Found parking conveniently right in front in the street since it was a quiet day out. I was looking for wool roving which she didn't have, however, she was so kind to explain the difference between the types of material and she showed me the correct type of yarn she did have that I'd be able to pull apart with my carding brushes! She had a lot of equipment to use for yarn crafts and it was great to see the variety of product inside. Apparently she holds craft nights and such too which I'm planning on looking into. Prices here were sooo much better than all the places I've found online which is also have to pay extra for shipping. She also even rolled the yarn into a ball for me before we left. Hopefully they'll have wool roving here soon, but I'm thankful for the yarn we were able to purchase for my current projects :) The best part -- her dog Jasper kept us company throughout our whole experience there and he is the absolute cutest cuddle bug! You get to try on a sample jacket, see actual stitching, choose fonts, and communicate with a real person. Matthew is knowledgeable. He knows what he's doing. You definitely need to set an appointment. You can't just walk in because it is a busy shop being the only one that services Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon. (There is another shop in Brentwood.) I would suggest looking at their instagram @gotstitches or their website gotstitches.com to look at samples before going to your appointment. That helps a lot! Getting a letterman jacket doesn't happen overnight. It's a process and there is a wait. You pick your fonts and colors, where to put your patches, what size jacket, etc. Jackets are made to order. You get a proof in about 2 weeks (depending on how busy they are), and when you approve the proof, there's still a wait on when your jacket gets completed. The wait might be long, but it's totally worth it! We ordered in December and we were given an estimated time of February. My son got his jacket in March. If you're a senior, they'll give you priority which is most likely why he didn't get his jacket till March. I'm good with that. My freshman can wait. :) Overall, the jacket is well made and the stitching is great! The patches are sewn on very well - even on the leather sleeves. Any new stitching or patches will added as needed. Call first before dropping by. I appreciate that Matthew gave us care tips. 1. Keep jacket in the zip bag when in your closet because moths love wool and so when they get to it, your jacket will get tiny holes. 2. Jacket is dry clean only! 3. Don't wear your jacket in the rain. It will get moldy and smell moldy.
