The management is atrocious. The Windows are the original from 1985 and are broken, leaking, and causing my electric heat bill to rise exponentially. They promised to replace it for the last three years but have failed to do so. The final straw was the lease renewal they sent for a basement apartment at $1907.00/month when the advertised price on apartments.com is $1839.00/month. when I brought it to their attention I was informed that the prices change daily, however, the lease presented preceded the online price. I have lived in the Princeton Green Apartments for about 11 months and I have had an excellent experience. During that time I was residing in a basement studio though it was really only a foot below ground level so my windows were not obstructed. I'm moving to a new city for work otherwise I would be renewing my lease when it ends next month. The good: - Flexible lease lengths - Maintenance is extremely quick to fix anything that goes wrong. I had a bathroom fan cover fall off and submitted a work order that night. The next day when I returned from work it was already fixed. - The front office will sign for packages (except USPS due to USPS's rules) and are open until 6 and on weekends so it's easy to pick up your package. - Parking is free and close to the door of the building - The leasing company has a pledge that will end the lease if you are laid off or if you are transferred to a new location which is EXTREMELY convenient. - Princeton Green does have a policy that allows you to move into a different unit if you aren't happy with the one you rented during a certain window of time. So if you have loud neighbors the leasing office will help you resolve any way possible. The bad: - Never really had anything bad - I've lived in some pretty bad and noisy places and this building was quiet and pleasant. Also, Kristen in the leasing office was always extremely helpful and followed up with everything that came to her. I did not have an opportunity to work with the other members of the leasing office so I cannot comment on them but Kristen is definitely a valuable asset to Princeton Properties. read more

The first year (09/2015) we lived here was very nice (building 760). The people were quiet and friendly, the building cleaned every day, staff so friendly, no complaints. The second year we lived here (09/2016-09/2017) was simply Armageddon. It started off last October (10/2016) when after being away from our apartment for only two hours for dinner, we came home to find my boyfriends car had become a Boston Duck Boat in the parking lot. With a simple thunderstorm the parking lot filled with water and flooded his car up to the roof, totaling it. It got better, in January of 2017, while sitting in our living room enjoying fresh snow falling, we smelt not 'chestnuts roasting on an open fire' but instead our light switch roasting on an open fire in our wall. Building maintenance came and took a look and couldn't believe it he even FaceTime with his other manager to show him the damage. When I asked the front office to have an electrician come take a look at the wires because we didn't want to be responsible for the building burning down. I was told 'maintenance took a look at it and that should be fine'. The wires in the apartment hadn't been checked since the 80's. Oh wait there's more...while having staff check our apartment on our way out they looked at our bathroom floors (attached) and asked what happened to them, after telling them that's what they looked like when we moved in, they did apologize for them being so bad and not being replaced.. Don't' think you'll be able to open up your apartment windows or door or even stand outside on your balcony. There are more spiders in and around that building then you can count. Onto the pool situation. There are no lifeguards, now most are okay with this, but make sure to keep an eye on your kids and even adults. My boyfriend was walking in the back and was summonsed over by the landscapers because a grown man was drowning in the pool. He was forced to jump in, in his clothes and pull him out (guy was fine, just didn't know how to swim..) We told the front desk what had happened and was told "thanks". He wasn't looking to get on Fox25 but hoping some policy's might get changed. Towards the end of our lease we had the divine pleasure of watching parents allow their children to pee in the drains of the pool and leave their kids 'loaded' diaper pool side. So if you like laying by the pool "this place is the sh*t" literally. We also before leaving had the pleasure to relive our college days, by seeing throw up a few times on the front steps of the building, hearing college parties and meeting random people in the hallways who smell of weed. I never could bring the trash out at night, always had to make my boyfriend do it, one to many drug deals occur by the dumpsters after 9PM by random cars pulling in, exchanging and leaving. The smell of this building, in the hallways, even with the air fresheners literally smell like a UTI in SeaWorld on a hot summer Florida day. If you like flee markets, this might actually be the place for you. More often then not people will leave their unwanted belongings in the laundry room or even their furniture right in the lobby (attached), super classy. Don't expect to wash your clothes on Saturday or Sunday...or really any other day. First off it cost at least $20 a week to do laundry. Sometimes your clothes don't dry and other times you put the soap in the washer and then it stops working. They break all the time or there always taken. If you like to meet your local law enforcement, this might also be the place for you. Time and time again we had to run and open the front door for the police who can't enter the building unless you let them in (super safe) so they can respond to the domestics. And yes the blonde at the front office is miserable and never happy. I once was bringing in a bundle of groceries into the building and made eye contact with her hoping she would open the front door as she was approaching it, instead she smiled at me and made a quick turn away. She will also sign for packages and they magically go 'missing' and show up three months later. The maintenance guys are the BEST here and the nicest. It's such a shame they've let this nice quiet place go. read more

