A/K/A PennMed Yardley…read more I started using Wayne Li, M.D. at Penn Med about 18 months ago when my regular family doctor retired and finding a new physician was required. It was an easy decision to latch on to the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center network because I used the hospital facilities while living in Philly, and found them to be expert in all fields of medicine. If they were opening offices near me, the choice was already made. The mountain was coming to Mohammed. I discovered that they were adopting a name that referenced their new location rather than rely only upon the historic references. No harm in that as long as the professionalism didn't suffer as a result. Legal niceties and all that, you know. Dr. Li fits my notion of a well trained, caring physician to a "T." Still young enough to remember his days as a student, intern and resident, he is consciencous, while being able to relate to patients as if they really mattered. I am very happy with my choice. Too, the overall practice is diligent, and has implemented a computer communication system with patients that is easy to access and work through to track appointments, prescriptions and questions that need as answers. Admittedly, I might have ignored all this modernization but for Covid, but now that it promotes safety for everyone and is more than just the latest thing, I have taken to it and appreciate how it instills social distancing, while allowing doctors to move efficiently through the day and actually treat more people. All this is a good thing!

About a year ago he had a wonderful staff. Angela at the front desk was wonderful she was friendly and always had a smile. He also had very experienced women in the back drawing blood. I thought he finally found a great group. Then I went in one day and both my favorite girls were gone. Angela was no longer at the front and the cute little blonde was no longer taking my blood. I was very upset. I talk to some of these women still and I have to say I'm very disappointed that Dr. Sabitini would let Jen, the office manager turn his practice into her practice. Every time you go in to the office Jen is always yelling. And to be honest Lisa has smelled like alcohol more than once while drawing my blood. You had a great office at one time, but it just is getting worse. I have spoken to other patients and I know I am not the only one who feels this way. But Dr. Sabitini you are a wonderful doctor it's the staff around you that is not so wonderful.

Dr. Sabatini is the BEST primary care physician I've had…read more He is a dedicated, detailed, thorough, and helpful professional who shows genuine concern for his patients. Instead of eminating the typical "god complex" many physicians possess, he exudes a sincere and caring "bedside manner," which, in my opinion, is a quality long absent from his profession. Most importantly, Dr. Sabatini listens to what the patient tries to communicate in lay terms and then helps him or her navigate whatever issues or concerns he or she may be experiencing without judgment. (As I peruse the extremely low number of negative reviews, I chuckle, because based on the tone of the entries, you can sense these folks were quite possibly trouble from the get-go.) Consider yourself fortunate if this doctor is in charge of helping you take care of your overall health. I know I do!

Every single specialist he has sent me to has been excellent!!! 7 years ago, I moved 45 minutes away from Newtown - but I still kept Dr. Filips as my primary care doctor!! I would rather travel a bit knowing I am going to a great doctor. He is friendly, and very knowledgeable in his field. He takes the time to explain everything to you. Also, his staff seems very confident and also very friendly.

Coupled with this health plan expertise his office has, he personally has an immense knowledge of various start to finish outcomes that visiting specialists normally ends up yielding. He can counsel you on the likely results of these excursions, and you'll know what to expect before heading in. His no nonsense answers are exactly what you need to know about navigating the web of medical professionals out there. Any time my mother has needed an xray or other work drawn up, they are very timely about ordering the tests and transmitting or analyzing the results. My personal experience is calm and cool expertise and very professional environment. It's a nice little "mom and pop" feel of a doctor's office with hand-drawn pictures in the office from clients, hidden in the bustling suburb atmosphere that Newtown is slowly taking on. I'm proud to have literally grown up using that doctor's office, and I'm also very proud to have this opportunity to be able to say how great of an experience it has been there. If you're moving into the area, Dr. Jon Filips is a great choice for your general practitioner/family doctor.

After several years of putting up with this office, I am finally done. I hate changing doctors but…read morehere we go again. It starts with an odd feeling. Then the discomfort grows. They have hidden agendas that do not involve healthcare. They look down their noses at you to judge you through some kind of distorted moral lens. I think they took the hypocritical oath and they have no clue who Hippocrates even is. I am speaking of Dr. Hurst directly. She actually got on a call to reprimand me for "missing an appointment earlier in the month" instead of apologizing for failing to renew my prescription and leaving me without pain relief over the weekend. True leaders would have apologized. Instead she doubled down on the personal attack, as if missing an appointment is somehow even relevant. Turns out the mistake was also theirs. The appointment was tele-health and was kept. But that's beside the point. Even if I had accidentally missed an appointment, does that mean I deserve to suffer? I had to get CVS to request the refill and finally the doctor put it through end of day. Mind you: I had 30 Naproxen (two a day) 18 days prior and this was the first refill. This wasn't even helping enough, as I told them repeatedly last week. Another doctor would have done more to ensure I did not suffer. Stay away. Find a doctor's office that isn't out of the Handmaid's Tale -- unless, of course, you want to suffer to atone for your "sins".

Sadly, I will be leaving them soon as I am being priced out of their services by either their required bottom line or my medical insurance bottom line. Whatever the case, I recommend you make sure your insurance meshes well with the practice. A $60 office visit copay when you want just to be looked at for minor illness or need a decongestant for a cold is why so many people do not go to the Dr anymore.
