Got my EV charger installed by PEM. Very methodical and systematic process. Inspection - scheduling - installation - invoicing and payment - submission of permit to township all done well. Very systematic and they have an excellent communication system to keep customers updated. I had an issue and pinged their customer service who was responsive. This would warrant 5 stars but for one issue. The installer moved around stuff in two rooms and left them as is without putting them back. Also, there was a film of dust left on the carpet in the basement. I've had work done in the home earlier and the crew cleans up before leaving. I had put in a request in Yelp to install Holiday Lights around my house. Received a call from Marlon and after telling him about the Holiday Lights - he says they do not install Holiday Lights. Then why waste everyone's time. They may be good in what they do - but knowing customer requirements is as important as implementing them!! read more

Well, things didn't go well here. In short, I would never call them again because they weren't nice to us about our short delay in paying our bill and they weren't proactive in setting up a time to start the work. I kept asking for the second appointment time and never got it. We gave up and got someone else. Will never use again nor do I recommend anyone from using them. It was a horrible experience from the 1st phone call to attempt to schedule service. It took 3 phone calls to schedule after email confirmations contained incomplete, inaccurate description of requested work. Technician arrived as scheduled however didn't have certain equipment due to his van being serviced. Out of 5 items requested for service he only completed 2 and I was charged over $500. Charged $195 for "troubleshooting " a doorbell transformed that was buzzing, his fix was a piece of cardboard & a suggestion to upgrade the voltage of the transformer. He removed a ceiling fan but allegedly couldn't install new Hunter fan due to the wall switch mechanism. Of course he didn't have his truck so didn't have a plate to cover wires so my bedroom has wires exposed .I'm in complete and utter disgust and shock. read more

I was very hopeful. I'd had difficulty getting electricians to return calls or emails for some reason, and Alex got back to me right away when I used the Yelp email service. I scheduled someone to come out and give me an estimate. The guy who came, Nick, was helpful, knowledgeable, and competent. He said they'd schedule me for a Friday and send me a written estimate. I thought everything would be great. Then radio silence. They did not get back to me with an estimate, and did not return phone calls or email. So after over a month, I gave up and I'm moving on to another electrician. Apparently electricians are doing well enough in this area to pass up $1800 jobs without a care. read more

PEM is a very knowledgeable and professional electrician company though not low cost. They took on a project to inspect and update all of the aluminum-copper junctions in our house. We had them install some new lighting fixtures as well. They were very conscientious about conforming to Lawrence Twsp code, buying extra tools to ensure tightening the connections to specifications.
