themed items. You'll also find some gourmet food items. The custom wrapping station makes things so convenient. It is the ideal place to browse and find a thoughtful gift for someone, or just buy something for yourself. The store design is warm, welcoming, and a total visual treat to explore. I'll definitely be back!

Unique ***** Modern *****…read moreQuality ***** Variety **** Expertise *** Hard sell *** Parking ***** Location ** Price * (high) Different from other Raleigh stores (Haverty's, Bassett, Ethan Allen, La-Z-boy, Rooms to Go, etc.); Ambiente's furniture is all high-end, modern, cutting edge designs, unique pieces. Every other store has stodgy, traditional pieces that are so boring. (Basset's idea of cutting edge is offering memory foam cushion options.) At least Ambiente is fun and interesting to browse. If you're looking for an Ekornes Stressless chair, Ambiente has the best display of multiple colors and styles. FYI, those chairs are $3k each; most leather chairs cost just as much now. I have 2 Ekornes chairs that are 10 years old, extremely comfortable, still in style, and look brand new. I was shocked to see how much furniture prices have increased post-covid, and good luck getting custom pieces in less than 9-12 mos. due to supply chain issues. Most places don't sell showroom models, either. Buy "made in NC" for faster (yet still slow) delivery. Most of Ambiente's pieces are made overseas. I was looking for a sofa sectional. The first one I saw was beautiful. Price tag showed $11K. Who can afford a sofa that costs more than a car? I found a suitable sofa sectional at Bassett, but I left the store after I found out it was $8K. "It's 30% off!" Down from 10K. Since furniture costs are so high now, you might as well pick something you like enough to keep for decades. I even shopped online for sofas and discovered they are junk not made to last long but suitable for a first apartment.

They sent a designer to our house to take a look at our space with us and to recommend a nice layout and colors to match our room for us. Our living room is a bit challenging as it has an unusual number and placements of doors and windows and a fireplace, so it was confusing for us to design the space on our own. We found their designer's insights to be wonderful, and years later we still love the furniture and feel of the room. I haven't noticed any wear on their pieces, and we even have a toddler testing it out how durable it is now. My one complaint is that I wish they had a larger showroom, but I'm sure the real estate in the mall comes at a hefty price.

Employees are all very friendly and willing to help you find what you are looking for. We went in looking for a specific rug that the company said they carried here. They didn't have the sample in, but we were able to order it. If we don't order the rug there we do have to pay for the shipping of the samples ($20). You can rent out any of the rug samples you want and take a look at them in your house before you commit. If you are not in the market for furniture they also have some nice gift items. Things like Nest candles, local chocolate bars, small kitchenware gifts. Things along those lines!

The Perfect Piece is nicely tucked away in an old bank at the base of downtown Cary. (This makes…read morefor a particularly fun excursion through the store as you look to see how much of the old bank is still intact. For instance the vault is now a cool little room) Lucky for you! they have a parking lot, so you don't have to worry about the parking hassle that downtown Cary can be! The sign on the door describes this place well! It says "Upscale Furniture, consignment, and Home Decor" and Vendor Booths. I would say this is the kind of store that falls on my "want" list. (Places like grocery stores are need places, b/c you actually need their stuff. Want stores are the places that you buy things merely b/c you want them.) If you are looking for something to decorate with this is the place to come. It does not matter your style, be it modern, eclectic, shabby chic, old country home, prissy, laid back, manly or fru fru, they have it all. It can be a little overwhelming to be in this place b/c there is SOOOOOOOOOOO much here, but it is defiantly worth hunting through. They not only carry home decor, but jewelry and accessories, such as sunglasses scarves and handbags. It's fun to walk through and see the different personalities of the booth owners as you walk through and see how they have decorated. Some of the items are new, some are used, and some are consignment. There is no real distinction between the categories and the store is a mish mash of it all. Some things were bargain priced while somethings were just pricey. You just have to play the, is it that cute? game. Example: The hubbie and i were in a glasses store earlier today and they had some designer glasses for $350, they were cute, but not $350 cute. then when we came to the Perfect Piece we found a pair of glasses that had a similar design without the designer price tag for $13 and i thought to myself, now those are $13 cute! so i got them. So next time you're up for redecorating, or you're looking for that something, but you just don't know what it is go here! Their stock is always changing, in fact while we were there we saw pieces coming and going. Staff are super friendly and help if you are looking for something. One thing to note, just in case you decide to buy someone a gift here, they have a no refund policy. So if you buy it, you better be sure you like it! Happy shopping!
