I got yelled at and gang on by the nurse and secretaries, they threaten to not take my baby anymore…read moreunless I do a vaccin RIGHT NOW. For context. I have been taking my 3 kids for a few years. My oldest 2 are, fully vaccinated (even more than what school required) My 3rd is also vaccinated, and was supposed to get a few more vaccins for his 18months. Unfortunately, he got strep, bronchitis, an ear Infection that took 2 round of antibiotics to get the ride and then we went on vacation. When I came back I went for a check up of his ears. Everything was fine so I left. As I was leaving the building the secretary called me back in and told me that we need to schedule a vaccin appointment because we are behind schedule. She then said, we should actually do a vaccine RIGHT NOW. I politely refused and asked if we could do it in two weeks during his well appointment because it was 2pm, I had groceries to drop off at the house and pick up my two kids at different school. I genuinely didn't have the time to go back in there. They got mad, like real mad. Saying in their office they are strict with following vaccin schedule, I HAD to get the vaccin before the end of the week or they won't take my baby anymore. I politely explained that I really would like to wait until the next two weeks, the well appointment, because we are in the middle of moving/packing and that's going to be a very busy time. They just kept insisting, being rude. So I just left. I was very upset about the fact that they were so rude to me and painted me as a "anti vaxer" even tho my kids have all their vaccins, we were just a bit late on schedule. So I came back, I told them, that it was rude to talk to me that way. Being a few months late for vaccine isn't a reason to be yelling at a mother with her baby in her arms. They didn't apologize for their tone, they actually double down. I said, "my kids are vaccinated, that's unacceptable to talk to me like this because we are behind schedule a few months " and the secretary said "no they are not". So, she lied to not lose face in front of other patients. Their website says "compassion" but clearly they have none. They don't care to yell at a mother with her baby in her arm, make her late for school pick up, as long as they get their money. After this I decided to not take my kids there anymore.

He's serious about his job but is approachable and doesn't over react. I appreciate how he educates the parents and wants to know what concerns you have- never ever makes you feel silly or ridiculous about a question or concern (like I said approachable!) We feel like we hit the jackpot with Dr Palsky- and to address some other reviews about practice staff I personally find it best to remember that this is a busy highly sought after pediatrics practice so yes you may find that the phones are always ringing and everyone isn't always sunshine and rainbows (nurses) as everyone has cloudy days or personal struggles and to be honest I have encountered ONE nurse who was not sunny in demeanor BUT I would never allow that to run me away from this practice!!

From basic treatments and checkups to their 24/hour on call services, we've been extremely satisfied in every way. First on Dr. Beth and Jessel. They are both extraordinary and I'm never concerned getting scheduled with either one. They are knowledgable, caring, sensitive and sweet with our kids and bring that same level of care when you have to call them at 3 am with a screaming baby. I get the sense Jessel may be more experienced, but it honestly hasn't mattered who we see. But I suppose for a really serious matter that's who I'd want to talk to. The staff at the office is also great. I've gotten great over the phone help from nurses and even the crew behind the desk is very nice. And overall the office is cheery and nicely decorated. Finally, when my wife gave birth to our second, we never got to St. Peter's hospital where they have rounds and instead had to go to RWJ in Somerville. Even though they couldn't go into the hospital to see us, we got fabulous support from Dr. Jessel when the baby was having some difficulties. She was available on the phone, super supportive and provided our baby wonderful care. Can you tell we love them? My wife and I say that nearly every time we leave.

Dr. Jessel now has her own practice in a beautiful new office in Bridgewater (by the Bridgewater Mall). Her calm demeanor, professionalism and knowledge of pediatric medicine are excellent. She has worked with us very closely through medical issues with our second child and gives us the comfort of knowing we are getting the best care possible for our children. She is extremely responsive and always makes us feel like our concerns are important. We recommend her highly to anyone looking for a pediatrician as an expecting parent, parents who are new to the area or are looking for a new doctor for their children. Finally, I love the patient portal which allows me to see my children's upcoming appointments, check in for an appointment, see their medical history, request a refill and send questions directly to Dr. Jessel. We are extremely happy with the care our children receive from Dr. Jessel.

There is pressure to consolidate practices because the day of the successful solo practitioner is far behind us for the most part. I have observed my son's pediatrician go from a small office with two other doctors, through expansion to many doctors and nurse practitioners and administrative staff large enough to manage the burgeoning computer requirements for medical records preservation and billing. As in most offices, the back office people are far more numerous than those treating patients. There was reason for concern that somewhere along the line the human touch would be lost to the demands of the modern business of medicine. Luckily for us, Dr. Brister, partners and associates have not lost their humanity, despite succumbing to the need to become part of a larger organization in order to survive and grow. Now known as part of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Care Network, they are associated with a fine institution known for its care of children throughout the Philadelphia region and beyond. "CHOP" as it is lovingly called, has a well earned reputation for world class medical care for young people. My seventeen year old son has been under the care of Drs. Brister, Kardos and their well selected partners/associates, and he has never had anything but excellent attention from the entire team. His thriving health and energy is at least in part due to the wonderful care received when needed (which blessedly has not been often). Knowing that they are part of the CHOP system gives great cause for even more confidence.
