A/K/A PennMed Yardley…read more I started using Wayne Li, M.D. at Penn Med about 18 months ago when my regular family doctor retired and finding a new physician was required. It was an easy decision to latch on to the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center network because I used the hospital facilities while living in Philly, and found them to be expert in all fields of medicine. If they were opening offices near me, the choice was already made. The mountain was coming to Mohammed. I discovered that they were adopting a name that referenced their new location rather than rely only upon the historic references. No harm in that as long as the professionalism didn't suffer as a result. Legal niceties and all that, you know. Dr. Li fits my notion of a well trained, caring physician to a "T." Still young enough to remember his days as a student, intern and resident, he is consciencous, while being able to relate to patients as if they really mattered. I am very happy with my choice. Too, the overall practice is diligent, and has implemented a computer communication system with patients that is easy to access and work through to track appointments, prescriptions and questions that need as answers. Admittedly, I might have ignored all this modernization but for Covid, but now that it promotes safety for everyone and is more than just the latest thing, I have taken to it and appreciate how it instills social distancing, while allowing doctors to move efficiently through the day and actually treat more people. All this is a good thing!

After several years of putting up with this office, I am finally done. I hate changing doctors but…read morehere we go again. It starts with an odd feeling. Then the discomfort grows. They have hidden agendas that do not involve healthcare. They look down their noses at you to judge you through some kind of distorted moral lens. I think they took the hypocritical oath and they have no clue who Hippocrates even is. I am speaking of Dr. Hurst directly. She actually got on a call to reprimand me for "missing an appointment earlier in the month" instead of apologizing for failing to renew my prescription and leaving me without pain relief over the weekend. True leaders would have apologized. Instead she doubled down on the personal attack, as if missing an appointment is somehow even relevant. Turns out the mistake was also theirs. The appointment was tele-health and was kept. But that's beside the point. Even if I had accidentally missed an appointment, does that mean I deserve to suffer? I had to get CVS to request the refill and finally the doctor put it through end of day. Mind you: I had 30 Naproxen (two a day) 18 days prior and this was the first refill. This wasn't even helping enough, as I told them repeatedly last week. Another doctor would have done more to ensure I did not suffer. Stay away. Find a doctor's office that isn't out of the Handmaid's Tale -- unless, of course, you want to suffer to atone for your "sins".

I really like this office and have had very good experiences with both Dr Hurst and NP Beth. I…read morehighly recommend them. Sadly, I will be leaving them soon as I am being priced out of their services by either their required bottom line or my medical insurance bottom line. Whatever the case, I recommend you make sure your insurance meshes well with the practice. A $60 office visit copay when you want just to be looked at for minor illness or need a decongestant for a cold is why so many people do not go to the Dr anymore.

Dr. Ladley is reclaiming medicine from big health insurance industry. I'm an RN as well as a…read morepatient of his so I see the huge disparity between the two worlds. It's amazing the amount of healthcare you can get for $50 a month at a flat rate. (That's my rate, I think kids are an extra $10/month each after a $50 adult? Elderly might have a different price but check the website.) Lab work that cost me over $1700 with insurance (very basic lab work) would have cost me under $100 with Dr. Ladley had I known and waited. He works closely with me and really listens so that we can problem solve to fit my needs together. He doesn't simply refer out to a specialist what can be addressed by him in the office. He helps me find the best price on scripts as I currently don't have a prescription plan. The amount of money anybody with a chronic health condition (diabetes, hypertension) would save on prescriptions alone more than covers his costs so it even saves Medicare patients money despite not billing Medicare. You will always be heard, treated with kindness and respect, and given enough time in the office to say everything you need. Check Dr. Ladley out. Really.

He also had great hours and was accessible off-hours. I highly recommend him!

I waited a few minutes as I arrived early to my appointment but I did not even have enough time to review my chart before being called into my room. The doctor was very kind and explained everything in detail to me alleviating any concerns I had. I would definitely recommend Dr. Charles Polotti to other patients in Bucks County. I had no copay and the overall experience at Capital Health Urology Specialists was amazing! Please consider them when it is time to see a Urologist. Capital Health is the best in healthcare, period.

Capital Health has recently expanded from their New Jersey base of operations in Mercer County,…read moreinto Bucks County, PA, with the opening of a primary care building on Pennsylvania Trial, Newtown. There are five physicians in staff along with a nurse practitioner. The menu of services covers preventative medicine, adult medicine for seniors, women's medicine, holistic care, minor surgery and sports medicine. Of course, anything specialty not provided in house can be handled by referral to their hundreds of doctors working in another one of their facilities nearby. Their online presence includes a patient portal for access to your doctor's orders, prescriptions and scheduling appointments. As employees of Capital Health they can utilize the extensive services of their two hospitals in Trenton and Hopewell, NJ. These include the Capital Institute for Neurosciences, level II trauma center and Regional Perinatal Center, which also has the only level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the area. This ability to receive high levels of care under one administration can't be ignored, as the integration of services can be the difference between prompt attention and delayed treatment. This approach to contemporary medicine is gaining traction, making sole practionners and small offices a challenged minority. Competition comes from Penn Medicine and the Jefferson Health System, all of which have developed regional capacity for comprehensive medical care. They are both larger than Capital Health overall, but spread over the region, so that locally, Capital Health is on par with them in terms of available doctors and nearer medical centers. Rothman Institute, the renowned orthopedic surgical group is associated with CH, even though their primary attachment is to Jefferson in Philadelphia. For a primary care physician office with quality care, Capital Health Primary Care - Newtown compares favorably to the bigger boys out of the city.