Where to begin,I moved into this dump with high expectations,seeing as this was the first apartment complex I have ever moved into.The first week I had a pop up tent stolen,which I used every weekend for farmer's markets & from the time it took me to walk inside & ask my husband to come out and help carry it in for me. I reported it to the front desk and they said "There's nothing we can really do" & they could have cared less about the issue. After a month of living there, mail I would leave in the mailroom lobby was not being received by the recipients they were addressed to. This included bills, such as my car loan, utilities, etc. Again after reporting it to the front desk, they did nothing about it. After being on high alert about the kleptos that resided in the building, I would pay attention more carefully to the people I would see day to day. One person in particular was this older short black haired women that had a tendency to talk,mumble to herself & skulk around the building & the dumpster. My apartment porch was in direct view of the parking lot & dumpster and I would sit outside & garden & more than a handful of occasions I witnessed her digging in the dumpster,take the entire mail bin full of newspapers left for the other residents,& I also watched her walk away with my daughter's scooter she had left outside. I posted an honest bulletin about the issue asking for the thief to come forward before I had to go to the police. The front desk didn't like it, and informed us they will be "refusing our mail", in the meantime I had several packages that were signed for & delivered to the front desk,& after asking kindly for them they swore up & down they didn't have my packages,& when my husband called they even had the nerve to hang up on him. EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE SIGNED BY THE DUMBASSES AT THE FRONT DESK ALONG WITH THEIR CONFIRMED NAME & SIGNATURE that UPS has provided me.Which brings me to the next topic, the women at the front desk.The blonde woman with the crooked eye has to be one of the most unpleasant human beings I have ever encountered. She's rude, snotty, disrespectful & from the moment I encountered her I was instantly aware of how much of a problem dealing with her would be. The other women with the brown hair was a little easier to deal with but again, didn't want to deal with the serious issues going on in the building. I would have anxiety every time I would have to walk down to the front desk, just knowing I had to see them, & feel belittled by these two employees who obviously hate their job which only entails sitting at a desk & making phone calls..must be so demanding &stressful..The next point I would like to make is the cockroach problem in the building. The storage room is absolutely infested with roaches,they are scattered dead all over the floors of the storage units on the first floor.The residents and the building itself were also an issue. The floors squeak even if you tiptoe, & you can literally hear every step your neighbors are making. It wouldn't be so bad if just about every single resident wasn't rude and obnoxious. I don't think a day went by that I didn't hear my neighbors on all sides arguing, yelling,stomping,partying,dancing, etc.Reggaeton music is seriously ALWAYS blasting in multiple units at any given time day or night, along with loud yelling in portuguese.The pools are constantly packed to the limit with portugese family reunions it seems,& again along with obnoxiously loud reggaeton music and disrespectful unattended kids.I have never felt more disgusted and violated in a place I have resided.I could write a novel on the year from hell there, I'll wrap up the review with one final issue.The year my family and I lived here, was "in between" time before our move across country to Texas & we rented a Penske truck. Around the property there is deteriorating wooden fence.This fence is so flimsy and rotted out,that back in early summer we had a rain storm and I watched as the light wind we had pushed down a huge section of the fence that is parallel to Honey Dew Donuts. When my husband parked the truck he carefully positioned the truck out of the way so other residents could park, the fence line that was near the area he parked has a significant gap of grass between pavement/pavement barrier to the actual fence line. We had packed up completely&were moved out waiting for our deposit check when our landlord told us the women at the front desk claimed we damaged their fence & they want us to pay for repairs.A.my husband has driven trucks as a career so to say he hit the fence is ludicrous. Myself, daughter, and aunt all witnessed him pulling in & he never even came close to hitting the fence. B. they have failed to provide ANY kind of proof and can't even provide photos of the "damage". We have moved out close to a month ago & still haven't recieved the deposite we have been relying on for our long distance move. DO NOT MOVE HERE! read more

The office staff is very snotty and disorganized - they even lost a UPS package. Don't even think about getting your deposit back - that's a hopeless cause. It's also very noisy with the Marlborough Airport being nearby with a helicopter school and the section of Farm Rd is very busy. Shifty characters around as well. read more
