He told me my order was $2.53 and that there was a minimum charge of $5.00 when using a card. He asked if I wanted to add something else to make $5.00 and I said no, not really. So I handed the donuts back to him and said I'Il pass. This is the first time something like this has happened to me when using a card. Normally it is just a 3% or a little more up charge when using a card (if that is even charged), which would have been fine, but to have to spend $2.47 more just to use a card, no thank you! This is 2026 and if an establishment can't be up with the times, I'll move on to the next. Other donut shops have no problem with this, so that is what I did, I moved on to the next and got my 2 donuts just like I wanted and paid with the card...... Hopefully this is not just a ploy to sell more. If they have a system that is doing this, then they need to get it corrected, because some people like me will just move on down the road and won't be back.
